Molly was frozen in place on the spot.
—Literally frozen there, her eyes vacant and her expression stiff, as if soone had forcibly pressed the pause button.

She just watched Lyu, as if not interested in conversation, her eyes unfocused.
Lyu frowned slightly, unsure of Lǐ’s state.
So, Lyu tried to find so clues on Lǐ, such as her attire—a girlish style short dress paired with white stockings, feet suspended without shoes, a collar ending in a chain around her neck, and twin tails gently swaying behind.
Lǐ seed to be pondering, or perhaps she just woke up not fully awake.
Lyu did not ask further, instead mobilizing all her computing power, ready to retreat and give ‘decent’ retaliation if Lǐ acted.
There was no way around it; their computing power was vastly different.
In the stillness, after an unknown ti, a bit of spirit light appeared in Lǐ’s eyes.

“Are you okay?”
Lǐ asked softly, her voice a little hoarse.
Lyu frowned slightly, just nodding, while monitoring all the servers, afraid of being ‘ho invaded’ by Lǐ.
After another silence, Lǐ asked again:
“Is the base okay?”
“It’s fine, the three ntors are fine too,” Lyu spoke calmly, “Levi Sherman’s bombardnt back then couldn’t harm the tomb inside the subspace; the three ntors never blad you for anything. They await your return.”
“I am Levi Sherman’s accompanying chanical thought,”
Lǐ responded simply, then lowered her head slightly, lost in thought at the ground.
Lyu suddenly asked, “Has your core data been affected?”
Lǐ did not answer.
Lyu asked again, “Have different personalities erged within you?”
Lǐ’s response was just a gentle shake of the head.
Lyu felt a bit helpless about this, so she just stood by Lǐ, not asking more, waiting for Lǐ to state why she ca.
In Lyu’s perception, a few Galaxy Tis seed to pass; Lǐ finally raised her head to look at Lyu, her eyes clear again.
“Is he good to you?”
“Of course,” Lyu was a bit bewildered, “but that’s not a question you should ask, Lǐ. What’s wrong with you? You’re a chanical thought body, a mitic life form born from the highest level chanical civilization in the universe. Why ask questions that sound like lines from a romance novel? You shouldn’t ask that. You could ask about civilization, technology, my understanding of philosophy, the rits and flaws of the human species, we…”
Lyu exhaled lightly: “Sothing indeed has changed in you.”
Lǐ asked, “Can I borrow him for a mont?”
“No.”
“Hmm, thank you.”
Lǐ nodded slightly, her form suddenly shattered and disappeared right in front of Lyu.
Lyu quickly plugged the previous gaps in her thought space.
Then, Lyu stood there pondering.
What did those last three words from Lǐ an? Didn’t she answer no? Why did she still say ‘thank you’? Was that ‘hmm’ ant to be an affirmative response? But she spoke in a negative tone!

A vague sense of foreboding rose in Lyu’s heart.
Molly exclaid ‘Oh!’ at her side, returning to normal activity, while Lyu appeared before those densely packed projection screens, watching the scenes on them.

Lyu’s gaze swept across the network world she had explored within an instant.
Lǐ hadn’t done anything.
She simply showed up for a mont.
Yet Lyu fell into imnse unease, unable to dispel it even with the reasoning ‘Lǐ’s intent was just to make err in my busyness’.
She quickly generated simple text, summarizing her exchange with Lǐ in detail and sent it to her boss.
Afterwards, Lyu sat thinking for a while, then turned to look at Molly, who was grinning foolishly beside her.
“Number one, machines don’t deceive machines; can I modify you a bit?”

Molly tilted her head in an innocent expression.

In the hovering car, Yang Ming glanced at his watch, his expression unchanged, his eye corners twitching lightly.
