The power surveillance system quickly detected anomalies at Yanluo Villa, and the electrician, who had been previously notified by Wu Zechuan, imdiately sent a ssage to him.

Upon receiving the notification, Wu Zechuan woke up abruptly, transford elentally, jumped out of the window, and headed straight for Yanluo Villa.

As soon as he arrived, he detected the silent barrier and the bounding barrier covering the villa and casually dispelled them.

Despite feeling a bit worried about Yan Luo, Wu Zechuan trusted that Yan Luo could handle the situation.

Indeed, upon crossing the battered villa gate, the first thing he saw was Old Wang, handcuffed, then he turned towards the living room to see Yan Luo sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, arms crossed, as if resting.

"Just this one?" Wu Zechuan pointed to Old Wang.

Yan Luo opened his eyes, shook his head, and said, "There are four more, all dead."

Upon hearing this, Wu Zechuan raised an eyebrow involuntarily.

Setting up a silent barrier and a bounding barrier indicated that there was at least one Sequence Three [Mage] among the enemies. The fact that Yan Luo had managed to kill them in such a short ti suggested he caught them off guard.

After a brief consideration, Wu Zechuan understood how Yan Luo accomplished it, "You used their silent barrier to your advantage?"

Yan Luo nodded, "They have likely been surveilling the place for the past few days, knowing that I was in the Gravity Room. So, I broke through the ceiling to reach the second floor, and as I descended, the [chanic] in their team wasn’t guarding the other staircase, allowing to launch a surprise attack."

The Abyssal Believers’ team, which supposedly held the informational advantage, turned out to be surprisingly incompetent... Of course, it might also be that Yan Luo executed his plan perfectly.

Yan Luo pointed at Old Wang and continued, "This man is a cowardly and timid person; if you scare him a little, he will confess everything he knows."

Hearing Yan Luo’s words, Old Wang looked up at him.

Is it okay to say such things in front of the person involved?

Wu Zechuan laughed, "Don’t worry, I don’t plan on scaring him. I will directly investigate their personal terminals, which is the proper procedure."

Saying this, Wu Zechuan glanced at Old Wang with a smirk, causing Old Wang to break into a cold sweat.

Though he was soone who killed without a second thought, he sensed that Wu Zechuan might be even more dangerous than him.

"...Don’t lock in jail!"

Suddenly, as if realizing sothing, Old Wang urgently shouted, "I’ll confess everything; please don’t lock in jail! Don’t let the police take away!"

It seed that the reach of the Abyssal Believers was even further than they had imagined.

Yan Luo and Wu Zechuan exchanged glances, understanding each other’s thoughts.

The Abyssal Believers had agents within the Crimson No. 2, but such things weren’t surprising, given that nine years ago, Zheng Guoxian, the president of the Crimson No. 2 Hunter’s Guild, was an Abyssal Believer and had conducted nurous actions during his term.

In an exploratory town, the Hunter’s Guild president wielded significant power, comparable to the heads of the governnt and the garrison. It was effortless for them to place personnel into governnt departnts.

He didn’t even have to offer any benefits; just passing along a ssage, Zheng Guoxian could place personnel within the police force.

Although Zheng Guoxian was removed, many only knew he stepped down due to work negligence, unaware that he was an Abyssal Believer.

As a result, his agents within the police were not removed and continue to serve in the Crimson No. 2, even holding considerable positions.

"Do you have a way to keep him?" Wu Zechuan asked Yan Luo.

Yan Luo, well-versed in the "Hunter’s Code," which was almost equivalent to the law for hunters, pondered briefly and nodded, "This guy is also a hunter. Although attacking in town warrants detention and awaiting interrogation according to the law, according to Article 36 of the ’Hunter’s Code,’ the Hunter’s Guild holds semi-autonomous enforcent rights over hunters, allowing it to conduct trials, provided the results are submitted to the prosecutor’s office for approval, then handed to the police for execution.

"So, we can capture and interrogate him, even make further judgnts. If we wish to delay, we can stretch it to one or two months."

Wu Zechuan smiled, "One to two months is quite sufficient."

Enough ti for them to root out all the hidden Abyssal Believers in the Crimson No. 2!

"However, doing so might alert their network, causing them to hide even deeper." Yan Luo pointed out the potential risk of Wu Zechuan’s approach.

Wu Zechuan raised an eyebrow, "Then what do you suggest?"

Yan Luo turned his gaze to Old Wang, and the coldness in his eyes made Old Wang shiver like a leaf.

He then heard Yan Luo say, "Use this guy as bait to wait for the big fish."

Old Wang trembled violently and shouted anxiously, "No! Please! I know many things, even the true identity of our superiors I might have guessed!"

If he fell into Wu Zechuan’s hands, he might still have a slim chance of survival, but if the police caught him, he would be as good as dead.

Wu Zechuan raised his brows, about to comnd Yan Luo’s cleverness, forcing this Abyssal Believer to reveal key information, when unexpectedly Yan Luo shouted:

"All Abyssal Believers must die!"

Wu Zechuan was taken aback, surprised to hear Yan Luo say, "Isn’t the information he knows critical? Don’t we need the identity of that Abyssal Believer?"

Yan Luo shook his head decisively and said, "Even if we knew his superior’s identity, what could we do? If we can lure out the Abyssal Believers hidden within the police, we would seize a trail. Zheng Guoxian beca the president of the Crimson No. 2 Hunter’s Guild not through election by the hunters like you are, his superior might be right here in Lingquan City!"

Hearing this, Wu Zechuan knew what Yan Luo intended to do.

The Abyssal Believer they’d captured would serve as bait to lure out the ’big fish’ within the police.

Zheng Guoxian was dead, but that big fish wouldn’t easily sever ties with the Abyssal Believers. If that connection had indeed been cut, then the hunter Yan Luo caught would be alright.

If the hunter survived, they could later find a way to make him talk, revealing his superior’s identity.

Though Yan Luo and Wu Zechuan spoke openly in front of Old Wang, he couldn’t co up with a plan to break the situation even though he was flustered and at his wits’ end.

The existence of ’Abyssal Believers’ was very secretive; few knew about them. For most people, the term ’Abyssal Believer’ was nothing more than a joke.

Who would beco a believer of the Abyss?

What could the Abyss offer them?

Would belief in the Abyss prevent the destruction of the world or protect them from demon attacks?

If Old Wang dared to loudly reveal Yan Luo and Wu Zechuan’s plans while being apprehended by the police, wouldn’t it alert the Abyssal Believers within the police to lay low?

No, that’s impossible because just ntioning the title of Abyssal Believers in public would an imdiate death for him.

Moreover, once captured, it’s highly unlikely that he would ever et the Abyssal Believer hidden within the police and would likely die quietly...

With this realization, Old Wang felt broken, sitting on the ground in despair, motionless.

If he ended everything now, Yan Luo and Wu Zechuan’s plans would fail, but he had fled precisely because he didn’t want to die. How could he lose hope and end his own life?

Soon, the police called by Wu Zechuan arrived at Yanluo Villa.

The four dead bodies and one suspect in the villa left the police at a loss, but thankfully, the villa’s security system confird that these individuals did indeed break into Yan Luo’s ho harboring murderous intent.

The surveillance system, with its built-in battery, continued to operate for twelve hours even without power or internet, faithfully recording Liu Chuanji and the others’ activities inside Yanluo Villa.

Of course, Keke’s actions were also recorded.

But the police did not trouble Yan Luo, considering hunters were permitted to bear arms; the ard intelligence device could be considered a weapon in so sense.

Once everything was settled, dawn had arrived.

Yan Luo decided against returning to sleep. Instead, he planned to have breakfast before reading the news and studying other Abyss-related knowledge, intending to resu his training after a nap.

However, his plans were interrupted by a ssage from Chen Shan.
