The Heavenly Book displayed the words "Ning Shen Temple Head" prominently.

The entire world instantly turned dark.

A female voice arose in the darkness:

"The Head of the Ning Shen Temple has been determined, the secret realm of the Inner World is now open."

In an instant,

The entire world moved away from Wu Xiaode’s side, and a completely new world appeared all around him.

Clouds enshrouded the area with the murmur of flowing streams.

Wu Xiaode found himself standing at the base of a mountain, beside him flowed a clear stream, flanked by trees lush and verdant, blossoming with countless pink peach flowers, strikingly beautiful.

"Is this—Immortal Peach Orchard?"

Wu Xiaode exclaid in surprise.

There was no sound around him.

He looked around and suddenly glimpsed several glazed tiles peeking out from the bushes on the opposite bank.

There were houses!

Having houses ant there were people here.

Wu Xiaode lightly tapped his foot and crossed over the stream, hopping among the peach trees for a while before landing in an open area.

Not far away from him stood a vermilion temple complex, divided into three gates, each leading to a different location, but the middle and left doors were sealed off, only the door to the right was slightly ajar.

Above the left door, a few characters were carved with robust and vigorous strokes:

"Ning Shen Office."

Wu Xiaode glanced at it, then couldn’t help but look at the two sealed doors.

The left door bore the large characters "Ningjing Office," and as for the middle door, soone had smoothed it into a flat stone surface; one could barely make out that there were originally five large characters there.

—Perhaps this had been where other immortals originally resided.

Wu Xiaode thought for a mont and decided not to bother with it, heading straight for the door of "Ning Shen Office," and pushed it open.

Inside the door was a peach tree, laden with Immortal Peaches. rely inhaling its scent, Wu Xiaode imdiately felt invigorated and refreshed.

A calm and gentle female voice said, "The Head of the Ning Shen Office has been entrusted to this world, it seems that the great calamity of ’Heaven and Earth’ will be extrely difficult to overco."

"Who might you be? Please, co out so I can et you," Wu Xiaode said, clasping his fists.

"I am right in front of you," the female voice said with a chuckle.

Wu Xiaode looked straight ahead—

All he saw was a peach tree.

"Are you this peach tree?" Wu Xiaode couldn’t help asking.

"Yes,"

the female voice said slowly: "This is the internal realm of ’Heaven and Earth’; only those who have undergone nurous trials and have been recognized by the Heavenly Book can reach this place."

"Does this secret realm have a na?" Wu Xiaode asked.

"Kunlun."

"Kunlun..."

"It’s a mountain; just turn around and look."

Wu Xiaode turned and looked outside to find a range of lofty and endless mountains, as high as the heavens.

The place he had arrived at was rely a stream at a mountain hollow.

A line of ice crystal characters appeared:

"You have discovered the secret realm: Kunlun."

Wu Xiaode was stunned.

Until now, he still couldn’t understand the aning of all this.

"What should... I do?" Wu Xiaode asked.

The peach tree spoke slowly:

"In days of old, Heaven and Earth wished to enlighten all beings, sun essence and moon aura ford a life, searching for immortality and seeking the way, finally achieving reality, thus entering Kunlun Mountain’s Immortal Peach Orchard, consuming all longevity peaches, then releasing it to endure countless hardships and battles, ultimately achieving success."

"That was in a past era."

"So? What does that have to do with ?" Wu Xiaode shrugged.

"This is the Ning Shen Office, after Heaven, Human Race, and Heavenly Book recognized this inner world abode you’ve received, it can help you withstand the great calamity," the peach tree said.

"Is that so? Do I also need to eat all the longevity peaches?" Wu Xiaode asked.

"No, the longevity peaches co from the central door; the peaches here do not prolong life. They possess another function which can help you conceal the heavenly secrets and deceive the heavens," the peach tree said.

"If they can’t be eaten, how are they to be used?" Wu Xiaode asked.

"Watch closely—"

The peach tree’s voice vanished,

and then the densely packed peaches on the tree transford into little people, jumping off the branches and starting to perform a play.

A little person dressed as a human puppet loudly said, "Which of our comrades has rebuilt the passage?"

—It was re-enacting an earlier scene where the human puppets returned and began to inquire who had accomplished a great feat.

The other little figures collectively said, "Stop!"

"Why should we stop?" the little figure asked.

A bright red little figure exclaid, "Once he receives a divine position in heaven, he will imdiately be discovered by the demons peering from beyond the heavens, and this could very likely expose his identity!"

Another greenish little figure waved its hand,

"Exactly, this part isn’t good. We need to perform a deed of deceiving the heavens, helping to cover up everything that just happened."

The first little figure said, "Then, shall we stage a play?"

The other little figures whispered amongst themselves for a while, then collectively said:

"Agreed!"

They all began to pull out pieces of paper, writing sothing on them with colorful pens.

Watching this scene, Wu Xiaode was nearly astounded.

Such a style seed—likely—probably—perhaps—possibly—

sothing he had seen before!

He quietly squatted down and whispered to the leader of the little people,

"Wait a second, I want to ask sothing."

"Do you want so chocolate?" the little person asked while lying on a leaf, sticking his butt up in the air, digging in his nose with a pencil, and casually pulling out a very tiny piece of chocolate.

"Thank you, but it’s not about food—I wanted to ask if you all are fairies?" Wu Xiaode asked cautiously.

"Of course not, we are tree spirits, more fashionable and trendier than fairies," the little person said impatiently.

He tossed the piece of chocolate to Wu Xiaode, saying, "Eat it."

Wu Xiaode caught the chocolate.

Imdiately, two lines of tiny ice crystal words appeared on the Book of the Dead:

"Liquor-filled chocolate."

"Eat it, and you will have the ability to return to the current world’s tiline once."

The little person spoke, "You, being a re mortal body, need sothing to help you travel through ti. Stick with us later and go back to that mont, and play your part well."

Wu Xiaode silently nodded, then looked towards the peach tree again.

"They live in ."

The peach tree explained.

"What do we do next? Are we really going back to that sa scene?" Wu Xiaode asked, confused.

The little person leader jumped up and exclaid loudly,

"Yes, we can’t just defend—especially at a ti when the enemy has begun to invade the ’Heaven and Earth’ world. We need to send our ace agents to infiltrate their ranks and destroy their sches in one fell swoop."

"How do we do it?" Wu Xiaode asked.

"Eat the chocolate!" the leader of the little people commanded.

Wu Xiaode had no choice but to peel off the chocolate wrapper and eat it in one bite.

In a flash,

it was as if he saw an endless glowing river.

Yet this river carried a sense of deep silence, as if it had not flowed for thousands of years.

Everything passed in a blur.

Wu Xiaode found himself back in the desert outside Sare Town.

He was holding a bracelet, standing mid-air.

This mont was—

right after he parted ways with Abner, just returned to the "Heaven and Earth" world!

What should he do now?

The space portal had already been established, as one human puppet after another flew out of it.

After almost all of them had returned to the "Heaven and Earth" world—

Boom!!!

A terrifying aura of Destruction emanated from the portal.

It was as if the entire world inside had been destroyed, no longer existing.

"Which of our companions re-established the portal?"

The leader of the human puppets asked.

All the human puppets on guard looked towards Wu Xiaode—

and another human puppet beside him.

"Reporting, sir! Just now, this human puppet beside had sealed the portal. I broke his spell, allowing you all to return,"

that human puppet said.

Wu Xiaode was surprised.

What?

It wasn’t ?

Why is that?

...So that’s it. Was it to avoid being treated as a traitor by the Destruction Council when I returned?

"So it was you—hmph, others may not recognize you, but I can see through you right away," the leader of the human puppets said from a position of authority.

"You know ?" Wu Xiaode asked.

"You are with the Destruction Council! I saw through your disguise because I rembered the aura you left behind when you stole the Human Puppet Forging Skill!"

All the human puppets drew their weapons, pointing them at Wu Xiaode.

At the sa ti, Wu Xiaode felt sothing extra in his hand.

It was a jade slip.

Jade slips... seed to be sothing the immortals used to record things.

"Dude, the thod in this jade slip is wrong, perfect for you to mislead those enemies with it,"

a voice whispered in his ear.

Who was speaking?

Wu Xiaode looked around at the human puppets, seeing a few of them stealthily winking at him, but upon looking again, he found their faces filled with murderous intent, as if they were ready to strike at any mont.

Damn it.

They were actually controlled by fairies!

No wonder they could gather the powers of various immortals all together, creating such chaos.

With a sudden epiphany, Wu Xiaode burst into laughter.

"Although you broke my spatial sealing spell, the forging thod is now in my hands!"

"We’ll et again!"

He had barely finished speaking when he imdiately activated the Demon Mist, disappearing from the spot.

"Damn it!"

The leader of the human puppets roared.

"He got away!"

The other human puppets shouted in frustration.
