"Boss, do we really have to help Li revive Levi?"
In the bathroom of the suite, Yang Ming leaned on the edge of the sink, staring at the handso young man in the mirror, not knowing how to answer the question for a mont.
Since Lyu dared to ask this, it can be concluded that Li shouldn't be able to hear their conversation now.
"Right now, Li is in control, and we have no choice but to follow her lead for the mont."
Yang Ming said calmly:
"She has control over our vital points, and since our current directions are aligned, temporarily cooperating with her is the wisest choice."
"But," Lyu said softly, "we still can't be certain of her true intentions for wanting to revive Levi Sherman. If her goal is to reinforce Levi's Empire and conquer the entire Galaxy again, then we will face a direct threat."
"That's what I am most worried about right now."
Boss Yang sighed, folding his arms and leaning against the wall.
"Actually, Boss," Lyu whispered, "our primary objectives are twofold: first, to free Wind from the control of the Sherman Empire, and second, to find a safe haven for your hotown. The revenge against the Empire and the overthrow of its existing rule are beyond those basic objectives."
But Yang Ming replied, "These issues are essentially the sa. If the Empire is not overthrown, these two basic objectives cannot be achieved."
Lyu acknowledged with a sound and continued to ponder.
Li's purpose is unclear, and she has complete control;
The current Li isn't fully complete either. Even if the active Li today is against the Empire, the complete Li might still support it.
Completing Levi Sherman's resurrection ceremony, bringing back this founding Emperor of the Empire, poses more risks than opportunities for Boss Yang.
"It's indeed troubling," Lyu sighed, "Li has tid this perfectly. Right when the Empire is in chaos, she seeks our cooperation, making us eager to rely on her power yet afraid to confront the Empire directly... we're completely at her rcy."
"Not entirely at her rcy, we still have so room to maneuver."
Yang Ming said gently:
"For example, in the network world beyond the Empire's borders, you can directly confront her, and with the intelligence and information we have now, publishing it would be a blow to her as well.
"Even taking the worst-case scenario, if Levi Sherman truly cos back to life, it's just an additional threat for us.
"But for the Sherman family, that's the ergence of the strongest contender for power. Can you guess how those old mbers of the Sherman family would react?
"The Empire's military force consists of two parts: the regular forces and the Levi Fleet. If a conflict arises between the two, it would be a blessing for human civilization in the Milky Way."
Lyu couldn't help but laugh, "Boss, even your dreams have style."
"Stay calm," Yang Ming admired his own face in the mirror, "still the most pleasing to the eye... How's it going with Mimili?"
"The nearby patrol fleet has already been inford in advance, a few warships from the Guel Alliance happen to be near that rchant ship and are on their way to escort it. As long as the warships arrive nearby, the probability of the pirate group's action will be low."
Lyu reminded:
"Boss, if you want to continue using Miss Mimili's influence over the Pioneers to search for the whereabouts of the Third Pioneers, it might expose us to so risk. Miss Mimili being with you at the Military Intelligence Bureau was almost semi-public."
"No worries," Boss Yang winked, "Mimili's main task is to accompany on vacation. There's no hurry to find the Third Pioneers."
Lyu: ...
"You! I thought you just finished the Empire quest and would be eager to continue the Pioneers' mission!"
"I need so rest too."
Yang Ming stretched lazily and headed towards the sofa bed in the corner of the suite.
He certainly wouldn't share a bed with that old gentleman.
"Report any news from the Empire tily, especially keep an eye on Saka Star. I'm worried those Great Nobles might retaliate."
"Understood."
...
"Oh, look!"
Kolev waved his communicator boastfully, "Your dear Uncle Ming actually called this old man first."
Mimili made a face, then leaned over, cocking her ear to eavesdrop.
Kolev connected the call and imdiately heard the characteristic bubble sound of the Yang Ming replacent robot: "Uncle Haton, so suspicious individuals have infiltrated your ship. They seem to be scouts from a pirate group. Be careful."
"This should be his assistant," Mimili whispered, winking at Kolev.
Kolev shook his head calmly, "Still, he thought of you, this mature and steady old father, first."
Mimili suppressed the impulse of disrespecting her father, calmly shifted her gaze, and began observing the travelers around, looking for suspicious individuals.
"We can actually enjoy this kind of treatnt," Mimili murmured, "all along, we've been the ones robbing others, and now we might get robbed, do you think they'll attack the passenger cabin directly?"
Kolev replied, "Don't think too much about it. How much profit could co from attacking the passenger cabin? Attacking the engine room directly, then threatening the captain and the rchant ship company for money, is the most efficient plundering thod."
"Is it that guy in the corner?"
Mimili raised her chin.
Kolev frowned, glanced over, and laughed, "You've got a keen eye."
