Chapter 18: 012 Information Integration_2

Yang Ming didn't say much more, these kinds of statents are best left brief.

And the guards surrounding him now looked at him with a hint of fear.

Gulipa's gaze flickered indecisively, then he calmly said, "Take him to Confinent Room No. 3 for seventy-two hours, and make sure... provided als and fresh water are normal."

Yang Ming squinted and smiled.

The reputation of the mightiest Empire in the Galaxy really ca in handy.

...

The confinent room was a cramped six-square-ter space, but the conditions weren't as bad as Yang Ming had expected.

The toughest part here was actually the seventy-two hours of hunger, but since Warden Gulipa had taken care of him, it made things much more bearable for Yang Ming.

Transford people needed more nutrition.

The six tal walls emitted a milky white glow, and apart from the tal walls, there were no other objects.

Yang Ming made a simple seat cushion with his military trousers and coat, wearing just a tank top and boxer shorts, and opened a travel book about the customs and people of Cole Port.

Soon, he found several local maps of Cole Port and imprinted the information in his mind.

Yang Ming didn't know whether Hanton had always been so smart or if the Valkyrie Genetic Fluid was also enhancing his brain, but he seed to possess a photographic mory.

That was great, at least it wasn't a bad thing.

A few hours later.

After a simple lunch, Yang Ming used the books he had finished reading to make a small pillow and lay down comfortably, starting to think about the path ahead.

On the research ship, he had no chance to think about these things.

Yang Ming disliked grand propositions, such as saving the world or saving the Earth.

Those were not things he could accomplish alone.

However, Yang Ming felt that if he was capable, he should save his own family. His parents had worked hard most of their lives and hadn't yet had the chance to enjoy life; and his younger sister in high school, although she had a terrible character, always stealing his snacks and using his toothbrush to brush her shoes...

"Bro, how much dowry will you have to spend to marry a sister as pretty as ? Ohohoh!"

The onslaught of dead mories suddenly attacked his brain, making Yang Ming not feel very well.

Whether to save her or not, that could be discussed later.

Yang Ming simplified all the problems and finally posed three questions to himself:

1. Why had he co to this world, and who had brought him here?

2. What was the aning of his arrival here, or what could he achieve?

3. What advantages could he obtain from the information he knew?

For the first question, based on the information currently available, Yang Ming could not make an answer.

This seed unrelated to science, leaning towards taphysics, yet it was still a scientific issue.

For the second question, Yang Ming could now answer halfway.

If thirty Galaxy Years later, Earth players collectively appeared, regardless of how they appeared, he must find a way to inform them that "Abyss" was not just a ga, that humans were a common species in the Milky Way.

It was very likely a test given to Earth's civilization by a higher civilization. If the test was failed, the final result would be Earth's destruction by the Natural Disaster Army.

Although there were still too many mysteries;

But based on the current information and combining his own experiences, Yang Ming had no choice but to associate the plot of "Abyss" running for five years and the 'Ninth Natural Disaster' with the destruction of Earth.

Yes, Yang Ming felt the first thing he could do was survive for thirty Galaxy Years, to give his civilization a warning.

[Mink Port].

The na suddenly popped into his mind.

Seen from the perspective of the players, humans from Earth entered into an interstellar civilization under the guidance of an alien civilization through cut-scenes in technology and filling the tech tree in character dialogues.

Mink Port was the first stop for players stepping off Earth after thirty years.

Players would choose their factions at Mink Port, determine their own developntal paths, obtain spaceship driving licenses, professional equipnt operation certificates, and so on.

Yang Ming thought that if he could find Mink Port, he might be able to discover Earth ahead of ti.

"Ding-dong," Yang Ming muttered to himself in his heart, "Unlock main mission one: Find Mink Port."

This damn sense of ceremony.

The third question was much more complicated.

Yang Ming carefully recalled those gaming events that had impressed him, as well as the rich historical background of "Abyss."

To be honest, he had rarely paid attention to the ga's plots while playing, which only left him with vague impressions of many significant events.

Moreover, it was now thirty Galaxy Years before the ga's server had launched.

"Hmm?"

Yang Ming suddenly rembered sothing very interesting.

Intelligent chanic Dusk.

Yang Ming had watched an interview with a player who had beco a billionaire by playing the ga, two or three years ago, in the third year after the "Abyss" ga had launched.

The player had discovered a hidden planet in "Abyss," gained actual control of a city called 'Intelligent chanic Dusk,' and then made a fortune by selling the control rights to a consortium behind a large legion.

In that interview, the player had revealed many detailed details—how he drove a mining ship into a dust band by mistake, how he entered a vortex, and how he found the control key.

Even more, this chosen one had provided first-person footage, revisiting that star domain in the "Abyss" ga and replaying their exploratory journey.

Yang Ming had been incredibly envious of this player.

And now...

'Sorry, chosen one.'

Yang Ming guiltily smiled, then shalessly forgave himself.

Oh right, there's sothing even more important.

He needed an ample amount of gene stabilizers or gene inhibiting liquids.

In "Abyss," the main reason transford soldiers had to continuously spend money was for buying gene stabilizers or gene inhibiting liquids, or else they would lose their combat capabilities and even grow excessive body hair and have swollen muscles...

Those were just the ga's penalty chanism; the consequences of players' gene deregulation were negligible.

Now, if Yang Ming did not take gene-stabilizing drugs for an extended period, he might end up like Ke from "Lost Voice"—losing his sanity, turning into a at tumor monster, becoming another Ancient God Life Form.

At this point, Yang Ming made a simple summary.

The most urgent task at hand was to find a stable channel for gene-stabilizing drugs, and he must secure new stabilizing liquid before the gene stabilizing liquid inside his body expired.

The subsequent phased goals—finding Mink Port and Intelligent chanic Dusk.

To achieve these two goals, the item Yang Ming needed the most right now was...

A spacecraft capable of warp travel. Note: Preferably with autopilot.

This was not an easy task.

...

Three days flashed by.

Yang Ming ate and slept, slept and ate, feeling like he had also gained quite a bit of weight.

Several fully ard guards brought Yang Ming to a clean four-person cell, where one fat man and one old man lived, both of whom appeared to be of amiable dispositions.

Yang Ming quickly introduced himself, shook hands with the two, and then closed his eyes to feign sleep on the simple mattress-covered hardboard bed.

Both roommates were very tactful and tense.

Naturally, they had heard about the 'passionate' story that had unfolded between this new arrivals from the Sherman Empire military and six burly n, and so, they moved their beds to the corners, maintaining a safe distance from Yang Ming, giving him ample space.

Yang Ming had initially wanted to ask them for basic information about the prison and tips on breaking out, but it seed that they would need so ti to get comfortable with each other.

Yang Ming, intrigued, began reading so books on the simple shelf in the corner.

The text was in Galaxy Universal Language, quite similar to the Sherman Empire's language, which made it sowhat challenging for Yang Ming to read at first.

Thud, thud, thud.

The continuous sound of soft-soled shoes hitting the tal floor broke Yang Ming's concentration.

"0639, Hanton."

Close to lunchti, the warden Gulipa appeared at the cell door holding a square glass pane and said in an elegant tone,

"Room number twelve, your supervisor is waiting for you."
