Exhausted, Mimili fell into a deep sleep in the large bedroom of the beach villa;
while Boss Yang, who had only slightly exerted himself, with a hint of unsated appreciation, ran his fingers over her delicate skin, then turned his head and put on the holographic glasses.
Before officially infiltrating the City of Light, Yang Ming naturally needed to learn more about the place.
He wasn't a fanatic gar, nor did he have a peculiar habit of being abused by bosses repeatedly. If he had the power to cheat, Yang Ming would surely enable immortality, auto-aim, massive strikes, full map view, and one-click enemy crystal detonation... check everything that could be checked.
Pragmatism is one of Boss Yang's best qualities.
Yang Ming quickly went through the scenes he had seen last ti, and then followed Labuduo's perspective, admiring this 'One Star World'.
Having traveled through so many places in the Milky Way, Yang Ming was rarely amazed by surface architecture.
The humans of the Milky Way, after mastering nearly infinite energy from an individual human's perspective, always enjoyed creating magnificent architectural wonders.
For example, the giant star rings on Yaha Star, six artificial ring structures wrapping around the planet, using their bodies to depict the precise location of near-star orbit, also activating the full potential of Yaha Star as the Empire's comrcial and trade hub.
Or the cylindrical artificial space settlents of the Guel Alliance;
And those deep-space space ports serving military purposes;
Not to ntion the massive 'Transforrs' on the Emperor Star... each one so spectacular.
Yet within this virtual City of Light, when Yang Ming imrsed himself in Labuduo's perspective, he once again felt a sense of shock at what he saw and heard.
What shocked him was the abundance, complexity, and chaos of this place.
Billions of virtual thought bodies living in irregular cube-shaped districts, not to ntion, how vast and complex were the communication signals they generated every mont?
It was simply unimaginable.
In this virtual world, 'humans' spread like cancer cells on this planet, frantically expanding until they filled inside and outside the entire virtual planet.
No district, no street is the sa.
The developnt among various districts is not balanced, which also corresponds to the gap between rich and poor and class divisions.
Here is the most classic comparison:
So districts seem to be financial economic centers, where 'white-collars' who don't produce much labor themselves ride various luxury hovercars, traversing buildings with rich and individual design language;
Other districts focus on labor production, where workers rush into production lines to produce items with repetitive labor, then label these items, making them the source of financial industry, nurturing a group of financial industry practitioners with ultra-high incos without the need for labor.
Clearly, the City of Light is not an ideal place where everyone is like a dragon; here is rely a complicated, magnified version of the real world.
What puzzled Labuduo was why in such an advanced city, the proportion of automated production was so low, and there were even complicated assembly lines for manually assembling precision chanical guards.
But Labuduo quickly understood the key to this.
[To ensure employnt data and maintain social stability here.]
Similarly, the City of Light contains an enormous amount of cultural information, with these virtual thought bodies who think of themselves as 'humans' having dazzling and colorful ntal entertainnt projects.
If viewed as a real world, the people here, generally speaking, live relatively comfortably.
The small crab that Labuduo transford into wandered through several districts, soon entering an old district with a sowhat dirty and dilapidated environnt.
Compared to the bustling or quiet districts in every direction, this old district seed quite run-down.
There are also normal residential areas here, but the pedestrian flow on the streets isn't large, and many holess people can be seen wandering, with most entertainnt facilities being very old.
Labuduo soon noticed that many buildings here were damaged, as if they had gone through nurous wars and had yet to be repaired.
[If this is a virtual world created by the Emperor Guard System, and the purpose of this virtual world is to nurture chanical thought bodies for the Levi Fleet, then why would battles break out here?]
Labuduo thought.
He began to explore the answer to this question.
The semi-transparent little crab started wandering around.
Yang Ming, following Labuduo's perspective, began to visit buildings with battle remnants, many places looking as if fires had broken out, or vehicles had combusted spontaneously.
He was also a bit puzzled, so he directly asked: "Lyu, what's going on here?"
"Boss, please keep watching," Lyu teased with a smile, "The City of Light has level divisions ranging from Lv01 to Lv99, which is actually a division of combat power."
Boss Yang puzzled: "But as we've seen along the way, most thought bodies are just in a normal state, where's the battle?"
"Most are below LV10, and the historical culture here is set as prepare-for-war nationwide, so everyone has to undergo basic military training in school... just keep watching, it will appear soon!"
Yang Ming, increasingly curious, continued to observe closely.
About a minute later, the small crab that Labuduo transford into crawled out of a standalone building under reconstruction, all its glass shattered, with multiple burnt marks as if a violent explosion had occurred inside.
