Gu Wei held onto her hand.
Her hand was nearly the sa size as Su ixi’s, soft and smooth, boneless; and Gu Wei, in his weakened state, didn’t discern closely, feeling at peace just holding on.
He fell asleep again.
But two hours later, he woke once more, awakened by pain.
Perhaps because of the severity of the pain, his body contorted.
Qiu Yurou and Wan Manyu were still in the ward, neither daring to sleep, and as they witnessed Gu Wei’s agony, Wan Manyu instinctively extended her hand to him.
