Capítulo 1164: Chapter 453: The Beginning of Civil Strife (Part 1)
“Be sure to make it clear to the mbers of the support groups everywhere, the protests must never escalate into violent conflicts, eliminate smashing, burning, and looting! There can’t be any criminal phenona! That would tarnish the White Ghost!”
“Uprising? What the hell kind of uprising! Do you think this is primitive civilization? This is the interstellar era now, do you have a fleet? Even though the Empire has gone a bit too far this ti, life isn’t unlivable for everyone. We just need to support the White Ghost, understand?”
“Oh my gosh, why did I take this task.”
Captain Griss wiped the sweat off his forehead, turned his head to look at his team mbers, and shouted irritably:
“Move faster! You are now official staff of the White Ghost fan support group! Make sure these ssages reach most of the White Ghost fans’ ears! Get the White Ghost fans to maintain order, not beco radicals!”
“Captain, is this really a task assigned by White Ghost?”
“Ah, his assistant instructed it,” Captain Griss grinned, “Don’t worry, this is political maneuvering, both sides are manipulating each other, how could the White Ghost possibly let the Empire genuinely fall into chaos?”
A group of Transford Soldiers nodded in half-understanding.
“Hurry up and work! Our current work is of great significance, we must control the extent of the turmoil!”
“Captain, does this count as taking private jobs?”
“Not at all! I received two orders, one from the president of the support group, which is the assistant to the White Ghost, another from the Military Departnt, both orders have the sa content, which is to avoid bloody conflicts as much as possible.”
Griss sighed and remarked:
“That’s more like it, everyone makes a fuss, vents so emotions, and that’s it.”
“But Captain, there have already been casualties on so planets, and the people have started besieging the nobles’ manors.”
“Captain, there has just been news of so Little Nobles being attacked by civilians.”
Griss frowned tightly.
The demonstrations to support the White Ghost were more about the people expressing their support for the White Ghost.
But if the protests gradually evolve into violent confrontations targeting the noble class, and truly result in vicious incidents where nobles are beaten to death by the people, then the situation will get really serious.
Griss cursed: “What on earth is the Imperial Military Departnt thinking? Why did they suddenly start pressuring the White Ghost? Damn! If they cause a big ss, we unlucky ones are the ones who suffer in the end!”
“Captain! There’s a new update on the White Ghost’s official website live stream!”
“What?”
“Uh, the Empire has sent another fleet, about two hundred main battleships, to guard near the Dreadnought, the Dreadnought Main Gun has been charged.”
“The Imperial Military Departnt is about to hold a press conference in fifteen minutes!”
Griss:…
“Have they let bugs into their old brains?”
Griss spat out a few curses, and none of the young Transford Soldiers in the eting room dared to respond.
…
Saka Star, outside the lord’s mansion.
A large number of people arrived here a few Galaxy Tis ago, they didn’t make noise, didn’t hold any flags, just stood quietly on the street outside the lord’s mansion, backs to the mansion, hand in hand forming several walls of people.
When Saka Star faced extinction crisis, the White Ghost never abandoned them.
When the Dreadnought targeted the White Ghost, they didn’t want to abandon the White Ghost either.
Behind the window of the lord’s bedroom, Yang Ming looked at this scene, and infinite emotions stirred in his heart.
Although these are part of his plan to challenge the Empire’s hegemony, he is indeed deeply encouraged, feeling that he is on the right path.
Lyu’s reporting voice occasionally echoed in his ear.
Most of what Yang Ming heard were good news.
So far, the best news is that ‘the Sherman family attempted to activate the Imperial Defense System but were denied access’, those scientific personnel responsible for maintaining the black box of the core legal principles are sweating profusely at this mont.
Yang Ming looked into the next room.
Daphne was there, using a special set of encrypted communication equipnt, participating in the Sherman family’s roundtable eting.
Yang Ming is very curious now about what tricks these people can still pull out.
As long as the Sherman family doesn’t collectively lose their minds, they won’t dare directly bombard Saka Star, or else the Empire’s division will beco irreversible;
The Sherman family might think that the tens of millions of people on Saka Star would be a burden to his White Ghost, but just the opposite, this actually provides ‘political protection’ for Yang Ming.
In the neighboring room.
Daphne is sitting in a gray, hazy projection space, her expression sowhat tense, occasionally clenching her fists.
Clearly, she has heard so argunts that she finds extrely absurd.
At this eting, indeed many elders from the Sherman family were slightly agitated.
“…Do you think protests can crush us?”
“This is the Empire, not the New Federation!”
“These vile peasants don’t even know why they can live peacefully in the Milky Way!”
“What’s the practical significance of saying these angry words now? We must be vigilant against the possibility of peace transformation by foreign forces right now! Especially the liberal and democratic camps, they will surely exploit these issues within the Empire to further divide us!”
“What do we do then? The Dreadnought can’t intimidate the White Ghost, so we directly concede?”
“Of course not, we have no need to concede; the disastrous consequences of conceding far surpass the threat of foreign forces.”
“The royal family of the Empire cannot fail.”
The virtual eting room gradually quieted down.
Director Eno calmly said, “Have you all lost your nerve already?”
“Eno, since it was you who deployed the Dreadnought, what do you plan to do next?”
“I admit, I indeed underestimated the preparations Hanton made earlier in this matter,” Director Eno’s eyes glinted slightly, “He must have anticipated what thod we would use and prepared a counter-strategy, leaving us very passive now.”
“Give a solution,” Director Eno’s grandfather said solemnly.
Director Eno nodded, “The solution is simple. Directly summon the White Ghost and, using the reason of releasing an Empire traitor, take him away from Saka Star.”
Soone imdiately objected, “Wouldn’t that confirm the Empire’s persecution of the White Ghost?”
Director Eno retorted, “Now is there any practical significance in caring about such titles and reputations? Isn’t it an accepted fact by the public that the Empire’s Military Departnt’s senior officials are attempting to persecute the White Ghost?”
Several people pondered.
Director Eno spoke seriously:
“We absolutely cannot make any concessions, now we have reached a critical stage in our ga with Hanton, let the people curse all they want, their living environnt is in our hands, it won’t cause too much trouble.
“The real threat now is Hanton himself.
“He can resurrect indefinitely, which ans he can use this characteristic to launch hundreds of attacks on us, as long as one or two succeed, we will face disaster.
“His own harmfulness far exceeds that of the Valkyrie.
“Don’t be intimidated by the public protests; the people don’t hold warships or cannons. Without our permission, they can’t even leave the planet they were born on… Why are you all so anxious here? The Sherman family has ruled this Empire for tens of thousands of years, can’t they handle even this little storm?
“My suggestion is to adjourn for now; don’t discuss what to do so early, let us finish a set of combinations first.”
An elder asked, “Eno, what’s behind this set of combinations you ntioned?”
“Locking the target with the Dreadnought is the first step, secretly promoting the idea that the White Ghost has a plan to ntally control the great Emperor, that’s the second step… Next, release signals of goodwill and invite the Ghost Duke to Emperor Star to explain the reason for releasing Catherine to His Majesty, and see how he responds.”
“While he’s on Saka Star, we absolutely cannot fire; unless you want the Empire to plunge into a wave of strife due to the panic of billions of people, but as long as he boards a starship, we seize the initiative.”
“Then, we need to present two conditions: first, his ho planet; second, use video footage of when we once defeated a true Ancient God to pressure him.”
“There’s no way to plan ahead after this; we need to formulate our strategy based on his reaction. Our goal is to separate him from the Empire’s populace, away from the public foundation, everything else cos after.”
The group of elders nodded slowly in agreent.
And from this mont onward, Director Eno gained more family discourse rights.
Eno looked toward the corner, “Daphne, what’s Hanton doing now?”
“Reading, a space adventure novel.”
Daphne said softly.
