Capítulo 986: Chapter 392: eting Turmoil

Emperor Star, Imperial Palace.

Yang Ming, fully dressed, walked out of the bathroom. Daphne, who had been waiting for a while, approached with two maids to tidy the wrinkles on Yang Ming’s uniform, pinning the knight commander badge taken from the crystal onto Yang Ming’s chest.

“It’s said that so Great Nobles will attend this eting. If you can avoid speaking, then don’t speak.”

Daphne softly advised:

“No matter what they say, just remain silent. You are an observer, rely attending the eting on behalf of your father.”

Yang Ming nodded imperceptibly, smiled and said: “Are you worried about ?”

“Yes,” Daphne replied with a smile, “You are my partner. Isn’t it normal for to care about you?”

“It should be.”

Yang Ming glanced at the two maids, who each bowed and stepped aside, revealing the projection matrix that had been prepared for so ti.

An ordinary communication projection requires only one device to et its needs, but for attending such a high-level eting, considering confidentiality and full coverage of information, a matrix-structured projection and capture device is required.

A chair was placed in the corner of the matrix.

Yang Ming stepped into the matrix, and the surrounding environnt quickly changed from a spacious and exquisite princess’s bedroom to a virtual eting room full of people.

It was more of a ‘courtroom’ than a eting room.

The entire venue was structured in a ‘square’ shape.

Three top commanders from the Military Departnt and the Great Elder of the Elder Court, along with two influential elders, sat on the highest row of seats, below which were about a dozen seats, equally divided between generals and Elder Court elders, with Admiral Thomas among them.

The other three sides were occupied by the Empire’s princes and dukes, along with departntal heads from the governnt.

Yang Ming deliberately glanced at the left corner, where so figures seed to be hidden.

— Most likely mbers of the Sherman family’s elite ruling faction.

When Yang Ming appeared in the venue, the crowd imdiately quieted down.

“Hanton!”

Admiral Thomas called out, pointing to the empty seat beside him: “Your seat is here.”

So conspicuous?

Located in the second row, center, directly below the three top commanders and the three Great Elders, it easily beca the focal point of the entire eting.

Yang Ming stepped forward calmly and took a seat in the projection matrix, which coincided with a chair in the eting room.

The eting room was silent for a few seconds, then whispers resud.

Yang Ming glanced at the simple interface in front of him and found that this eting must be of the highest confidentiality, with the function nu only showing ‘exit.’

Nearly a hundred people were present here, each one could be considered a luminary of the Empire;

For instance, Atro’s third uncle;

And counting those hidden in the dark, the exact number of ’round table mbers’ unknown, this was undoubtedly the Empire’s highest power eting.

Admiral Thomas rely smiled and winked at Yang Ming, glancing at the badge on Yang Ming’s chest with a hint of envy, saying no more.

Their close friendship was no secret, and this occasion wasn’t suitable for jokes or small talk.

After waiting for about half a Galaxy Ti, a dozen or so people arrived one after another, and the virtual eting room was finally filled.

The highest commander of the Imperial Military Departnt began the eting with his deep voice:

“We now comnce the highest-level closed-door eting of the Military Departnt, naly the coordination and preparedness eting for the insect disaster response.

“During the eting, please maintain communication silence, and no information leakage is allowed. Any breaches will be held accountable under the strictest confidentiality protection laws of the Empire.

“Admiral Thomas, please give a brief introduction to the eting contents.”

“Yes!”

Admiral Thomas stood up to respond, then conjured a speech manuscript out of thin air and activated a three-dinsional video for display on all sides.

“Everyone must have received the relevant information.

“The Sixth Rank queen of the Space Worm Clan that previously invaded our Empire’s territory is on the verge of completing its ascension. According to historical records of the Empire and the longstanding antagonism between the Space Worm Clan and us humans, there is a 95% probability that this Mother Worm will initiate a comprehensive extermination campaign against Milky Way human civilization.

“It’s well known that Milky Way human civilization originated from the seeding of a high-dinsional human civilization. We are the reserve force of high-dinsional human civilization and also the extended reach of high-dinsional humans into the three-dinsional material world.

“The material world, with linear ti developnt, forms the order basis of the high-dinsional world. Therefore, fundantally, the war between the Space Worm Clan and our three-dinsional world human civilization is a continuation of high-dinsional world interspecies conflict.

“Thus, this war cannot be avoided by us seeking peace, nor will it end when the Insect Race enters an inactive period.

“Being born in this era is our misfortune, but also our fortune. The fortune lies in that after this battle, our future generations will enjoy several centuries of peaceful developnt.

“History has proven that during similar insect swarm outbreaks, our Empire, considered backward and brutal by the democratic camp, consistently exhibits the highest efficiency.

“Today’s eting has three main topics.

“Firstly, the establishnt of the Insect Tide Disaster Relief Committee, composed of the Imperial Military Departnt, Elder Court, and relevant departntal heads, empowered to formulate and oversee the implentation of various plans.

“Secondly, the confirmation of the main plan and backup plans for responding to the insect surge.

“Thirdly, proposals to be formally submitted by committee mbers, followed by discussions on each proposal.

“Let’s proceed with the first item…”

While Admiral Thomas introduced, the three-dinsional projection continuously changed, revealing images of the insect swarm gathering at the border of the Milky Way.
