Chapter 378: 177 Bitter Wine Down the Throat Tons Tons Tons_2

Yang Ming nodded, sinking into his chair deep in thought.

“Find an opportunity to remind Edwan that the royal family can save this part of the funds to support the economic construction of the Fifth Administrative Star.”

“Okay,” General Fremont breathed a sigh of relief.

Gudun Mah then said, “Lord Yang Ming, there’s sothing I might need to remind you of.”

“Speak.”

“His Majesty Edwan currently trusts you greatly, but this trust is destined to change over ti,” Gudun Mah said in a deep voice.

“No emperor will allow the existence of a powerful minister.”

General Fremont frowned and looked at Gudun Mah, but the latter just bowed his head in silence.

Just a ground general, Gudun Mah didn’t care in the slightest.

Dabitch followed suit, “You really should consider this issue.”

Yang Ming slowly nodded and smiled, “Alright, there’s no need to discuss this matter further. We control all the military power, and the fate of Wind is for us to decide.”

He pondered carefully and added a few more sentences.

“Edwan is my close friend and the emperor of this country, the face against the Sherman Empire.

“He has a dream, and I am helping him achieve this dream.

“I don’t like politics, and he doesn’t like military affairs, so we can complent and assist each other. As for the royal power not tolerating powerful ministers… can you guess what Edwan’s dream is?”

Fremont said, “Reforming the imperial system.”

“Keep that confidential, it’s enough that you know it in your hearts.”

Yang Ming simply summarized,

“In short, regardless of how Wind’s future politics evolve, as long as it is based on people’s livelihood, benefiting the populace, maintaining sustainable developnt, and overall within a controllable range, then there’s no need to intervene. Control the fleet well, and politics will always be up to us to decide.”

“Yes!”

Inside the supply ship Dark Star One.

“Cheers!”

Amidst the clinking sounds, the official crew mbers and temporary mbers of the Feinan raised their glasses together.

026 drank two glasses of the sweet wine favored by the Sherman nobility, and her little cheeks turned rosy.

Clearly, her liver’s tabolic capacity was slightly insufficient.

Lyu attended the party using a chanical guard with a bow on its forehead as her ‘body.’ The glass didn’t contain sweet wine but rather high-grade machine oil and lubricant.

Hera’s mood obviously recovered a bit.

With the shielding device prepared by Lyu, Hera was temporarily isolated from the Insect Race and could move freely.

She had just arrived from Base Two to attend the small celebratory event organized by Yang Ming.

There were only four ‘people’ attending this celebration—Subordinate Ancient God Life Form, high-dinsional civilization’s chanical Thought Body, a biologist mistaken by the Insect Race as a new queen, semi-chanical Transford Body.

Now, Hera knew nearly all of Yang Ming’s secrets, so it was naturally impossible for her to leave Yang Ming’s sight for a second.

After careful consideration, Hera still decided to express her thoughts.

“Ming, may I move into your Base Two?” Hera asked softly.

Yang Ming, who was tasting the wine, froze for a mont and wondered aloud, “It’s dark and gloomy there; what do you want to do there? You’d be better off looking at stars and the moon on the spaceship.”

“Sense of security,” Hera said softly, “Seeing what you’ve done at Base Two makes the psychological burden of conducting insect experints a bit lighter.”

Yang Ming slightly twitched his mouth and quickly emphasized, “I am not conducting an Intelligent chanical Crisis here. These are chanical Thought Bodies, each with a one-click headshot device.”

Hera shrugged:

“Let

move my laboratory to Base Two. You can co and visit

anyti you want.

“We remain excellent partners beyond emotional exchanges, and I want to conduct so experints to counter the Insect Swarm, transforming previous experintal results into military and civilian equipnt.

“I’ve been thinking carefully for a few days and have co out of the previous ntal valley.

“We are all human, as long as we believe we are human.”

Yang Ming was slightly at a loss for words, frowning as he looked at Hera.

Hera calmly t Yang Ming’s gaze, her eyes still clear, with a sense of determination beneath the clarity.

Yang Ming frowned and said, “If that’s the case, we will have very little ti together. Going to Base Two can’t happen too frequently.”

“You should understand what I an,” Hera said, “We should reduce the frequency of our dates, or rather, we should stop dating, Ming.”

“Am I being dumped?”

“You could interpret it that way, but we haven’t lost each other. You are the only partner I can accept.”

Hera took the initiative to grasp Yang Ming’s hand earnestly and said,

“Both of us have ideals we are fighting for. We might not need to be entangled like ordinary couples in every mont, as we don’t have that ti.

“Besides… because of our dating, the insect disaster occurred, sothing I don’t want to experience a second ti.

“I long for you, but I must restrain myself.

“When you miss , I’ll comfort you with my greatest tenderness, helping cleanse your fatigue from the interstellar journey.

“Is that alright?

“I want to set up my lab at Base Two. I will simultaneously conduct life explorations on the Insect Race and Ancient God Life Forms. You can also assign

so projects, but I’ll prioritize what interests , and you must provide

with sufficient funding.”

After speaking, Hera looked at Yang Ming a bit nervously.

Yang Ming sighed with resignation, nodded in agreent, and then held Hera tightly.

He liked this woman.

Liked her wisdom and rationality, liked her clumsiness and boldness.

These past two years had been his happiest days… well, the days with Miss Windsor were equally joyful, just with too little ti spent together with the forr…

The two began to kiss.

Under the influence of alcohol, the kiss beca increasingly intense.
