Chang'an.

The most prosperous place under heaven.

Ye Huangyun, dressed in a white dao robe, felt spring breeze in his step as he rode his horse.

Today, having achieved success in cultivation, he claid first place in both literature and martial arts during the palace examination, causing a sensation across the land.

The emperor awarded him the "Son of Heaven's Disciple" dao robe, riding a dragon horse to tour the entire city.

As Ye Huangyun toured Chang'an, he reminisced about the scene during the palace examination.

Every person almost always faces the "palace examination stone", channeling their full power into it for this divine stone to test.

——Heaven does not disappoint the persistent, he received affirmation from the "palace examination stone", being called "the strongest".

Although the entire event was indeed exhausting, the result was good after all.

For so reason, he always felt that his full strength had not been fully unleashed.

Moreover, after the palace examination, he faintly sensed that it seed an extrely powerful force had been used by the "palace examination stone"——

But it was not returned.

Why would this happen?

Ye Huangyun's heart was filled with doubt.

At this mont, it was as if sothing in his heart suddenly awoke.

His past vividly appeared before his eyes.

Since rebirth——

He avoided many traps, finally overcoming all obstacles to reach today.

However.

Before rebirth, he had encountered so events.

The mories were already very blurred.

Those should have been so illusions between life and death.

For example——

Black rain.

Rain?

Why is it black?

As he was trying hard to think, countless dreamlike murmurs erupted in the void.

The entire world seed to quiet down, falling into complete stasis.

Endless malice surrounded him.

Those murmurs like raging tides enveloped him, constantly rging into his mind.

The next mont.

Smack.

Ye Huangyun realized he was hit by sothing.

He returned to his senses, only to find a red embroidered ball bouncing off from his chest, landing on the horse's back.

Embroidered ball?

He picked up the ball and weighed it in his hand.

This ball was woven from the silk of extrely rare ice silkworms of ten thousand years, able to evade people's divine thoughts.

No wonder it was able to hit .

Ye Huangyun looked up to see a strikingly beautiful woman standing on a high building beside him.

Beside him, another fellow from the contemporaneous palace examination excitedly said:

"Brother Ye, that's the emperor's cherished princess of the empire——"

"She's taken a liking to you!"

Everyone around jeered.

Ye Huangyun steadied himself.

——Regardless of anything, the matter at hand must be dealt with imdiately.

He held the embroidered ball and gently soared up the high building, bowing to the princess:

"Is this Your Highness's ball?"

"Yes," the princess shyly replied, "It was ant to hit you."

The whole venue was in an uproar.

She smiled slightly at him, revealing a beauty that could bring cities to ruin.

Ye Huangyun was sowhat dumbfounded.

——Compared to so mysterious events between life and death, how could anything be more important than the beauty before him?

His previous thoughts were long cast to the heavens above.

At the sa mont.

Across the seas.

On an island in the East Sea, a giant stone cracked open.

A black gorilla shot into the sky, landed on the ground, tumbled a few tis, then stood up.

With complete facial features and limbs, it quickly learned to crawl and walk, paying respects to the four directions, its gaze casting golden light straight into the skies.

Ti passed.

Three years later.

Ye Huangyun stood outside the hall, waiting anxiously.

Suddenly, a baby's cry sounded, and joyful voices of won ca from inside the hall:

"Born! It's a boy!"

In the void, the endless murmur suddenly grew louder.

Infinite voices filled the world.

Yet no one heard them.

Nor did Ye Huangyun hear them.

He only heard the maid's words and was overjoyed.

Two maids already ca out holding the baby to et him.

One maid urged:

"Consort, quickly cut your finger, gather all your Tao power in your blood, and drop a drop on the child's brow, so he can grow strong and awaken his power."

"Of course!" Ye Huangyun gladly agreed.

——Transmitting one's mana through a blood curse to the next generation is an established practice in the world.

Simple, direct, and brutal.

Effective.

Everyone acknowledged this.

Ye Huangyun naturally knew this common sense.

He used a treasure knife at his waist to cut his finger, squeezed out a drop of blood, gathering all his mana within.

——The color of this blood drop was gray.

Ye Huangyun paused.

In the void, the poisonous murmurs descended from the sky, fully encircling him, dense and incessant, growing faster and stronger.

Ye Huangyun relaxed his brow and dropped the blood onto the infant's brow.

——According to common sense, during the blood curse ceremony, everyone's blood is gray, so it's nothing to be startled about.

The maid mischievously smiled and said:

"Look, the baby has received your power inheritance, and is no longer crying, and is now peacefully asleep."

"Hahaha, naturally!" Ye Huangyun laughed with satisfaction.

The ceremony was complete.

Two maids holding the baby quickly moved toward the room.

There were many more affairs to handle next.

——But they no longer needed this consort.

At the sa mont.

In the Southern Wilderness's vast mountains.

A teor fell from the sky, piercing through layers of clouds, plunging into a mountain gorge.

Boom——

In the depths of the gorge, within a demon beast's nest.

The teor entered the demon beast's belly.

In an instant.

A pig demon was born!

This was a delicate and charming Dutch Pig!

Another three years passed.

Five years.

Ten years.

No need to elaborate on the events in between, as they are no different from this.

Fifteen years later.

One day, the Emperor attended the court, gently touching the white hair on his head, and suddenly sighed:

"We cultivate with myriad thods and countless magic, yet cannot attain immortality, is it not a joke?"

Everyone remained silent.

At this ti, a monk passing through the empire, exchanging official docunts, spoke up:

"Why not go to the Spirit Mountain to seek the true scriptures?"

"What of the true scriptures?" the Emperor asked.

"The Mahayana Buddhism Tripitaka can save the dead from suffering, with a body that knows no decay," the monk said.

"Is it truly so?" the Emperor asked.

"Absolutely no falsehood," the monk said.

The Emperor looked towards the elders serving on either side, inquiring with his eyes.

Both elders slightly nodded, indicating the monk was not lying.

The monk then presented various maps and notes, saying:

"The westward journey is long, with many demons; trusted and skilled individuals are needed to reach it."

The Emperor, overjoyed, stood up and shouted below: "Who among you, my beloved ministers, can journey to the Spirit Mountain for the true scriptures?"

The ministers surged with movent, eager to accept the task.

The Emperor hesitated to decide.

Ye Huangyun stepped forward from the crowd, bowing ceremoniously: "Your Majesty, I am willing to undertake this journey."

The Emperor decided:

"Good! You are my beloved son-in-law, a pillar minister with exceptional cultivation; I order you to journey westward to Spirit Mountain to fetch the true scriptures!"

"Yes!" Ye Huangyun said.

On the other side.

Outside the "Calamity of Fate".

In the "Death Land of the Three Paths".

"Truly troubleso..."

"If we defeat it, will more formidable monsters appear?"

Wu Xiaode ruminated quietly, continuously dodging and maneuvering.

——He too was in a fierce struggle.

The large black hand in the void incessantly pounded, crashed, slashed, pushed, smacked, and struck, repelling the massive evil object's attacks one by one.

This evil object was seemingly not much inferior to the power of the "Skeleton".

Its body was full of tentacles, each with a head, each head capable of spitting out a destructive light sphere.

The entire world was enveloped in these dense light spheres.

Wu Xiaode, relying on the "Invincible" attribute of "Dragon Snake Rising from Land," barely managed to hold on.

He no longer dared to go all out.

After all, each previous ti he scattered the enemy, a stronger foe imdiately appeared.

——This was already the third one.

If it continued like this, sooner or later he would encounter an existence capable of surpassing the "Dragon Snake Rising from Land" and killing him!

As he was contemplating, he suddenly saw the heads of the evil object cluster together, all opening their mouths to spit out a mass of black light.

The black lights gathered, exuding a terrifying aura.

Wu Xiaode instinctively felt sothing was wrong and imdiately delivered another punch——

A flash.

The giant black fist scattered the many heads of the evil object.

The black light, like a beam, swept across the sky and hit Wu Xiaode.

His body, like a shadow, crashed into countless coffins, plumting below the endless group of coffins.

"Damn it!"

"Even with the 'Invincible' protection, this move was too painful."

Wu Xiaode gritted his teeth, his body seething with anger.

No matter.

Let's deal with this creature first before considering other matters!

——If he could defeat it.

He gritted his teeth and was about to rush out from the dense coffins when he suddenly stopped where he was.

What?

What was that sound?

Wu Xiaode focused his mind to listen, faintly hearing an ethereal song.

A woman sang softly:

"You really should co and see... this magnificent... Everday City..."

At this mont.

Wu Xiaode had two choices.

The first choice, charge up and continue fighting the evil object;

The second choice, seek out the source of this voice.

Logically, in such a sinister place, one should not concern themselves with anything they encounter to ensure their safety.

Moreover, he was engaged in a battle.

Yet a distant mory flashed through Wu Xiaode's mind.

Back then, he had awakened a skill——

It was called "Everday City"!

The skill description included a phrase:

"Destruction and death erge together to the extre, capturing a slight ergence of Everday City from the endless chaos at the end, for your use."

——A slight ergence of Everday City.

His skill was rely a "slight ergence" of the real Everday City.

Could it be that in this sinister place nad "Death Land of the Three Paths," the real Everday City is hidden?

At this thought, Wu Xiaode could no longer restrain himself.

He looked up and saw endless coffins blocking his overhead view, isolating the evil object from him for the mont.

——Then I'll take a look!

Even if it's fake, it's just another battle!

Following the woman's voice, Wu Xiaode's figure flickered rapidly to the extre.

In just two finger snaps.

He traversed the long distance and arrived before a dilapidated coffin.

Seeing that this coffin was identical to the rest, but its lid was open.

On the open side of the coffin was a line of delicate yet disordered small characters:

"Master, save ."

"Xiu..."

This was written in blood.

Was soone once trapped alive in this sinister place?

Who was her master?

Since she is no longer here, does it an she was rescued?

——How was she rescued from this "Death Land of the Three Paths"?

As Wu Xiaode pondered, a deafening roar sounded from outside:

"Co on, roll out, are you scared out of your wits?"

However, amidst this voice, that woman's voice suddenly appeared again——

"Everday City... beautiful Everday City... you are the only new life..."

The voice ca from within this coffin!

No doubt!

There must be intrigue here!

At the sa ti, Wu Xiaode suddenly felt a jolt in his heart, with various insights surging in his mind.

A line of battle record appeared in the Evil Spirit Book:

"Your Elent Detection auto-activated, detected the chanism here, and mastered its usage."

Wu Xiaode hesitated no longer, directly charging into the coffin.

He reached out, gently touching the small characters.

In an instant.

He vanished.
