On the ninth day after the demon tide, Yan Luo rarely stepped out of his house and took a taxi to the Hunter’s Guild.

He felt he had rested enough; it was ti to enter the Abyss again.

According to the usual practice, there hadn’t been any new City-breaking Level Demons born in the Abyss yet, so he could hunt without fearing being pursued by such demons.

However, the Abyss had changed quite a bit, and Yan Luo couldn’t guarantee it was still the sa as before, so he needed to be extrely cautious, even if he decided to enter.

After the demon tide, Hunters had already started entering the Abyss.

At that ti, the Abyss was filled with newly born demons and so low-level ones that hadn’t participated in the demon tide, making hunting particularly easy.

Not to ntion that Crimson No. 2 hadn’t suffered much damage; even exploratory towns like Crimson No. 1 and Crimson No. 3, which had fierce battles with demons and suffered many casualties, had Hunters entering the Abyss to hunt.

Yan Luo ca to the guild to exchange information with the Hunters.

"Yo, Yan Luo, long ti no see!"

"Finally willing to co out of the house? Co on, let’s go upstairs for a drink!"

"Isn’t this our great hero? Co, co, today it’s on . Order whatever you like."

Before he even entered the guild hall, the Hunters coming and going recognized Yan Luo.

Following that, people who heard the na ’Yan Luo’ turned to look, found it really was Yan Luo, and crowded over, all wanting to say a word to him.

Yan Luo sighed, waved away the dirty hands trying to touch his muscles, "You can look but don’t touch. Also, let pass ahead; I want to go to the third floor."

Amid laughter, the crowd in front of Yan Luo made way for him.

As Yan Luo walked forward, many people followed, including those fighting over inviting him for a drink.

"Don’t get drunk; when did I ever drink alcohol?" Yan Luo shook his head, feeling quite helpless.

Those people were drunk out of their minds. He never drank alcohol, not even when invited by others.

In a throng of people, Yan Luo squeezed into the elevator, heading to the third floor.

Standing at the elevator door, a Hunter preparing to go down saw a large crowd inside as the cab door opened. Sowhat confused, he scratched his head, not understanding what they were up to.

The crowd pushed and squeezed, pouring out one after another from the cab. Yan Luo was the last to exit; he nodded as a greeting to the Hunter standing by.

Yan Luo casually found a chair to sit down, and as a result, most people’s eyes in the third-floor hall gathered on him.

They had all heard from Advanced Hunters how Yan Luo helped them and Crimson No. 2. Even though most Hunters were rotten scoundrels, indulging in all kinds of vices, they still respected Yan Luo.

Just as Yan Luo raised his hand to order, a ch brought over a cooler, placing the drinks from inside onto the table before Yan Luo, quickly covering the tabletop.

With no choice, Yan Luo looked around, "Are you trying to drown in water?"

While saying this, Yan Luo actually did start drinking the beverages on the table.

Except for the alcohol, which he didn’t touch, he drank all the other drinks in one go.

"Bravo!!!"

The crowd burst into applause, cheering loudly.

Even though they didn’t know why they were applauding, that’s just how Hunters were – as long as soone initiated so fun, others quickly joined in.

"Disperse, disperse, what are you doing crowding around all day?"

Chen Shan waved his hand, scolding the Hunters, but they were imdiately displeased, with soone challenging Chen Shan to a fight.

Chen Shan wasn’t afraid of fighting at all. Seated directly across from Yan Luo, he leaped up and charged at the challenging Hunter, knocking him down with three punches and two kicks.

Seeing this defeat, the remaining Hunters scattered in all directions.

Chen Shan raised his arms, calling out loudly, but no one echoed him. Finding it uninteresting, he pursed his lips, walked back, and sat down opposite Yan Luo again.

"Are you about to enter the Abyss again?" Chen Shan picked up one of the alcoholic drinks Yan Luo hadn’t touched, not caring that others had given it to Yan Luo, and drank it down.

Yan Luo nodded, "If I don’t go hunting soon, a new City-breaking Level Demon might be born."

"True." Chen Shan nodded, after which he stopped speaking, just kept drinking, drinking, drinking...

Watching Chen Shan relentlessly pour alcoholic drinks into his mouth, Yan Luo asked puzzledly, "What are you doing here?"

Chen Shan raised his head in surprise, "Isn’t it obvious? Here for free food and drink!"

Yan Luo was speechless.

With a couple of laughs, Chen Shan got to the point: "By the way, boy, want us Sequence Three Hunters to guard you? If you encounter a City-breaking Level Demon in the Abyss alone, it’ll be dangerous. After all, your secret is already out; it should be fine not to continue being a solo hunter, right?"

Chen Shan thought Yan Luo was a solo hunter to hide his secret; indeed, Yan Luo’s purpose was exactly that.

However, his secret wasn’t fully exposed yet.

Yan Luo couldn’t reveal that his growth ca from consuming demon flesh, so he found an excuse: "Being a solo hunter is more conducive to growth. Knowing there’s soone to protect might not matter at first, but over ti, I’d inevitably relax."

Chen Shan was montarily stunned, then realized Yan Luo was human, not a machine, and it was impossible to stay vigilant in a safe environnt.

For Hunters, losing vigilance was the most terrifying thing, even more so than losing combat skills against demons.

If Yan Luo wanted to keep growing, it was best for him to remain a solo hunter.

Joining a hunter team and becoming a mber wouldn’t prevent growth, but for Yan Luo, that growth rate would be slow.

"Alright, since you’re so determined, I won’t convince you anymore." Chen Shan shrugged, stood up, and left.

Before leaving, Chen Shan took a bottle of beer from the table.

After Chen Shan left, other Hunters gathered around, talking over each other, turning the space beside Yan Luo into a marketplace.

"Stop, stop!" Yan Luo quickly called for order, telling them to quiet down, "I’m just a regular person, nothing special to see. I ca to the guild to gather information about the Abyss. If anyone wants to exchange information with , take a seat."

As the saying goes, "the quick hand grabs while the slow hand misses;" before Yan Luo finished speaking, a shadow swiftly sat opposite him.

Just after the demon tide, it wasn’t the specifics of particular demons that needed asking about, but the extent of new demon numbers.

The number of new demons would indicate the recovery status of the Abyss. This was crucial for Yan Luo because he wanted to estimate when a new City-breaking Level Demon would appear.

The Hunter sitting opposite Yan Luo grinned and answered his question: "I returned from the Abyss three days ago. When I ca back, the Dark Forest already showed new lethal demons, and harmless ones appeared every five hundred ters. From this, it seems there’s still so ti before a new City-breaking Level Demon is born."

Hunters from Crimson No. 2 knew that Yan Luo attracted City-breaking Level Demons, and naturally guessed that he wanted this information for that reason.

"Other places were too far, so my teammates and I didn’t venture there; we only hunted in the Dark Forest. Then I found more demons gathering, especially the newly born ones; they couldn’t wait to stick together when they t their kind."

Yan Luo pondered in his heart, furrowing his brow hearing about demons starting to group.

The situation for solo hunters was becoming increasingly tough. Demons starting to gather increased the difficulty for many solo hunters wanting to hunt them.

Yan Luo himself was a solo hunter, so he couldn’t help but feel troubled.

If only low-level demons grouped, that would be fine, but if City-breaking Level Demons collaborated in the future, all Hunters would be in trouble.

From now on, not just solo hunters, but all Hunters would find their situation getting tougher, with solo hunters being the first to take the hit.

The Abyss was becoming increasingly strange, and who knew what changes might occur there after so ti?
