Yan Luo ate a demon whose spine he had crushed, ignoring the creature’s wails.

Today marked the fifth day since he left the Number One Fortress to explore the Forbidden Demon Abyss.

For five days, Yan Luo drove straight in one direction, hoping to find the boundary of the Forbidden Demon Abyss.

But the area of this abyss seed larger than the Crimson Abyss, and until today, he hadn’t determined where the specific boundary of the Forbidden Demon Abyss was.

He climbed mountains and crossed wastelands, but all he could see was desolation.

Surviving on demon flesh for several days without any vitamin supplents, Yan Luo felt his body was becoming unhealthy.

Exploration requires perseverance, and Yan Luo felt he could drive further for another couple of days. If he still couldn’t find the edge of the Forbidden Demon Abyss, then it would be ti to head back.

One must know, Yan Luo didn’t drive slowly. He often pushed his speed up to 300 kiloters per hour, supported by his reaction speed and physical strength.

Despite encountering demons and engaging in battles with them along the way, Yan Luo drove intermittently for five days, covering three to four thousand kiloters in a straight line, yet he still hadn’t touched the edge of the Forbidden Demon Abyss.

Whichever way you look at it, it’s quite absurd.

His motorcycle was equipped with a nuclear battery that didn’t provide high instantaneous output but could deliver power for a long ti. As long as the engine wasn’t damaged, the motorcycle could keep running.

As Yan Luo continued eating, the demon in his hand died, turning into dispersed magic power, which then coalesced into a chunk of at.

Seeing this, even Yan Luo couldn’t help but sigh.

The demons of the Forbidden Demon Abyss were stingy. So far, the materials dropped by the demons he killed only included bone plates, at chunks, and crystals.

The crystal ca from a special city-breaking level demon. Other city-breaking level demons dropped materials no different from those of lower-level demons.

At most, the quality of the at chunks and bone plates was a bit higher.

The na ’Forbidden Demon Abyss’ truly fits. If the demons here could drop magic crystals, at least it could serve as a mine reserve, but the problem is they don’t drop even magic crystals.

Frustrated, Yan Luo took a bite of the newly ford at chunk and rode his motorcycle forward.

Soon, Yan Luo ca upon severely desertified land.

The other regions of the Forbidden Demon Abyss, including the path he took, though barren, still had soil. But ahead was a sandy expanse that seed to descend constantly... Hmm?

Yan Luo stopped his bike, blinked, and stared fixedly at the sandy ground ahead.

Silently, he launched three drones—the entirety of his drone stash.

The drones ascended into the sky, transmitting video footage to Yan Luo’s goggles.

Looking at the display in his goggles, Yan Luo sighed in amazent:

"This is the ’sea’!"

The sandy terrain before him was not sand, but an ocean that had lost its water.

The sandy land ahead was actually a coastline, where the beach extended towards the depths of the ocean floor, forming the vast sandy expanse Yan Luo now saw.

This discovery greatly astonished Yan Luo because it wasn’t the border of the Forbidden Demon Abyss. Crossing this sandy terrain might reveal another land on the other side.

If that were true, just how large would this abyss be?

Could it be as large as Blue Star itself?

Setting off from Number One Fortress and reaching the waterless ’coastline’ took Yan Luo five days, but returning only took about a day and a half.

The demons encountered during the journey were all taken care of by Yan Luo, and even if there were subsequent migrations, their numbers wouldn’t be too high.

After hurriedly returning to Number One Fortress, Yan Luo uploaded data from the black box to the command center’s quantum computer, and the abyss defense line commander received the news Yan Luo brought back, rushing to et him.

Upon seeing Yan Luo, the commander imdiately asked, "You said you saw a ’coastline’?"

Yan Luo projected the footage captured by the drones.

Watching the images Yan Luo projected, the commander couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

From these images, it was clear Yan Luo had indeed reached a coastline, but there was no ocean beyond that line, only endlessly descending sand.

Though the abysses are bizarre and vast, even the relatively small Crimson Abyss is a tenth the size of the Northern Region.

The most massive blazing sun abyss is comparable to a world island.

Yet, even with so many abysses combined, none have ever featured an ’ocean’ before.

Not to ntion such a vast expanse of water, even a coastline had never appeared.

But at the Forbidden Demon Abyss, Yan Luo discovered a coastline.

If he hadn’t rushed back to report the discovery, Yan Luo might have had the chance to trace the coastline looking for the boundary of the Forbidden Demon Abyss.

Yan Luo drove a total of 4,102 kiloters from Number One Fortress to the coastline without finding the abyss’s boundary.

Identifying the boundary of this abyss might require additional ans.

The commander thought for a mont and imdiately ordered the launch of reconnaissance aircraft.

Drones cannot operate well in the abyss environnt, so the reconnaissance plane was manned.

The reconnaissance plane was rolled out of the hangar, the pilot donned gear and sat in the cockpit, taking a deep breath before giving a thumbs-up to those outside, then maneuvered the vectored nozzle to lift the aircraft into the air.

Subsequently, the nozzles turned, spouting flas aft, propelling the reconnaissance plane forward.

All Blue Star aircraft nowadays can take off and land vertically, and the reconnaissance plane is no exception.

In this era, military pilots are mostly engravers or at the very least, cyborgs with over 30% bodily augntation. Natural humans have been phased out of fighter pilot roles.

Flying over the abyss is perilous because the sky is ho to demons, with no place to hide. Coupled with the general fragility of human aircraft—colliding with a bird can lead to a crash, let alone those fearso demons.

Despite this, reconnaissance from the sky must be undertaken by soone.

Every pilot flying in the abyss earns a comndation with each flight, and if they die, they receive massive compensations, fifty tis greater than that of regular soldiers.

Their large compensations are never begrudged by ordinary soldiers, who instead admire these pilots gambling with their lives.

Every aerial reconnaissance over the abyss encounters flying demons since the abyssal sky is so limited and low it’s impossible to avoid them.

Every ti pilots take off, they are challenging the abyss.

The reconnaissance plane flies swiftly, reaching the coastline discovered by Yan Luo in an hour.

Upon reaching the coastline, it will continue flying until it finds the abyss’s boundary or flies for another two hours.

If the boundary of the Forbidden Demon Abyss isn’t found after two hours, the reconnaissance plane will return.

Now Yan Luo and others can only wait.

After days of restless sleep, Yan Luo returned to his assigned room at Number One Fortress, imdiately falling asleep.

When he awoke, ten hours had passed.

He washed his face and exited the dormitory to access the abyss defense community network, unexpectedly discovering a ssage from the commander.

The commander asked Yan Luo to go to the command center after waking up, as he had sothing to discuss.

Yan Luo complied, skipping a al at the canteen to head directly to the command center.

The Forbidden Demon Abyss experiences day and night changes; at night, the sky darkens significantly—though it’s not very bright in the day either.

Walking through the brightly lit corridors, Yan Luo reached the commander’s office at the command center, noting the ’In Work’ sign on the door before knocking.

"Co in."

Yan Luo entered the room.

Sitting behind the desk, the commander pinched his brow.

"Yan Luo, there’s bad news," the commander sighed.

Yan Luo said, "Go on."

The commander looked up at Yan Luo, saying solemnly, "This abyss might be as large as a planet!"
