"So it really was Jiraiya's student?"

"Yahiko…"

After hearing Uchiha Chizumi's words, Tsunade was shaken by the fact that the Akatsuki had truly been founded by Jiraiya's students.

But when Chizumi said Yahiko was dead, her expression turned hesitant.

She rembered Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. Not only her—Orochimaru had t the three of them too. And in Tsunade's mory, the one who left the deepest impression on her was not Nagato, but Yahiko.

After all, Yahiko's personality was very similar to her younger brother Nawaki's. That was why Tsunade rembered him so clearly.

"So that ans Hanzo of the Salamander from Agakure actually died a long ti ago?"

Tsunade's brief mont of nostalgia for Yahiko lasted only an instant before she suddenly thought of sothing else and asked Chizumi for confirmation.

"Hanzo of the Salamander joined forces with Danzō Shimura. That was what led to Yahiko's death."

"And after Yahiko died, Nagato's Rinnegan awakened further. Later, he gradually swallowed up Agakure. As for Hanzo, he probably died a long ti ago."

Uchiha Chizumi didn't hide anything. In truth, he really couldn't understand why Hanzo of the Salamander had ever been called "Hanzo the Demigod." Aside from his salamander summon's powerful poison, Hanzo's own strength was only around Kage level.

"So Hanzo really is dead…"

After hearing Chizumi's answer, Tsunade's expression grew a little distant.

The title of the Three Sannin held by her, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya wasn't actually an honor at first. Or rather, in the beginning, it had been a humiliating title given to them by Hanzo of the Salamander—because back then, the three of them had truly been defeated by him.

So many years had passed, and Tsunade believed her own strength had improved greatly. Yet the pressure Hanzo had brought her back then still felt almost vivid.

"And why was Yahiko's death connected to Danzō Shimura too?"

Tsunade's lancholy didn't last long. In the next mont, she realized that Chizumi had said Yahiko's death was also tied to Danzō.

Although Tsunade already knew that Danzō had probably done plenty of filthy things behind the village's back, she was starting to feel like half the chaos in the shinobi world was sohow connected to him.

"There's no hurry to deal with the Akatsuki. The last ti they ambushed , I destroyed four of the Six Paths Nagato controls. It'll take him so ti to repair them."

"And my Flying Thunder God still has a lot of room for improvent. Without Flying Thunder God, even destroying the Akatsuki wouldn't be enough."

The reason Uchiha Chizumi had not gone after the Akatsuki yet was naturally not because he intended to let them off. It was because he knew very well that with Obito's Kamui involved, even if he destroyed the Akatsuki, it would still be difficult to kill Nagato and the others.

"It's that man called Obito, isn't it?"

"The one with the Sharingan space-ti ability, the one connected to the Fourth Hokage's death back then?"

When Chizumi brought up Flying Thunder God, Tsunade also rembered Obito's existence. She had only recently learned that Uchiha Obito was connected to the Fourth Hokage's death, and most of that information had co from Chizumi.

"Correct. Only once I fully master Flying Thunder God will I be confident I can kill him."

Uchiha Chizumi nodded.

At this point, he could be said to have no real weaknesses left. Even Flying Thunder God had already been started. But with only an introductory grasp of it, he estimated that killing Obito would still be very difficult.

Not long after Uchiha Chizumi returned to Konoha, Tsunade, now the Fifth Hokage, set off toward the Land of Earth with Shizune and Anko Mitarashi. The Five Kage Summit was about to be held, and Konoha had already delayed for quite so ti.

And just as the Five Kage Summit in the Land of Earth was about to begin, the daimyo of the Earth, Wind, and Lightning countries t again elsewhere.

Unlike their grim expressions the last ti the three daimyo gathered, this ti each of them looked spirited, confident, and even sowhat relaxed.

"In less than half a month, we've already gathered an army of thirty thousand!"

"Most importantly, after our call went out, the daimyo of the smaller nations responded one after another!"

"The daimyo of the Waterfall Country, the River Country, the Star Country, the Hot Water Country, the Bird Country, the Tea Country—and other smaller nations we had never even formally established relations with—have all begun sending ninja to join our allied army."

"In just half a month, a total of nine nations have joined our Daimyo Alliance!"

The Lightning Daimyo stared at the shinobi world map before him, his eyes full of intense confidence.

At that mont, a bold thought even surfaced in his mind: if he could truly take control of this allied army, could he sweep across the entire shinobi world and beco the daimyo of all nations?

"But the quality of these small nations' ninja is very concerning. Their strength is mostly at genin level."

"We may have thirty thousand troops, but nearly ninety-nine percent of them are genin. Can an army like this really kill that man called Uchiha Chizumi?"

The Wind Daimyo couldn't help pouring cold water on the Lightning Daimyo's enthusiasm.

He had gathered so ninja too, and because Sunagakure had never really been obedient, the Wind Daimyo was well aware that the gap between ninja could sotis be wider than the gap between humans and dogs.

"The allied ninja are weak only because they lack suitable ninjutsu."

"As long as we each contribute so ninjutsu to the Daimyo Alliance, surely so strong fighters will erge from among them."

"Besides, this is an army of over thirty thousand ninja. Even if we have to bury him under bodies, we can bury Uchiha Chizumi to death!"

The Earth Daimyo spoke up. His understanding of ninjutsu was limited, but he did know one thing: more ant better, and more ant stronger.

Back then, the Land of Earth had used ten thousand genin to wear down and kill the Third Raikage. Now they had an allied army of thirty thousand ninja, including so jōnin. Killing Uchiha Chizumi through sheer numbers shouldn't be anything difficult.

"Provide ninjutsu to the allied ninja…"

After the Earth Daimyo spoke, the Lightning Daimyo and Wind Daimyo both began seriously considering the suggestion.

"Then we'll provide ninjutsu to the allied army!"

"Give them one month. One month from now, the allied army will march on the Land of Fire!"

"This ti, we will not only kill Uchiha Chizumi completely, but also occupy as much of the Land of Fire as possible!"

"Gentlen, what generations of daimyo failed to accomplish may be accomplished in our hands!"

The Lightning Daimyo slamd his hand down, his eyes full of excitent and eagerness.

Clearly, he had been eyeing the Land of Fire's territory for a very long ti.
