Chapter 70: 043 Don’t panic, it’s within the plan

Nobody knew how Kolev had tossed and turned these three days.
Previously, he had vaguely seen
that transparent spaceship, that transparent spaceship with particle transmission, that Feinan ship he had poured his heart into creating over five or six years!
It easily broke through the Cas Federation’s garbage planetary defense system.
Kolev desperately wanted to get on it and see what strange technology this spaceship, “blessed” by a high civilization, truly had.
...
“It’s simply the best pirate ship in my dreams.”
Kolev kept muttering to himself.
But three days later, in the manor’s reception hall, Kolev looked at Yang Ming, who entered through the front door, wearing a well-fitted suit, and the two tallic ship tickets Yang Ming handed to him…
“Aren’t we taking your ship?” Kolev blinked.
Yang Ming laughed, “This isn’t a secret mission, we need our trajectory to be traceable. Moreover, from now on, I’m your nephew, Uncle Haton.”
“Oh, this!”
Kolev clutched the tal plaque, shouting in anger and embarrassnt, “Let
go see!”
“See what?” Yang Ming asked knowingly.
“Your ship!”
Kolev’s eyes shone with a fiery light, “Let
broaden my horizons. I’m not going to steal it from you.”
“So that’s it,” Yang Ming said with a smile, looking at Kolev, “Don’t worry, Uncle Haton, when we get there, we’ll have plenty of ti. Now we have to head to the space port; I’ve ordered an automated taxi to pick us up in an hour.”
“Oh!”
Kolev gritted his teeth, “Can’t we just transmit directly? What’s difficult about that?”
“It actually is difficult.”
Yang Ming quietly explained,
“Only I can complete the particle transmission, and that machine can only bind to one person. There’s nothing much different inside the spaceship, just an added transmitter, a mainfra housing Lyu’s photon brain, and a few devices to enhance stealth; everything else is still the sa.”
“Alright,” Kolev shrugged, “I’m not that eager anyway.”
“They… they don’t want to directly disrupt the Milky Way’s balance,” Yang Ming explained, “The benefits they gave
are actually very limited; the real benefits co later, once I can officially inherit this legacy.”
Kolev perked up, examining the tal ticket in his hand.
“Let’s see where you want to go, my dear nephew. Huh, Luofeng Empire? What kind of place is that.”
“A vassal state of the Sherman Empire, in the first spiral arm of the Milky Way, with eleven administrative stars and one hundred and two resource stars, six of which are highly impoverished. The political environnt is highly complex, currently with the possibility of a rebellion; it is the battleground between the New Federation and the Sherman Empire.”
Yang Ming introduced as if reciting a familiar lesson,
“I’ve already prepared a strategy on the way here; from here we have to transfer twice.”
“Do you want a piece of an administrative star?” Kolev pondered seriously.
“Yes, and we might not necessarily need an administrative star; a resource star barely habitable would do, giving us more options.”
Yang Ming answered lightly, walking to the floor-length mirror to assess himself in the reflection.
A well-fitting suit, neatly trimd short hair, a clean-shaven pleasant face, and toned muscles temporarily subdued by the suit, filling it out nicely.
“Do I look like a second-generation rich kid?” Yang Ming asked.
“Not really,” Kolev sulked as he set his robotic butler, “Your eyes are too fierce, Yang Ming; there’s no sign of physical indulgence in your deanor, which would instinctively make other young n feel enmity towards you. You need to restrain that sharpness.”
Yang Ming frowned slightly, constantly pondering this critical problem.
Kolev asked, “Need to buy new dication?”
“I’ve prepared a two-year supply myself,” Yang Ming said, “With that transmitter, it’s very convenient for
to visit the black market.”
Kolev thought for a few minutes, “We need a perfect identity cover; there’s an impending uprising there, and smart investors wouldn’t go there for investnts.”
“The Luofeng Empire should be wealthy,” Yang Ming explained, “Its Head Star yields a special type of complex mineral that can produce the core components for coating machines and protective shields. rchants flock endlessly there for this complex mineral. It’s been exploited by the Sherman Empire for years and recently beca a dumping ground for New Federation products; their royal family is corrupt and incompetent.”
“Oh! Yes!”
Kolev suddenly realized sothing, “Rhodium-6 rings used for diverter pipes!”
Yang Ming laughed, “rchants have always tried to get a share of the pie, and so will we. But I suggest, Uncle Haton, that you invest in building a downstream supporting factory.”
“Yes, we don’t have enough capital to shake the existing rhodium-6 ring market.”
Kolev pondered carefully.
He suddenly realized, glaring at Yang Ming, “No, why should I invest? I work for you, and you still need to pay
a salary!”
“It’s an investnt suggestion,” Yang Ming shrugged, “I’m limited on budget here; if you don’t want to invest, I’ll hand that million back to you soon.”
Kolev imdiately bead with joy.
Yang Ming laughed, “And then borrow three million New Federation Coins from you to invest in building the plant.”
“No way! Don’t even think about it!”
Kolev shouted, holding his civilized stick high, “Only I rob others; no one has ever robbed ! No one!”
Then,
half an hour later.
Ding!
Yang Ming looked at the successful transaction interface on his dial and winked his right eye at Kolev.
