Chapter 51: 036 Lone Soldier Assault!

The cluster of buildings in the uninhabited city appeared on the horizon ahead.

Yang Ming controlled the Stealth Boat to decrease its altitude, gliding forward almost brushing against the wave patterns of those dunes, and the originally deep blue coating had turned earth-yellow.

One hundred and sixty vicious pirates were now divided into two groups, searching for Kolev’s treasure in the city.

They had already found so clues.

Both groups had beco very excited.

There were about a dozen landing craft circling back and forth in the sky, the weapons targeting both air and ground already activated, providing cover for the infantry raid below.

...

A few assault vehicles road through the city’s wasteland, and Kimo, the primary target Yang Ming was seeking, was in one of those vehicles.

“I’m launching the drones.”

Kolev murmured softly as he lightly tapped on the screen in front of him, and several fist-sized spheres appeared from the back of the Stealth Boat, swiftly circling forward towards the city.

The Stealth Boat slowed and approached the edge of the city, hiding in the shadow of a large building.

Yang Ming unzipped his jacket, revealing the advanced combat suit that closely fitted his muscles beneath.

It was the one Mimili had given him.

The combat suit had several clips at the waist, which Yang Ming equipped with two Light Swords, ergency capsules, a backup ergency nanospace suit, two high-capacity energy cartridges for his laser guns, and the laser pistol generously donated by the late bald warden of Cole Port Prison.

He put on a thick helt that could protect his brain, slung a tactical backpack with throwing weapons, and finally picked up the laser gun at his side.

Kolev pressed a few buttons, and a bat-shaped hoverboard popped out below the Stealth Boat as the scissor doors beside Yang Ming slowly raised.

Yang Ming looked at Kolev.

Kolev imdiately realized that the young warrior seed nervous, given that he was facing more than one hundred and fifty ruthless scoundrels.

He needed to encourage Hanton.

“Han…”

Yang Ming’s eyes shone as he asked, “Cool, isn’t it? This setup of mine.”

Kolev, about to speak, almost choked on his breath.

Yang Ming asked with a smile, “Is there anyone who needs to be kept alive? I won’t hold back.”

Kolev hesitated but shook his head.

“If I fall into Kimo’s hands, no one here will plead for .”

“You’re right, Hanton. My subordinates are now my enemies, and to enemies, there is only subjugation and destruction.”

“Be safe, young captain.”

Yang Ming snapped down his goggles, leapt out of the aircraft, and firmly stood atop the hoverboard, crouching down, his legs exerting force, as the sensitively responsive hoverboard accelerated with a faint noise, swiftly sliding into the ruins of the city.

Kolev stared at Yang Ming’s departing figure, murmuring to himself.

“I should probably let Mimili visually appreciate Hanton’s worth.”

Glancing at the drone control interface’s recording option, Kolev hesitated for a while, yet did not activate the recording function.

When he looked up again, he could no longer see Yang Ming’s figure.

“Keep updating , Kolev.”

Yang Ming’s voice rang in the headset, as Kolev thodically maneuvered the drones, quickly sorting out the overall information and streaming it to Yang Ming’s goggles.

These pirates were, after all, well-trained.

Their advance and retreat through the city ruins could be considered asured, the coordination between the small squads was quite decent, continually occupying high ground points while searching the whole city.

“They have a few Life Detectors, Hanton,” Kolev warned, “You can easily expose yourself if you stay at one location too long.”

Yang Ming acknowledged briefly, pondered slightly, and controlled the hoverboard to drift into a midline position between two groups of pirates, occupying advantageous terrain at the edge.

Directly encircling himself with enemies was a very unwise act.

He had other ideas.

Yang Ming drew a second tactical headset from the side pocket of his backpack, hanging it on his left ear, and whispered softly, “Kolev, let

hear what the other side is saying.”

“That’s easy… which side to connect?”

“Left ear Kimo, right ear Guka.”

Kolev paused for three seconds, quickly providing feedback to Yang Ming.

Wouldn’t this be confusing?

Yang Ming soon heard the communications from both sides, Guka’s side was relatively quiet, only simple and efficient search responses;

Kimo’s side was more complex, with more than a dozen people continually speaking, interspersed with the occasional curse.

“Boss, we’ve indeed found our gang’s mark, and these marks look at least a few years old, pointing towards the direction Guka’s in. They got a head start.”

“Damn! This is Guka’s loyalty to ! Just wait, he will pay the price!”

“Boss! Squad two is about to et them!”

“Let them hold off a bit, give Guka a chance,” Kimo said coldly, “Now, the choice is his, the initiative is mine. If they provoke , I will slaughter them. I promise!”

A few of Kimo’s captains imdiately started sucking up.

Ah, the sycophancy of pirates.

Yang Ming listened intently for a while, his eyes continuously catching the information reflected in his goggles, a mature plan already forming in his mind.

As Kimo’s side chatted happily, he raised his hand to knock on his left earpiece, using a slightly coarse voice with an urgency in his tone, “Damn it! They’re insulting ! I saw their lip movents!”

He imdiately turned off the microphone.

No one responded to him.

Yang Ming raised an eyebrow, tapped his right earpiece, and whispered softly, “Position twelve, they want to encircle us.”
