Capítulo 1027: Chapter 406: First Battle, First Kill!
The first contact battle between the Imperial Fleet and the insect swarm quickly escalated to a fever pitch.
As the Imperial Dreadnought opened fire, a Fake Mother Insect appeared leading a large swarm, attempting to surround the Human Fleet from multiple directions.
Both sides seed to be testing each other.
However, the insect swarm’s probing caused a small-scale ‘panic’ on the Empire’s side.
Stealth insects, special adult insects above Fifth Rank, are a special type evolved by the Insect Race for special operations against the Human Fleet. They possess stealth flight capabilities and usually function as the frontline troops in harassnt operations against the Human Fleet, with more than six different forms.
Tens of thousands of suddenly appearing stealth insects started attacking the outer protective shields of so battleships.
With special limbs vibrating at a unique electromagnetic frequency, they continuously attempted to resonate with the protective shields of human ships, intending to enter inside and directly attack the hull.
Ship bodies contacted by Fifth or Sixth-Rank adult insects would be torn open in a short ti.
Panic arose on the human side, but each ship’s operators still received accurate and precise instructions.
Close-range defensive cannons crossfired.
A large number of stealth insects were directly lted!
The well-prepared small drone swarm quickly entered the battle.
cha, each piloted by a soldier, ejected from battle pods. With nerves already tense, the cha operators used their automatic targeting systems to lock onto nearby insects, just as they were trained, and pressed the fire button.
Miniature Missiles, with tail flas trailing, scread towards the nearby insects. The gaps between the warships had already beco another battlefield!
A Supply Ship suddenly exploded!
The explosion’s radiation caused the protective shields of more than a dozen nearby ships to fluctuate simultaneously!
Thousands of stealth insects, resembling mosquitoes and over ten ters long, burst out from the explosion, launching suicide charges at ships in all directions.
However, more cha and drone swarms rushed out from the ships,
beams of laser crossing each other, with less than ten percent missing their targets.
On the periphery, the insects had completed their encirclent, and two massive insect swarms, like terrifying monsters with wide-open jaws, seed ready to swallow these six thousand ships whole!
Shoot, shoot, shoot!
The operators of each ship executed the instructions appearing before them, or in their ears, at their fastest speed.
These Imperial regular combat ships, at this mont, exerted their maximum performance.
The commanders and generals, at this mont, could only act as a backup role, so experienced officers had already roughly calculated that by the ti these two swarms made contact with the fleet, only twenty percent of their number would remain, posing no significant threat to the fleet.
Moreover, the closer they were to the ships, the more effective their heavy bombs could be.
Supply Ships shuttled ticulously throughout the ‘whale’s head’, replenishing energy in an orderly manner, boosting the morale of the warriors to face the subsequent insect swarms…
Just then!
A piercing alarm sounded from the back of the ‘whale group’.
The space vibration devices installed by the Empire at the rear seed to have failed, with a series of pitch-black holes appearing at the back.
Another Fake Mother Insect, radiating a gentle white glow, erged, standing over six hundred ters tall. Its upper half was humanoid, while the lower half was a terrifying form that made the heads of many old generals go numb.
The second Fake Mother Insect was surrounded by three hundred Insect Race Battleships, each adorned with dazzling golden patterns.
An encirclent from front and back!
In this first encounter, the Insect Race revealed their newly evolved traits!
On the ships, from General to soldiers, everyone found it hard to breathe at this mont.
This was almost a fated defeat; the only question was how many insects they could take down and how much they could contribute to the resistance against the insect swarm!
So bent down, dry-heaving under the excessive pressure, while others couldn’t help but curse looking at the swarm appearing behind, but no one stopped working.
The despair in their eyes couldn’t extinguish the fire in their hearts.
And at this mont, all the ship operators received the sa ssage.
Advance!
Advance to charge!
The route of the charge was inclined upward! The ships were ordered to adjust thirty degrees clockwise, concentrating sixty percent of their firepower on the upper side. The Dreadnought locked its target on the Fake Queen in front!
In the command center, in that beam of light, Li had raised her hands, her eyes shining brightly, and a faint cold smile appeared on her lips.
The Imperial Fleet launched an attack charge against the insect swarm in front!
The response of the insect swarm was even more direct.
Disregarding the minefield ahead, all their ships spread out, launching an encircling attack on the Imperial Fleet!
They attempted to extinguish this human army with their sea of insects!
…
“Quick! Move it!”
Griss kept shouting as they received new orders and retreated from the assault boat, gathering towards the launch track at the front compartnt of the Advancent Ship.
Griss genuinely couldn’t understand what the Commander was thinking.
But now, he and his team mbers felt the crisis of life and death.
Above and below, front and back, there were insects everywhere.
The Imperial Fleet charged forward directly, while the Assault Ship they were on, through precise maneuvering, had reached the foremost area of the fleet.
They were adjacent to the Dreadnought.
Fifty thousand Transford Soldiers from the Heavenly Fury Fortress, clad in armor, riding thirty-two of the Empire’s most advanced Advancent Ships, guarded two Dreadnoughts, charging headlong towards the front.
Suddenly, Griss understood.
If they could take down the Fake Queen head-on, the front insect swarm would lose most of its combat capability. Even if the swarm managed to connect to the queen’s command system at the back, it would cause widespread chaos, giving the fleet a chance to jump to a warp zone and retreat before additional insect reinforcents arrived in front!
