Capítulo 1408: Chapter 544: Lidi’s Concerns (Part 2)

“There is another way.”

Edwan Kabba imdiately beca interested: “What?”

“Beco the legendary Cloud Guard.”

Levi Badoli pointed to the white clouds in the sky, speaking slowly:

“You must have seen them before, when that smoke giant appeared, you two delayed for a long ti, and then those powerful Awakeners descended from the sky.

“They are the Cloud Guard, each one is a strong Awakener above Lv50, and they are all selected from the advanced training base.

“Do you want to join the Cloud Guard? I have connections.”

Edwan Kabba wondered: “Is the Cloud Guard that kind of elite Awakener rapid response unit?”

“Well, you could say that.”

Levi Badoli laughed:

“As far as I know, the Cloud Guard are elites among Awakeners, their numbers range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, look at these clouds above, many of them envelop their ships.

“Besides dealing with potential anomalies on the surface, they have a mission to protect the core regions underground.”

Yang Ming seed intrigued: “Core regions?”

“Specifically, I’m not too sure either,” Levi Badoli said, “I’m just familiar with a few instructors of the Cloud Guard, I also served there for a while… let’s talk about the association, as Daru said just now, we need a manifesto, and also make others aware of what our association is about.”

Edwan Kabba laughed: “Can I ask? Uncle, why do you want to set up this association?”

“?”

Levi Badoli’s eyes beca sowhat distant:

“We’ve failed, you know, our Kate ancestors, long ago, lost to our enemies.

“Then we lost this sky, deprived of the ability to produce spacecraft.

“We’ve developed this planet to the fullest extent, to progress further, we can only get out from here… there’s no space left, do you understand what that ans?”

Yang Ming and Edwan Kabba nodded simultaneously.

“Alas!”

Levi Badoli said solemnly:

“But, most of us are just living our lives, constantly struggling for so-called life and superiority, with no concern about whether we can gain the ability to travel in space.

“Yes, whether we can go out seems unrelated to individuals in this society, but, but when one day, this world becos unbearable, what will we use to sustain such a large population?”

“This is the importance of resource reserves and future planning.”

“Only by going out, exploring new planets, finding new hos, can we maximize our civilization’s survival ability.”

Edwan Kabba asked: “But, won’t those enemies be watching us?”

“Enemies have always been watching us.”

Levi Badoli glanced at Yang Ming, continuing:

“After we were defeated by the enemies, they never gave up on monitoring us, they keep a close eye on our technological developnt, as soon as we get on the right path, they’ll impede and sabotage us.

“We have no chance to coexist peacefully with them, as they are the pioneers, holding a huge advantage, controlling everything from all angles.”

“As long as we don’t touch space technology, unable to leap to broader space, they won’t impose any restrictions on us, but as soon as we wish to upgrade ourselves, achieve a leap in civilization, they will stop at nothing to stifle us.”

Yang Ming said: “It’s almost a dead end.”

Edwan Kabba asked: “Was it because the Kate people, aning us, wanted to challenge that powerful civilization back then that we failed?”

“Yes, this part of history you don’t have access to, I heard about it from a few friends who study history.”

Levi Badoli sighed:

“Actually, from my perspective, I can understand our enemies, that powerful civilization that once defeated our Kate ancestors.

“On the path of civilization developnt, they walked earlier and further, thus the oppression of us, the later ones, beca justified, filled with righteousness, because they set the rules, when we seek to benefit our own developnt, they accuse us of violating those rules that inherently favor them.”

“Yes, the universe is vast, but even vaster is the brilliant civilization created by life forms, given enough ti and a growing population, the civilization can expand outward continuously.”

“So I dare to assert, in the era of interstellar navigation, the right to develop is a civilization’s most important and fundantal right.”

“If there’s another civilization that unreasonably… note, I say unreasonably, unreasonably deprive a civilization of its developntal right, they can be deed unjust.”

Yang Ming suddenly laughed: “What good is calling it unjust? There’s no sovereign above all civilizations to te out divine punishnt to the violent civilization.”

“Yes, that’s the cruelest part of civilization.”

Levi Badoli’s gaze was distant yet firm:

“You two must rember, of course, rembering this won’t do you much good, I’m just habitually using a teacher’s tone, to instruct my students.”

“The right to develop, is the most basic right of civilization.”
