Chapter 150: DRUNK DISASTER
Astrid and Maren stumbled out of the bar, their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders as they giggled uncontrollably.
They were both drunk, their words slurring together as they staggered down the sidewalk.
The bartender had tried all his possible best to stop them from leaving but they were so bent on not listening to him.
The bartender having no choice could only tag along with them as both of them staggered out. Astrid hands still have a bottle of wine but the bartender dare not collect it from her.
"I am so drunk and alive!" Astrid exclaid, her eyes shining with excitent. "I have never been this drunk before!"
Maren nodded enthusiastically, her own eyes glassy. Astrid knew she was going to have a deep regret. It’s her first ti drinking and she is already not in control of herself again.
"I know,
neither! We are such a good duo, Astrid! Thanks for coming into my life!" Maren’s voice echoed, and Astrid giggled uncontrollably.
"Maren," Astrid called as her leg wobbled about to fall. The bartender was quick to hold onto her, making her not hit the ground.
Astrid grinned at him, her words starting to slur. "I should be excited today... I... I... signed a contract with the JL Corps," Maren gasped, she let go of Astrid forgetting she wasn’t standing right she jumped around and clapped.
"Wow! That is a wonderful girl!" Maren scread now looking over to her friend only to find Astrid now on the ground.
"Astrid," she called, running to her and trying to help her up but she refused.
"See!" she scread with both hands raised. While the bartender shakes in fear now wanting Julian to co et her this way.
"The world doesn’t want ! It dislikes ," Maren decided to join her on the ground.
"Hey Astrid, it’s not the world, it’s . I should’ve grabbed you tightly," she let out but Astrud only broke into another giggle.
"I hate Julian," she said suddenly, her voice rising in resentnt. "He is so an to ! And I hate my father too, for making
go through this pain."
Maren nodded vigorously, her own words starting to slur.
"I hate the world for killing my mother," Astrid let out again this ti a bit sadly, her voice filled with sympathy.
"I promised to make my mum live a good life but I couldn’t fulfill the wish!" she let out this ti tears welling up in her eyes.
"And I hate Julian too, for being so annoying!" she added and Maren snapped her finger.
"Yeah! Julian is a jerk!" she added and Astrid glanced at Maren, "What will I do without you friend?" Maren burst out laughing.
"Of course nothing!" Maren replied as they both broke into a peak of laughter. Astrid was about to place the bottle in her mouth when Rowan appeared out of nowhere, a look of concern on his face.
"Hey, guys, what’s going on?" he asked, eyeing their drunken state as he snatched the bottle from Astrid.
Astrid’s eyes lit up, and she pointed at Rowan, her finger wobbling. "Rowan!"
His gaze darkened as he glared at the bartender, "It wasn’t my fault, I promise they threatened
and asked for it."
"What the heck! She doesn’t drink it would have a great effect on her," he growled and the bartender bowed.
"I am so sorry sir, I didn’t know.."
"He is a good friend!" Astrid exclaid, her voice slurring now gaining Rowan’s attention.
Maren nodded, her eyes shining with admiration. "And he’s so handso too!" Maren said, her voice filled with giggles.
Rowan chuckled at this, the drunken state of both ladies wasn’t what he was expecting.
"Let’s take you both ho since Julian isn’t here," he muttered. "But Julian would get jealous if he saw him close to you," Maren whispered.
Astrid grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I don’t care if Julian gets jealous," she said, her voice rising in defiance. "Rowan is my friend, and I like him!"
Rowan looked taken aback by their sudden admiration, but he smiled good-naturedly.
"Thanks, guys," he said, chuckling. "I think you’ve both had a bit too much to drink, though."
As Rowan reached out to help them up, a hand grabbed him by his arm.
"Hey! I told you Julian would get jealous!" Maren announced clapping while Astrid only scoffed.
"What the hell are you doing?" Julian growled, grabbing Rowan’s arm.
"Dude you can’t see I am trying to help my friend.." a punch and he could no longer continue.
"Yeah! That was lit!" Astrid scread and Julian glanced at her in shock, she always told him she didn’t drink. He can’t help but wonder what had prompted her to do so today.
Miles rushed over to help Maren, who was stumbling around, laughing hysterically. "Whoa, easy there," Miles said, catching Maren by the elbow.
"Let’s get you ho, okay?" he advised, knowing that was the best.
Rowan rubbed his jaw, looking at Julian with that of annoyance. "Dude, what’s your problem?" he asked, shaking his head.
Astrid, anwhile, was still giggling uncontrollably, her eyes shining with tears. "I am so sorry, Rowan," she said, her voice slurring. Julian’s just being a jerk."
Rowan’s anger dispersed imdiately and he smiled. Julian isn’t pleased with this but doesn’t snag to get the drunken Astrid mad.
Julian helped Astrid to her feet. "It’s okay, Astrid," Rowan said, chuckling.
"Rowan, I wouldn’t want to get pissed, get the fuck out of this place before I lose it on you!" Julian announced.
Rowan smirked and moved closer to Julian whose grip was still tight around Astrid.
"You must be good at going back on your words. This is the last ti, I will only give you a chance to take her ho because she’s drunk but won’t give you the opportunity next ti." Julian gusts clench about to punch him again but Miles stops him.
Miles had just got to the city from the airplane when he decided to reach out to his friend since he promised to co pick him up.
But all of a sudden all he heard was that Maren was in a club with Astrid, he imdiately took a cab down there without any hesitation and luckily he t Jukian at the door.
"Consider yourself lucky tonight," Julain stated.
"She is going to have too much effect on her. Make sure to take care of her. You don’t want a grandfather, knowing she got sick because of you."
"Get away from my way!" hen-pished let him out finding his way to the car and helping Astrid.
"I want to drink more!"Astrid exclaid, her eyes shining with excitent as she tried to wrestle free from Julian’s grip.
Maren nodded enthusiastically, her own eyes glassy. " too! Astrid!"
The bartender, who had been watching the scene unfold, couldn’t help but snicker. "Looks like soone’s had a little too much to drink," he chuckled to Larry, Julian’s driver.
Larry, who was standing nearby, grinned. "Yeah, and it looks like their n are going to have their hands full tonight." Larry thought.
Julian, who had been trying to corral Astrid, looked frazzled. "Astrid, co on, let’s get you ho," he said again, trying to steer her towards the car.
But Astrid was having none of it. "No, no, no!" she exclaid, stamping her foot. "I don’t want to leave Maren! We’re best friends!"
Maren, who was equally drunk, nodded in agreent. "Yeah, we are going to have a sleepover!"
Miles, a sigh frustrated lifted Maren from the ground, and suddenly both girls began crying.
"Maren he is taking
away, I don’t want to go with him he is annoying!" Astrid cried out but Juliak didn’t let go. Maren also was crying wrestling around for Miles to let her go.
As they finally managed to get the girls into their respective cars, Astrid turned to Julian and said, "I hate you, Julian! You are so an to ! I’m going to go to Rowan, he’s so much nicer than you!"
Julian’s face darkened with anger. "You’re not going anywhere near Rowan, drive Larry " he growled and the car drove out of the premises.
But Astrid just kept talking nonstop. "Rowan is so handso, and he’s so nice to . I like him, Julian! I like him so much!"
Julian’s anger boiled over, and he turned to Astrid, his ear almost emitting smoke.
"You think Rowan is handso? You think he’s nicer than ?" Astrid nodded her head innocently as she pouted her lip.
"Astrid, don’t piss
off!" he let out already furious, "You can’t stop
from talking, I am no longer the weak Astrid!" she argued.
"Rowan is far better than you, I Li..." Her words were left hanging when Julian leaned over and kissed Astrid, his lips crashing down on hers in a fierce and possessive kiss.
Astrid’s eyes widened in surprise, but weirdly she didn’t pull away. Instead, she kissed him back, her lips soft and yielding.
