Seeing the investigation results sent by Yevgenia, Yan Luo exhaled a heavy sigh.

No wonder Fuer didn’t provide any clues when he commissioned the investigation—it turned out the clues and evidence were blatantly in front of him. With a bit of attention, he could easily uncover the truth.

Yan Luo opened Lykan’s wardrobe, glanced at the neatly folded clothes inside, and shook his head with a sigh, then closed the door.

"Lykan Hongfeng, you’ve been exposed." Yan Luo turned back and calmly addressed Lykan.

Lykan was taken aback, "Exposed for what?"

Yan Luo sent a ssage to Yevgenia while narrating his investigation process and conclusion.

"Do you rember the magic you perford when you brought to your research lab? Back then, you used just one spell to tidy up the scattered clothes and papers in the hall, indicating that tidying things up wasn’t troubleso for you, you could do it effortlessly. The environnt on the second floor reflects this; the clothes in the wardrobe are clean and neat, stacked exactly the sa way as those on the first floor. This ans whenever you’re on the second floor, you use magic to stack clothes neatly, instead of tossing them around.

"According to psychological research, a person’s habits are hard to change; it should be similar for elves. You exhibit chaos and disorder on the first floor but cleanliness on the second floor; isn’t that odd? Do you usually spend more ti on the first floor or the second? Why would you place your clothes around so freely where you spend more ti, yet keep less frequented areas tidy? Doesn’t it bother you?"

At this point, Yan Luo paused, observing Lykan’s eyes, inducing a bit of unease, then continued: "So, I boldly speculate you might have a dual personality—at least two personas. The you on the first and second floors are completely different; just one persona retains full mory, while the other only partial. Recently, the persona with partial mory finally realized what the main persona is doing, so it reported its own activities to Saint Fuer.

"Saint Fuer was bewildered by what happened to you, thus he commissioned to investigate. As I am unfamiliar with you, no matter what actions you take, they won’t evoke a sense of familiarity and lead to subconsciously overlook so clues. From that point on, the secondary persona ceased to appear, with the main persona controlling the body.

"The secondary persona is your disguise... Forget it, I can’t make this up anymore."

Lykan frowned deeply, initially intending to defend himself but was stunned when Yan Luo uttered these words, his eyes widened.

Ever since arriving at the academy, Yan Luo had been speaking his mind openly, so Lykan would instinctively assu his words were true.

Was what Yan Luo said all made up?

"You," Yan Luo suddenly pointed at Lykan, "are not Lykan Hongfeng!"

Lykan paused, puzzled, "If I am not Lykan, then who am I?"

Yan Luo tapped his lenses, "This device can remotely connect with soone else wearing the terminal. Not long ago, I contacted Ms. Yevgenia and asked her to find an elf adept at performing magic on ’souls’, to curse ’Lykan Hongfeng’. But you didn’t react at all."

Upon realizing ’Lykan’ wasn’t Lykan Hongfeng, Yan Luo had asked Yevgenia to find an elf capable of soul-targeting magic to curse Lykan.

Most of Yan Luo’s speech had been his deduction, with only a small portion fabricated.

Yan Luo spoke openly because he enjoyed doing so, but it didn’t an he couldn’t lie.

To buy ti and observe Lykan’s reactions, Yan Luo was willing to tell so lies.

If the elf couldn’t curse a soul, Yan Luo had other thods to verify ’Lykan’s’ identity, but why opt for the complicated route when there was a simpler way?

Now, facts proved Yan Luo’s speculation correct; this ’Lykan’ before him wasn’t Lykan Hongfeng, but sothing else.

The recent alchemical explosion wasn’t accidental; it looked more like Lykan Hongfeng reported himself to Fuer, and the current ’Lykan’ intentionally caused the explosion to destroy evidence.

Listening to Yan Luo, ’Lykan’ fell silent.

Shortly after, he laughed.

"Hahaha! You guessed it, so what?"

’Lykan’ dropped his disguise and provocatively raised his eyebrows at Yan Luo, grinning fiercely, "This body is still Lykan Hongfeng’s. His soul resides in this body too. If you kill , he dies too. As for extracting my soul from this body... huh, that’s impossible because elves lack such technology!"

After finishing, ’Lykan’ watched Yan Luo’s expression, but found that Yan Luo’s face remained unchanged.

Yan Luo suddenly grabbed ’Lykan’s’ head, gaze crossing his fingers and eting his eyes, calmly stating: "Why did Saint Fuer commission , a human, to investigate this matter? The reason is simple: other elves would fear for Lykan Hongfeng’s life, worried about unintentionally killing him along with you, but I won’t.

"I’m giving you a chance, leave this body yourself, I won’t kill you. Otherwise, I will kill both you and Lykan Hongfeng."

’Lykan’ sneeringly laughed, "You wouldn’t dare..."

Bang!

Yan Luo decisively crushed ’Lykan’s’ skull.

Shaking his hand, he flicked off the brain matter and blood sticking to it, Yan Luo sent Yevgenia a ssage: [Sorry, I killed your ex-husband.]

The ssage included a video Yan Luo had just recorded through his lenses.

Yevgenia remained silent for a long ti after receiving the ssage.

Although Lykan Hongfeng was her ex-husband, their relationship wasn’t estranged or hateful, and they could even interact as friends.

Upon learning of Lykan’s death, Yevgenia felt an emptiness inside, as if sothing had suddenly gone missing.

Fortunately, Yevgenia was ntally prepared.

She found evidence that the parasite incident might be connected to Lykan, even though it wasn’t Lykan himself but sothing controlling his body. However, as the entity controlling Lykan’s body said, elves couldn’t extract another soul from Lykan’s body.

The simplest way to deal with the entity controlling Lykan’s body was to kill Lykan along with it...

This was sothing other elves couldn’t do, but Yan Luo could.

He wouldn’t hesitate just because Lykan Hongfeng was Saint Fuer’s only descendant.

Looking at the text projected onto her retina, Yevgenia felt weakened, without any thoughts surfacing in her mind.

After an unknown duration, Yevgenia took a deep breath to reply to Yan Luo’s ssage when suddenly a loud explosion roared outside the window.

"What?" Yevgenia and the elf she had found to curse Lykan’s soul were alard, rising to check the window.

They hadn’t seen where the explosion originated, only heard the loud bang.

Why would there be an explosion in the academy?

Is it related to Yan Luo? Did Yan Luo battle the entity controlling Lykan’s body?

As this thought flashed through Yevgenia’s mind, she inputted a ssage to Yan Luo with her thoughts.

Soon, she received Yan Luo’s response: [Not ; it’s sothing else.]

At that mont, Yevgenia suddenly recalled encountering potential suspects involved in the parasite incident when visiting several impacted cities alongside Lykan.

Could they have sensed ’Lykan’s’ death and triggered the explosion?

As Yevgenia pondered, another loud boom erupted, much closer to where she was, allowing her to witness the explosion’s flas and the soaring building debris.

Screams echoed through the streets.
