The Old Emperor picked up the crystal glass beside him and took a sip of the Neuro Corrosive Agent inside.

The Old Emperor chuckled lightly, raising his head to gaze at Director Eno, a certain sharpness visible in his old eyes.
“Uncle, we are family, and family shouldn’t hide any secrets.
“I don’t know how you view the Emperor Guard System, but to , it is rebellious, sluggish, slow, and can no longer earn my trust. The Empire doesn’t need such a burdenso intelligent auxiliary system.
“If Emperor Guard 2 can fulfill the role, why not replace it now?”

Director Eno pondered for a mont.
“Your Majesty, you have the highest reading permissions for the Empire’s secrets, but you rarely use this permission.”
“So many things need to explain to you for you to understand.”
“I always trust you the most, Uncle,” the Old Emperor smiled and said, “You go ahead, I will listen carefully.”
Director Eno said: “First of all, we are still unable to ascertain whether the Thought Body of our ancestor has completely collapsed and perished.”
Daphne paused her motion of drinking soup.
The Old Emperor nodded: “I heard such rumors when I was a child too.”
“This isn’t actually a rumor,” Director Eno said, “Before this insect swarm, I couldn’t be sure, but based on clues from the family library, combined with various indications from the Levi Fleet… I’m afraid this matter is true.”
The Old Emperor slightly frowned: “What is true?”
“Our ancestor, the founding Emperor of this nation, his will has not disappeared on the physical level.”
“Oh?”
The Old Emperor stared at Director Eno: “Isn’t it said that even if human consciousness is uploaded into machinery, it lasts at most only two hundred years? Human consciousness lacks the exquisite regulation of the human body, it will gradually collapse and eventually be assimilated or disintegrated by chanical programs.”

Director Eno suddenly called out, and the two most powerful elders in the Empire simultaneously looked towards Daphne.
Daphne smiled: “Uncle Eno, what are your instructions?”
“I rember you scored full marks in your course on family history.”
Director Eno smiled and said: “Tell us about what happened in the last five years of the founding Emperor, a brief account of all recordings about the great Emperor.”
“Yes.”
Daphne pursed her lips, thoughtfully contemplating for a while before softly saying:
“Five Galaxy Years before the light from the Constant Star was obscured, the great Emperor decided to store the Eternal Fleet.
“The Empire was already too strong, strong enough to flatten human civilization in the Milky Way, but such flattening was aningless, the great Emperor repeatedly warned us, civilization developnt is constrained by communication technology and social forms in spatial expansion, there’s an absolute limit, occupying more planets does not necessarily benefit the Empire’s stability.
“The Empire should exist for a long ti, until we reach the true goal, climbing to the edge of this desolate Abyss.
“Three Galaxy Years before the light from the Constant Star was obscured, the great Emperor awoke again, calling his children to his side.
“‘Children, I’m about to leave this world.’
“The successors of the great Emperor cried tearfully, calling for the Emperor’s eternity, but the great Emperor rely shook his head with a smile.
“‘Children, humans cannot be eternal, humans are just an ordinary species in this universe, because so groups of this species have reached higher dinsions, they in turn help other groups complete their expansion.’
“In this sense, we are like insects, both domineering, expansionism and hegemonism stem from our desire for more living resources.

Daphne paused her speech, looking towards Director Eno who gestured.
Director Eno said: “Very good, your mory is still impressive, continue eating.”
“Yes.”
Daphne bowed her head and continued to drink her preferred liquid food.
Director Eno looked at the Old Emperor, speaking warmly: “Your Majesty, did you notice?”
“Notice what?” The Old Emperor said, “I’ve morized these things too.”
“Our ancestor, the great founding Emperor,” Director Eno spoke softly, “In the three years preceding his physical death, he should have suffered a trendous setback. According to historical records and so precious image docuntation, I discovered, his deanor, gaze, and thinking underwent obvious changes.”
The Old Emperor smiled and said: “Perhaps, the war this ti was against natural aging.”
