Humans from Earth had been pulled into the Abyss!

Kev found out about it from the knowledge transferred to his mind.

He opened the box.

A monocle rested inside.

He picked it up, dusted it, and carefully wore it.

His eyesight didn't improve. His vision wasn't miraculously enhanced. The monocle served a far different purpose than physical enchantnt.

As per his mories, it could be used to divulge a secret about his target, but it ca with a price. It was his mory.

Kev didn't find the price hefty. He had lived for 18 years and made countless mories. Exchanging a mont of his life for a secret that could help him survive in the abyss didn't like a bad trade.

Its usage was a bit complicated, but the mories he'd received were quite detailed. He understood how to use it perfectly.

With the monocle still on, he looked towards the corpse below the platform.

Imdiately, an unfamiliar mory surged into his mind. Its appearance caused him no discomfort, and he easily absorbed it.

Kev didn't look away from the corpse.

Five seconds later, that mory pernantantly faded from his mind, replaced by another.

He forgot the fact that the iron-clad giant was from the six arms tribe. He just realized it was a slave. Its master was a being called Dakun.

He didn't find this secret useful. He wanted it to replaced by another secret. To do that, he just needed to keep his eyes on the target and wait for five seconds.

Looking away from the target ant accepting the secret it had divulged, which would then give it the right to take away one of his mories.

It was basically a double edged sword.

Five seconds later, he forgot what he had just learned about the giant. Then, he learned sothing new.

What use would knowing its age be?

Five seconds later, the mory of it being 40 years old in Kev's mind was swapped away with another secret.
