"True Na?"
Cain was taken aback.
"How co? Is there a difficulty? Can’t the Blood Clan Spirit Wand activate soone else’s True Na?"
Bai Yan raised an eyebrow and asked softly.
A True Na is a person’s real na, the unique real na upon one’s soul; all others are aliases.
The theory of True Nas is similar to Hua Xia’s birth ti and date concept.
In Western mythology, any cautious Wizard considers their True Na a most treasured secret, as well as the greatest threat to their life.
Once a Wizard’s adversary gets hold of their True Na, they can use any common Magic known to all to kill them or enslave them, regardless of the Wizard’s Magic Power or how feeble and clumsy the adversary may be.
Every thing in the world has a hidden True Na given by the will of the plane, which only a profound and sage Mage can see, or get close to the truth of.
For humans and creatures of the Main Plane, their True Nas are given by the will of the Main Plane, the sa applies to various planes like the Biochemical Plane and the Abyss Plane.
For a special God’s Son like Cain, his True Na was given by Adam, but after his fall, Cain used his Supre Power to modify his True Na.
As for Bai Yan, in theory, as he is a native human of the Main Plane, he should have a True Na given by the will of the Main Plane upon his birth.
Of course, not everyone can perceive their True Na; this requires a certain level of strength as a foundation.
Moreover, the perfect ti to perceive one’s True Na is much like when Hua Xia’s Immortals ditate in seclusion, best done in a safe place.
After all, the significance of a True Na is monuntal; if soone were to know one’s True Na, then there would truly be nowhere to cry.
Bai Yan wasn’t being impulsive in making this decision.
When it cos to perceiving his own True Na, nowhere in this world could be safer than Bai Yan’s own Abyss Territory.
And having Cain to help manifest his True Na is also a relatively prudent thod.
After all, Cain is his Demon Servant, and Bai Yan believes that the hundred thousand Demon contracts he had were not spent in vain; if Cain could betray him after signing the contract, wouldn’t the hundreds of thousands of Demon Servants under Bai Yan’s command also betray him?
If it really ca to that, Bai Yan felt he might as well slit his own throat!
All things considered, Bai Yan believed that revealing his True Na now was the safest choice he could make.
Certainly better than continuing to upgrade his territory, waiting for a True Na to appear at so uncertain ti.
True Nas are better controlled sooner rather than later.
"Master, regarding True Nas..."
Cain pondered for a mont before explaining to Bai Yan, "The Blood Clan Spirit Wand indeed has the capability to manifest a creature’s True Na, activating and enhancing abilities! But I can’t guarantee that the Spirit Wand will work on the Master."
"Then does this Spirit Wand work on Gods?"
Bai Yan asked with a smile.
"Definitely! It has full effects! Except maybe not as much on Gods with Great Divine Power, even those with strong Divine Power can have their divinity activated and solidified under the Spirit Wand!"
Cain declared confidently.
"Then that settles it! I am not a God yet; surely a Divine Artifact that works on Gods has to work on , right?"
Bai Yan urged, "Hurry up! How do you activate it, just get on with it!"
"Very well, Master."
Cain took a slow breath, opened his palm, and the Blood Clan Spirit Wand floated automatically in front of his chest without any breeze.
"I, Cain Nightroad, hereby use the Blood Clan Spirit Wand as a dium, to awaken the dormant True Na within the person before ..."
Cain spoke earnestly in an ancient Abyss Language, murmuring softly at first, then raising his voice more vehently!
Normally, as Cain, he would not need to chant any Spell while using his exclusive Divine Artifact, but to ensure success, and out of respect for his master, Cain did not skip this chanting step.
As Cain’s Spell was recited, the Blood Clan Spirit Wand started to spin, releasing an indistinct transparent energy that spread out and pulsated in the Void.
This strange energy gradually expanded, enveloping Bai Yan, lifting his body up into the air and making it float.
"Hm?"
Bai Yan frowned slightly, restraining the urge to suppress it with his hand, letting the energy spread throughout his body.
"...%¥...#%#¥@" (As usual, feel free to ponder about this ancient and mysterious language, since even the author has no idea what Cain is actually saying.)
The ancient Abyss Language that Cain uttered grew louder and louder, not without a blend of arcane and mystical lexicon, so much so that even Bai Yan felt it opaque and beyond comprehension.
Cain’s expression was flushed, his eyes tightly shut, as he chanted the spell loudly!
The speed of the Blood Clan Spirit Wand increased more and more!
The strange energy enveloping Bai Yan’s body grew denser and denser! It beca as tangible as water, swirling around Bai Yan, undulating and rippling!
Finally...
"Pfft!!!"
Cain spewed out a mouthful of golden Divine Blood, his complexion suddenly turning deathly pale, and he slumped to the ground, his gentleman’s attire drenched in his own sparkling Divine Blood.
"Clatter!"
The Blood Clan Spirit Wand abruptly fell to the ground, kicking up a bit of dust.
"Master... the ritual, the ritual has actually failed!"
Clinging to his chest, Cain’s expression bore a hint of pain, but more so, it was filled with incredulous shock.
Although he was only of Demigod strength now, the Divine Nature of the Bloodline King was still there, as were the divinity of the King of Monarchs and the Fallen Knight! Logically, it should’ve been very easy to activate the True Na for a human without even the strength of a Demigod, but now it had failed!
This was sothing Cain could not accept!
In contrast, Bai Yan was unscathed, and as the ritual failed, the strange energy around him gradually dissipated, and he floated down from midair.
"What on earth is going on?"
Bai Yan frowned slightly and beckoned with his hand.
The Abyss Territory imdiately consud a million units of Demon energy, transforming it into the purest essence of the Abyss to flow into Cain, healing his injuries.
"Thank you, Master."
Cain took a deep breath, his color looking much better.
Already gravely wounded, compounded with the backlash from the ritual’s failure, Cain almost fell into an eternal slumber right then and there.
"Master, I believe... you may not have a True Na!"
Cain took a mont to regulate his breath before speaking earnestly to Bai Yan.
"No True Na?"
Bai Yan was startled, then frowned and retorted coldly, "How is that possible!"
A True Na is the basis of all things and life forms; to be without a True Na ans that this person simply does not exist within the major planes!
To have no True Na is to be "nonexistent!"
So, in other words, if Cain believes that Bai Yan has no True Na...
Does that an, Bai Yan does not exist?
Bai Yan does not exist in this world? He does not exist in the Main Plane, not present in any other planes!
Even across the myriads of planes, there is no one nad Bai Yan!
No one has seen him; no one possesses any mories related to Bai Yan! As if he had never appeared at all!
Bai Yan’s lover, his subordinates, everything Bai Yan has strived for, could they all be but fragile bubbles that burst upon the slightest touch?
Are they all non-existent bubbles?
What kind of joke is this!
Bai Yan could never accept this reality.
He is, in no uncertain terms, a living, breathing human being!
Bai Yan has his own mories, his own soul, his emotions, and physical sense.
How do I not exist?
Or rather.
Who has the right to decree my nonexistence!
