Chapter 249: WHO IS HER REAL DAD 2?
Astrid rushed towards Miles, pulling him up as she stared into his eyes giving a warning not to dare lie to her:
"What did you just say?" she demanded.
Miles swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on Astrid’s hands. Instead of answering her question, he pulled her hands towards him, making Astrid’s eyes widen in shock.
"I want to check sothing," Miles let out instead, but before he could do anything, Julian slapped his hands off Astrid’s. "Don’t ss with my woman," Julain growled, he was already mad when he had forced her to co here now another series of truths that would make her sad was traveling itself
"You’re not going to make her cry again," Julian warned.
But Miles yanked his hands off, "Astrid may be my step-sister," he announced. "I need to check sothing, we need to know the whole truth, it begins to get crazy when you know you have been living with strangers all your life!"
Before anyone could stop him, Miles pulled Astrid’s arms towards him, sliding her hair to the side as he checked the back of her neck. Then he let go of her imdiately, with shock.
"It’s true," Miles whispered. "Astrid is my step-sister, she is Adam, not Mattie."
Astrid scoffed, her eyes rolling in disgust. "You’re just playing with ," she spat. "I just found out that Landon is my father. How can soone else be my father now?"
"Landon?" everyone announced in shock at how Astrid had t with him.
"What do you an?" Tonia looked up, stating to Astrid, "Landon is dead, how co you et with him."
But Astrid laughed crazily, shaking her head. "I need to go take a rest. This is all too much for ."
With that, she turned away, and Julian followed her out of the room. Tonia was left standing alone, frustration etched on her face.
Then Miles turned to her, "You took Mattie away from her biological parents," he spat.
"You need to take responsibility for your actions. Find out who her real parents are, reach out to them, and make sure she’s fine. Now that Josh is dead, it’s hard, but you have no choice."
With that, Miles pulled Marena and walked away, leaving Tonia speechless.
Astrid got into the car, her silence deafening. Julian didn’t dare speak, sensing her fury.
Just then, Astrid’s phone rang, and she checked to see a strange number. She hesitated for a mont before answering.
"Hello?" she said, her voice cold.
The voice on the other end welcod her,"Don’t you want to know more about ?" Astrid could tell the voice imdiately, after all, it has been embedded in her head since he talked to get
"I want to et you tonight. I will send you an address. I want to have a conversation with you."
Julian’s eyes widened in confusion as he stared at Astrid. Who was she talking to, and what did she want to discuss?

Astrid stepped out of her car, her eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of Landon.
She paced back and forth, her frustration growing with each passing minute.
Finally, a car pulled up, and Landon stepped out, accompanied by a group of n.
Astrid’s eyes narrowed as Landon approached her, a smile on his face, he noticed how she shifted back, staring at his n.
"Stay back!" he announced and they all stood back.
Then he reached out to pat her hair, "I’m proud of you, Astrid. You’re no longer the innocent-looking girl I once knew." he announced.
Astrid couldn’t help but wonder if he knew she wasn’t his real daughter or if everyone was just playing with her ntal health.
Astrid’s smirk turned into a scowl as she slapped his hand away. "How did you know I was your daughter?" she demanded, her voice cold.
Landon’s smile faltered for a mont before he replied, "You look just like Elizabeth. And I was sure that Elizabeth was pregnant with my child."
Astrid’s laughter echoed through the night air. "But I have heard another story," she said, her eyes glinting with skepticism. "How can you prove that I am your daughter? A DNA test would be nice, don’t you think?"
Landon’s face darkened, and he pulled Astrid’s arms roughly. "I don’t need a DNA test to know that you’re my daughter," he growled.
"I want you to be my daughter. Why is that so bad? I don’t want anyone else but you. Mattie is useless to
now, and I am ready to do everything to please you as my daughter."
Josh’s words echoed in Astrid’s head, what exactly was Landon driving to the ti around? He must have a reason why he wants her so badly.
"Where have you been all these years if you truly thought I was your kid?" she asked. "You went into hiding and made
suffer. Now, all of a sudden, you want ? Do you have another agenda?"
Landon’s face twisted, and he took a step closer to Astrid. "I just want to make things right," he said, his voice low and nacing. "I want to be a part of your life, Astrid. And I will do whatever it takes to make that happen."
Astrid shook her head, her eyes locked on Landon’s. "Then I will think about it, ... You can’t get back into my life easily." she let out.
Landon’s face lit up with hope, and he took a step closer to Astrid. But she turned away, her eyes fixed on her car.
Just as she was about to walk away, Astrid stopped and turned back to Landon.
She took a deep breath, her eyes searching his face. And then, in a move that surprised even herself, Astrid opened her arms and embraced Landon.
"It’s nice to have a father who cares for , for once though" she whispered, her voice muffled against his chest. "Even if you are evil."
Landon’s arms wrapped around her, holding her close. They stood there for a mont, the only sound the beating of their hearts.
Finally, Astrid pulled away, her eyes locked on Landon’s. "I will think about it," she repeated.
Landon nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "I will be waiting," he answered.
Astrid turned away, got in her car and drove away, leaving Landon standing alone in the darkness.
There she stared at his hair which she had cut off with her small scissors when she embraced him.
"Landon... Landon... I am not allowing anyone to trick
this ti around, I will get fact verified myself."
