Chapter 728: 304 The Death of the Great Elder【Super-sized Extra!】

Imperial Palace, in front of the palace gate.

“Great Elder, the special operations team has intercepted the White Ghost. The twelve of them are our finest and strongest warriors. The White Ghost should be severely injured and will definitely resolve this trouble.”

“Indeed, go back and kneel,” the Great Elder said sternly.

The elder who had co to report imdiately nodded and retreated several tens of ters away, kneeling in the original position.

Up ahead, Gate Six of the palace remained closed, and thousands of Imperial Palace guards stood in twelve columns, their laser guns with the safety on.

In front of these kneeling elders, a group of Supermodified people stood quietly, with most having activated their Stress Defense Shields.

Although the Imperial Palace guards were nurous and elite, they were still just ordinary people.

Should a war break out, this place would turn into a massacre of the few against the many.

Of course, one-third of the Supermodified people now stood beside the ‘kneeling troops,’ waiting for orders from the Supermodified Organization, with most wearing expressions of doubt.

They would not unconditionally follow the commands of the Elder Court.

The reason they were also brought here was actually the Great Elder indicating that he had no intention of using force against the palace.

This was not a ssage to the Emperor, but to the group of elders behind him.

The formidable defense fleets outside Emperor Star had completed their assembly.

The Emperor held military power.

Even if they montarily gained a tactical advantage, they had no possibility of using force against the palace.

For political affairs, political thods should be used.

Another three minutes were about to pass.

With a hoarse voice, the Elder Court continued to shout, “All mbers of the Elder Court stationed on Emperor Star, we beg His Majesty to punish us!”

The group of old nobles, living in luxury on ordinary days, shouted together, “We beg His Majesty to punish us!”

In the nearby formation, Catherine crossed her arms, a cold smirk passing beneath her Golden Mask.

A bunch of hypocritical old fools.

Boom!

Suddenly, an explosion sounded from afar.

A section of a building over ten stories high was crashing down.

The Supermodified people looked up. So with enhanced vision saw the figures darting around the structure and two or three people flying upwards against gravity—equipped with antigravity propellers.

Catherine, speaking to a button near her collar, asked, “What’s happening over there?”

“The information’s been blocked; there is electromagnetic interference in that area, apparently from an external satellite.”

“Captain, I’m closer here… Soone’s sniping at the White Ghost, but… your boyfriend’s pretty fierce.”

“Holy shit! The White Ghost just blasted a top-grade defense shield with a punch!? Is this guy even human? He’s barehandedly overpowering a group of transford people!”

“Captain, does your boyfriend need another boyfriend?”

Catherine:…

“Keep the intersection secure, don’t act beyond the orders, a public security team will support you, you needn’t interfere more.”

Then, she looked anxiously toward the horizon.

The smoke billowing from the building continued to swirl, and sections of the exploded hover-roads were crashing down.

The battle was intensifying.

Imperial Palace module, the Emperor’s Great Hall.

Dressed in a simple ancient robe, the Emperor was seated on his self-suspended throne, his eyelids half-closed, breathing evenly, seemingly ignoring the figures standing and kneeling below.

Guards had surrounded the entire great hall.

Three top military leaders stood quietly in a corner, watching the Great Nobles in front of them.

From the ti they could et the Emperor within the military, to now, such a grand show had never occurred.

The system of the Empire was outdated, but its core power was incredibly stable.

Where did this major shake start?

It seed, once again, to be the arrival of the White Ghost on Emperor Star.

Indeed, a true scourge.

The Emperor suddenly spoke, “Don’t you want to say sothing?”

The princes, princesses below all bowed their heads, not even daring to breathe heavily.

The Emperor laughed, “Look at you, either my siblings or my children, all bearing the na Sherman, and now not a word said, just kneeling and standing here. If an outsider saw this, they’d think you were forcing

to abdicate.”

An aged Prince shouted, “We beg His Majesty to punish us!”

“Punish?” the Emperor said indifferently, “You are my uncle, what cris have you committed?”

The old Prince sighed and just stared at the ground, not responding.

“What,” said the Emperor, “you must give

statutes of what you want to do today. Although I’m the Emperor of the Empire, head of the Sherman family, I can’t be left to guess your intentions. Luna, my daughter, speak.”

Princess Luna, positioned almost at the back, raised her eyes to her father the Emperor, then quickly bowed her head again.

“Father, please punish your daughter!”

The Emperor’s nostrils trembled slightly, “Then say, what punishnt do you seek!”

Princess Luna’s body shook slightly, “Daughter… daughter shares their guilt!”

The Emperor closed his eyes and turned his head, a cold smile appearing on his lips, “I see, today you’ve just co to bolster the elders outside the palace gate, wanting

to see, just how much force you’ve rallied!”

“Your Majesty! We are utterly loyal to the Empire, loyal to you!”

“Father, please reconsider!”

“With Prince Vinoss dead in what went before, Earl Ent tragically lost thereafter, and now with the people of Emperor Star in disarray, we should be all the more dedicated to capturing the internal saboteurs and foreign disruptors. This is not the ti to push the Elder Court to a dead end, Your Majesty!”
