Setting aside the matter of the list and the jade, Yan Luo called Sasa over, mainly for the tal plate.

Sitting on the couch, Sasa held the tal plate closely, examining it carefully.

In the Abyss, there was no opportunity to clean one’s body. Although the exoskeleton could keep the body clean, not showering for over ten days was still uncomfortable.

Yan Luo had gone to shower, leaving Sasa alone in the living room.

Sasa rubbed the tal plate with her fingertip, contemplating the story recorded on it.

From its appearance, the tal plate seed to be a singular, molded object, shield-shaped, and it recorded a complete story.

Out of the four items left by Wen Chongwu, Yan Luo could understand the functions of the two lists and the jade, but he could never grasp the mystery of the tal plate.

Why did Wen Chongwu place this tal plate in a safe? What exactly did he want to convey with it? Why did he only leave objects and no written explanation... these were the questions Yan Luo wanted to resolve.

His mind wasn’t sharp enough; he needed Sasa’s help in thinking it through.

"Well? Have you figured anything out?"

Yan Luo erged from the bathroom in a set of loose loungewear, sat down on a single sofa, and watched Sasa as she scrutinized the tal plate.

Sasa wrinkled her nose, "Don’t interrupt!"

She had just seed to make a connection to sothing but was disrupted by Yan Luo’s words, and her inspiration vanished.

Yan Luo closed his mouth and waited quietly for the result.

Ti slowly passed, and Yan Luo sat on the sofa without moving, occasionally chatting a bit with his friends.

"Ah~! Damn it!"

After thinking for a whole hour, Sasa gave up and tossed aside the tal plate. Laying facedown on the sofa, she complained, "I can’t figure it out. I clearly know it’s a story and it seems like a myth, but I just can’t co up with the answer!"

Yan Luo stroked his chin, had a sudden idea, and retrieved a magic crystal, placing it on the tal plate.

The next second, the surface of the tal plate began to emit a faint light.

Sasa quickly sat up, staring in amazent as light and shadow intertwined to weave a beam of light.

At first, a tall tower stood atop a mountain, and the scene suddenly zood into a window at the top floor of the tower, where a large conference room lay behind a window overlooking the entire land.

The conference room was filled with people, each with a serious expression as if a significant eting was taking place.

They wore similar attire, a long robe, so with jade pendants at their waists, others with bronze masks, so wearing golden crowns, and so with laurel wreaths.

A large screen behind the podium was counting, but it was unclear what the people were voting on.

Soon, the voting result was out.

The scene shifted, and people from the tower dispersed in various directions. A man with long hair and a beard stayed behind, and with a push of his hand, the tower collapsed instantly.

Afterward, the perspective continually rose, with Yan Luo and Sasa watching as people departed from the tower, crossing mountains and seas, returning to their respective tribes.

After the collapse of the tower, the Moon orbiting Blue Star began irregular movents, alternately distancing and nearing Earth, triggering a world-ending flood disaster.

At that ti, a woman led a team, receiving colossal stones made by various civilizations worldwide, flying into outer space and landing on the Moon.

The large team used the stones to anchor the Moon, allowing it to run in a fixed orbit.

Thus, the flood subsided.

The light screen dissipated, leaving Yan Luo and Sasa deeply unsettled.

For in the recent scenes, they saw traces of many ancient civilizations, and beyond the civilized areas ran nurous strange beasts, bearing so resemblance to Blue Star after it entered the Abyss Calendar.

The mountain where the tower stood was Mount Everest!

It seed to be the legendary Tower of Babel, gathering people from around the world speaking the sa language. After the tower’s collapse, over ti, the originally unified language diversified again.

The long-haired bearded man destroying the tower seed to correspond to Gonggong’s anger crashing into Mount Buzhou, and the woman leading the team to repair the Moon corresponded to Nuwa nding the heavens.

"That’s... Blue Star’s past?"

Sasa uttered words she found incredibly absurd herself.

How could it be possible?

If Blue Star once had such a glorious civilization, why did technology have to start anew?

Yan Luo picked up the jade and looked around, suddenly remarking, "Sasa, is there a possibility that Blue Star once also encountered the Abyss, that eting was about voting on whether to isolate Blue Star from the Abyss. Nowadays, the magic power on Blue Star cos from the Abyss. If we lose the Abyss, is there a chance the magic power environnt might gradually fade away and eventually disappear completely?"

Sasa shivered violently, her thoughts racing from what Yan Luo said.

"You’re saying, mythological tales aren’t just fantasies, but historical events that once happened, and as magic power faded away, people couldn’t imagine how powerful those in the past were, so they considered them false and just fantasies?"

Yan Luo nodded, saying, "As ti passed, magic power gradually dissipated. Before the founding of Western Zhou, there was the legend of Phoenix’s Cry at Mount Qi, during the Spring and Autumn Period, there was the capture of the Kirin during a western hunt. At the end of Qin, King Xiang Yu could lift a cauldron, and Liu Bang’s uprising involved slashing the white serpent. During the Tang Dynasty, there were many strange stories too. After that, magic power was negligible, and immortals, demons, and monsters no longer appeared. In terms of ti, it seems like an evolution of public wisdom and technological developnt, but it might also explain why the old system no longer suits this world."

Sasa shifted her gaze to the tal plate, taking a deep breath, and said seriously, "The current issue is, is this tal plate an ancient relic, or sothing forged by modern people?"

Despite Yan Luo’s reasonable narrative, science demands evidence. Otherwise, no matter how fitting the reasoning is, it’s not the truth.

Yan Luo’s words could be explained as shooting the arrow first and then drawing the target, rely connecting past events with what they saw now, without any evidence to support his hypothesis.

"At least this jade is not a modern forgery."

Yan Luo raised the jade, stating, "Blue Star’s engraving technology hasn’t reached this level yet."

If the jade were man-made, then Wen Chongwu couldn’t have obtained it.

Wen Chongwu was targeted by the Abyssal Believers from the start; there’s no way he could have taken such a precious item under their watchful eyes.

Yan Luo rembered that Wen Chongwu was also a Second Rank Engraver, and since he started investigating the Abyssal Believers, he had limited opportunities to hunt in the Abyss, which ant his strength couldn’t be very high.

The enormous power of the Abyssal Believers was sothing Yan Luo had already tasted; Wen Chongwu had no chance of snatching anything from them.

Therefore, Yan Luo believed more strongly that the jade was an ancient artifact that Wen Chongwu acquired from unknown origins.

Since that’s the case, the likelihood of the tal plate also being an ancient relic greatly increased.

However, like Sasa, Yan Luo held doubts about the content of the tal plate’s projection.

If this tal plate’s projection depicted Blue Star’s past, then... who recorded it?

"...Let’s not worry about this now!"

Sasa shook her head, casting aside her chaotic thoughts, took up the two lists on the table, and handed one to Yan Luo.

"Weren’t you planning to deal with the Abyssal Believers later? Let’s first confirm the status of these Abyssal Believers."

In this modern era where the internet is developed, it’s not difficult to find so superficial personal information if one puts in the effort.

Yan Luo nodded, agreeing with the idea, and together with Sasa, they opened the lists and began searching for relevant information about the nas on them.

Sasa held the list of the Abyssal Believers, while Yan Luo held the list of those willing to help eliminate the Abyssal Believers.

"Zheng Guoxian, currently marked as ’deceased’..." Sasa browsed while informing Yan Luo of the current statuses of those people.

The first person Yan Luo checked also had the status marked as ’deceased.’

They worked quickly, soon checking the second and third person on the list.

The two people on the Abyssal Believers list were still alive, one even being a city official, whereas the first three people on Yan Luo’s list were all deceased.

Deceased, imprisoned, deceased, imprisoned, imprisoned...

Whether ’deceased’ or ’imprisoned,’ the current status of the people on Yan Luo’s list was shockingly grim!
