The atmosphere inside the flagship was extrely oppressive, everyone's ntal state was highly tense, and the dispatch officer's fingers never left the button, while the operators' breathing beca very slight.

Even Yang Ming, an outsider in the situation, couldn't help but break into a sweat.

Admiral Thomas stared intently at the fictionalized deep space battlefield, as the enemy's fleet was about to enter the range of the dreadnoughts.

He fiercely swung his palm forward.

"Dreadnoughts, open fire!"

The Empire and New Federation fleets suddenly lit up with twenty-four brilliant lights! Both sides surprisingly had twelve lights flashing simultaneously!

One had claid to have only eight dreadnoughts before the battle, while the other claid to possess twelve dreadnought-level gunships.

Yet, when the battle began in earnest, the number of dreadnoughts was equal!

Both sides had their shield ships and rear vessels defeated, but the Empire obviously suffered fewer losses!

Admiral Thomas slightly raised his chin, his eyes shining with confidence.

"Secondary shield ships advance to fill gaps, main battleships fire at will, focus on attacking the firepower supply ships near the enemy dreadnoughts! Drone groups harass, and electromagnetic interference targets the marked old dreadnoughts!"

"Yes!"

Seeing various data floating on Admiral Thomas's command interface, Yang Ming's shoulders suddenly relaxed.

In the first round of barrage, the Empire clearly had the upper hand.

The New Federation looks like it's about to perform another strategic withdrawal to protect key forces, abandoning lesser ones in a hurried retreat.

Boss Yang thought to himself, crossing his legs calmly.

...

"Has the battle started?"

"Yes, Your Majesty Edwan."

In the Wind Palace, inside Edwan's office.

Edwan and his ministers quietly stood in front of a large projection screen, which showed the fringes of the great battle between the Empire and the New Federation, with the video source coming from a paid interstellar news channel.

For the sake of money, so people are always willing to risk everything.

However, they could only see the battle groups on the fringes bombard each other.

Twelve dreadnoughts roared simultaneously, deeply shocking Edwan and the others.

This is the Empire.

Silently hid a few dreadnoughts.

After the Empire's last expedition, the New Federation had been preparing for so long, activating almost all of its stored resources, trying to prove itself and restore its reputation as the second in the galaxy, only to receive a direct blow from the Empire.

The mighty Sherman.

The suffocating Sherman.

"Your Majesty!" said Gudun Mah, "it seems the Empire is going to win again."

"Oh? How do you see that, General?"

Edwan slightly frowned, not wanting to hear that the Empire was going to win. The best news he hoped for was a stalemate, with the expansion of the range of the warfare quagmire.

Gudun Mah spoke slowly: "Obviously, the Empire's preparation is more thorough. Although the New Federation holds an advantage in military intelligence and made corresponding tactical adjustnts against the Empire's force distribution, trying to maintain overall balance and establish local superiority, as soon as their tactical intent beca apparent, the seasoned generals of the Empire sensed the danger and imdiately responded..."

Gudun Mah eloquently explained, and the ministers continuously nodded while listening.

Yet, the core cabinet ministers who clearly knew the current strategic developnt intent of Wind had sowhat grim expressions at the mont.

If the Empire easily defeats the New Federation again, the Wind Alliance might be in danger.

Edwan chuckled, "If the Empire can win, then that's undoubtedly the best outco."

Edwan rubbed his eyes, raised his hand to yawn, leaned back in his chair, and soon the sound of snoring could be heard.

...

Sherman Empire, Emperor Star.

Director Eno sat by the bathtub, watching the Emperor with a smile, who was lying on the microgravity sofa, enjoying the gentle massages from the maids.

"My dear uncle, what is the aning of this?"

The Old Emperor frowned:

"Let my daughter Daphne go to Hanton and curry favor? And not announce it publicly?"

"This is too dismissive of my Daphne!"

"My respected Majesty," Director Eno spoke gently, "In the next few years, maybe up to a decade, we can be a little lenient with Hanton, there's no need to fuss over everything. Once the timing is right, Hanton will naturally kneel before you, pledging allegiance."

"Are you referring to the Pioneer plan?"

The Old Emperor chuckled:

"You didn't let

interfere, but I already know so of it.

"The Faya people are controlling everything in the Milky Way, right? We are just lab mice in the Large Star System, developing civilization and exploring possibilities to fill the Faya's own shortcomings."

"Your Majesty has known long before?" Director Eno laughed, "I always thought Your Majesty never cared about these things."

The Old Emperor pursed his mouth slightly, closed his eyes, and slowly exhaled: "Sotis, sitting in this position for a long ti, you can't help but learn about these things, although I also know, you don't like letting the Emperor intervene."

Director Eno said softly, "You are the actual controller of the Empire, and you have access to all the Empire's secrets."

"Having access is one thing, but being a qualified emperor is another," the Old Emperor chuckled, "My father is still alive, correct? His body may have failed, but his brain can remain active."

Director Eno chuckled, "Every emperor remains at that table for about two hundred years, which is a privilege none of us have."

"It can only continue for two hundred years after the body dies, and then, consciousness will beco chaotic, and self-awareness will collapse."

The Old Emperor slightly pursed his lips:

"If I reach that stage, I might not enjoy such privilege."
