A wet chunk of bloody flesh slid down Mitarashi Anko's face and landed on the ground with a sickening plop. She instinctively wiped her cheek—only to find her palm soaked in blood.

She looked around, disoriented.

Three fresh pools of blood painted the earth. Pieces of flesh were scattered everywhere within her line of sight.

Uchiha Chizumi's words still echoed in her mind.

And that's when it hit her: she might've seriously ssed up.

The stench of blood was thick in the air. She took one last breath, turned around, and looked at Chizumi with a kind of resignation.

He didn't look particularly angry, but she still apologized.

"If I hadn't attacked him... maybe you could've kept one of them alive."

She was convinced Orochimaru had planted so kind of twisted curse mark on those three.

The trigger was probably either death or being pushed to the brink of it.

Maybe her poison technique—Multiple Hidden Shadow Snake Hands—had been the final straw that set off the curse mark on the last one.

Chizumi didn't seem bothered.

"Doesn't matter. Knowing Orochimaru, even if the guy had no injuries, the seal inside him would've still activated."

Anko paused. "…You seem to know Orochimaru pretty well?"

"He's an 'evil' I've wanted to wipe out for years," Chizumi replied. "But back then, my Absolute Justice wasn't strong enough. I had one perfect chance—on the day he defected. But I still failed to kill him."

Anko suddenly realized why Orochimaru was so obsessed with him.

Being stalked by a lava-wielding beast like Chizumi? Yeah, even Orochimaru probably lost sleep over that.

As she was lost in thought, she noticed sothing—

Chizumi was already walking away, as if the three butchered ninja were barely a blip on his radar.

She snapped out of it and quickly followed. After all, she was technically a prisoner—just with temporary freedom.

Those mutilated corpses, and the criminals Chizumi had killed on the road earlier, were more than enough warning: Never stand against his Absolute Justice.

Otherwise…

She'd be next.

"Heh… So the curse marks all triggered? That was fast. I bet those three didn't even have ti to fight back before that brat tore them apart."

In a dimly lit research base sowhere in Konoha, Orochimaru squinted slightly, as if sensing sothing.

"So… he rejected the olive branch I tossed him," he murmured, licking the corner of his mouth.

His pale face curled into a twisted smile.

"Still sees as the enemy, huh? That only makes more eager."

"Your growth, Chizumi... it's far beyond what I predicted. That body of yours… it's perfect for ."

"Just don't die before I catch you."

He chuckled darkly to himself—until his eyes narrowed again. Sothing shifted.

That smile? Gone.

His golden slit pupils flickered with annoyance… and just a hint of bloodlust—though he masked it quickly.

"Always showing up uninvited. You know, there are less annoying ways to get in touch."

From the wall behind him, a figure erged—black and white, twisted like paint on water.

"You Sannin really don't miss much," said Zetsu, stepping forward.

Orochimaru turned, snake-like.

"Myterious, are we? You know my na, but I know nothing about you. Isn't that a little unfair?"

Zetsu didn't blink.

"Don't shoot the ssenger. I'm only here because the Leader sent ."

"He wanted to give you a warning: it doesn't matter where you hide, Akatsuki will find you. You don't get to enjoy mbership perks without pulling your weight."

"I'm just the delivery guy."

Orochimaru's eyes had narrowed to slits, his killing intent no longer hidden.

"So... any tasks you're handing out today?"

"Uchiha Chizumi," Zetsu said evenly. "The Konoha brat with two kekkei genkai. You know him, don't you? After all, you were one of the Three Legendary Sannin."

A faint smirk touched Orochimaru's lips.

"So... Akatsuki's keeping an eye on him now?"

More like Obito's obsessed, Zetsu thought silently. He even thought I was leaking info to Chizumi and made prove my loyalty.

But on the outside, he said calmly, "Just share what you know and follow orders."

Obito clearly saw Chizumi as a major threat—one that knew far too much.

Orochimaru was about to reply, but then he stopped and chuckled ominously.

"Are these really the Leader's orders?"

"What do you think?"

"Heh…"

Orochimaru didn't say yes or no.

Just smiled.

Evening.

Anko had assud Chizumi just needed to pass through the capital. But then—

"We're here," he said.

She froze.

So this place… was his destination.

"ow~ This is my first ti here too," Jujiro, the talking ninja cat, said cheerily. "Even though I was born in the Land of Fire. I don't think Chizumi-sama's ever visited the capital either, right?"

"Yeah," Chizumi replied casually, his eyes scanning the bustling streets ahead.

What others saw as prosperity, he saw as a den of corruption.

With a single glance, he spotted two red na targets and over a dozen white-na wrongdoers.

"Even the most prosperous, most central places can't stop evil from breeding. Actually… the more prosperous it is, the more it feeds corruption."

Jujiro seed to pick up on what he ant.

But Anko, still out of the loop, didn't get it.

She hadn't been in the village when the news spread—about Chizumi's ability to see both past and future sins.

Now, hearing him speak, she looked around the street, carefully examining everyone passing by.

She didn't notice anything off.

Then she noticed sothing else—Chizumi slowly drew his sword.

Its silver blade was still stained with old blood.

It was dull at the edge too. Just how many people had he cut down lately?

And—was he really about to draw a weapon in broad daylight?

Even as a ninja, wasn't this a little… much?

She didn't have to wait long.

Three seconds later, two ard samurai ca rushing over.

"Hey! Ninja!" one yelled. "Put that thing away! This is the capital, not your hillbilly Konoha village! Don't wave that around here—you'll scare the nobles!"

Konoha… hillbilly? Anko's face twitched. Wow. Capital people really think they're royalty, huh?

"Hey! I said you—are you deaf?"

Chizumi turned to face them.

"Perfect," he said softly. "Saves the trouble of walking over."

The samurai froze.

Sothing about this guy felt... wrong.

Their hands instinctively dropped to their sword hilts.

Around them, the crowd began to gather.

Anko's pupils shrank.

"This is bad," she muttered, stepping forward to warn him. "Chizumi, those guys are law enforcent. Think of them as this city's version of the Uchiha Police—"

But before she could finish, Chizumi cut her off.

"Adachi Tsuguto," he said aloud. "Ten years ago, you 'accidentally' killed a man during an arrest. When his brother ca for answers, you broke his legs. Then, along with your buddy Sakigawa Keiji, you dragged the man's sister into your ho and raped her. She hanged herself afterward."

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

Chizumi turned to the second samurai.

"Sakigawa Keiji. Sa cri. And neither of you turned yourselves in for ten years. No sign of remorse."

"You hillbilly ninja!" Keiji exploded, sweat pouring down his temple. "You think you can slander us like that? Got proof? Huh?!"

Chizumi stared at him, emotionless.

"I'll have proof in a second."

"Then show—"

Shing—

Before Keiji could finish, Chizumi casually slashed Adachi's throat.

His head hit the ground with a thud.

Chizumi placed the bloody blade against Keiji's neck.

The warm spray from Adachi's body splashed across Keiji's face.

He shivered.

He wet himself.

Chizumi whispered,

"Did you rape her?"

Keiji's body collapsed.

He stuttered. "Y-Yeah… yeah... I did…"

Chizumi gave a cold smile.

"See? Told you the proof would co."

Shk— The dull blade dragged across Keiji's throat. It didn't fully sever his head—but that terrified expression stayed frozen on his lolling, half-hanging face as his body collapsed.

Two bodies.

Thirty seconds.

In front of everyone.

Mitarashi Anko was frozen.

She had seen Uchiha Chizumi kill people before. Hell, she knew he could be extre—he even killed fellow Konoha shinobi if they crossed his line.

But this… this was broad daylight.

In the capital.

And the Uchiha Police had no jurisdiction here.

Does he even know that? she thought, as a chill ran down her spine.

Jujiro had ntioned this was Chizumi's first ti in the capital.

Wait… why am I, a prisoner, worrying about the guy who might kill next?

anwhile, a man hidden in the panicked crowd narrowed his eyes.

"…The hell kind of lunatic is this guy?"

He peeked through the bystanders, eyes landing on Chizumi.

"That outfit… looks a lot like the Uchiha Police Force…"

A normal Uchiha on mission outside the village wasn't unheard of.

But the Police Force showing up outside Konoha?

That was a first.

Has nothing to do with , the man thought. I've been gone for fifteen years. No one should even rember I exist.

He turned to leave.

And then—

Chizumi's eyes locked onto him.

The man's heart stopped cold.

No way…

He's not here for … is he?

No. No. Must be a coincidence.

That's when he saw it—

The faint, crimson glow of a Sharingan.

Shit.

In the very next mont, he was caught in a genjutsu.

His arms clamped to his sides. His legs locked together. His face twisted like sothing invisible was crushing him.

He felt like he was drowning.

He gasped once—then held it.

His face turned blue. Veins bulged on his neck. His eyes went wide with terror.

The people next to him noticed sothing was off, reached out to help—

—but he collapsed, stiff as a board.

Dead.

Eyes bulging. Face contorted. Suffocated to death by genjutsu.

"Third one," Chizumi muttered, his eyes reverting to normal. Another "red na" takedown confird.

The guy was just a runaway Konoha genin-turned-missing-nin. No drops. Nothing valuable.

Anko stared, mouth slightly open.

That guy in the crowd… was a criminal too?

She couldn't wrap her head around it.

How did Chizumi even know that?

They were strangers. No prior contact. Nothing.

Wait—

Then it hit her.

If there was no way they'd t before, then… how the hell did Chizumi know their full nas?

And their exact cris?

Her brain short-circuited for a second.

Jujiro casually chid in, "Chizumi-sama can see a person's past sins—and the cris they're destined to commit in the future."

"So maybe don't go doubting his judgnt, girl."

…Girl?

Anko would've blushed if a human said that.

But from a talking cat?

That just felt insulting.

Then again, as a prisoner, she figured she technically had fewer rights than the cat anyway.

But that wasn't the point.

The real bombshell was—

Chizumi could literally see people's past and future cris.

anwhile — sowhere nearby…

"Finally caught up…" Jiraiya muttered, watching from the treetops.

A group of kids walked ahead—most between five to fourteen years old.

And at the front… a woman with a fierce presence and massive fists.

"Tsunade…"

He hadn't seen her in years. Not since he left to chase Orochimaru across the continent.

Who would've guessed they'd et again because of a brat nad Uchiha Chizumi?

"Lurking in the shadows again? Not very subtle," Tsunade called out.

She had stopped walking, her eyes already darting behind her. Her hands flexed. If whoever was following didn't show themselves soon, she was clearly ready to throw hands.

"W-Wait! Chill!"

Jiraiya winced. His ribs twinged in reflex.

He hadn't forgotten the ti he'd tried to peek on her in the hot springs and ended up in the hospital.

He jumped down quickly, hands raised in surrender.

"It's , it's !"

His sudden appearance startled the kids. A white-haired man in a red cloak with a weird smirk wasn't exactly comforting.

Even though Chizumi had helped them forget the horrors they endured in Tanzaku Town with a genjutsu, so deep-seated trauma still lingered.

The kids imdiately darted behind Tsunade for protection.

She had, after all, crushed a boulder with her bare hands just two days ago.

And her big chest was probably also comforting. Sohow.

"It's okay," Tsunade whispered, patting one of the kids gently on the head.

Then she looked at Jiraiya, eyebrows furrowed.

"What are you doing here? You were following , weren't you?"

Jiraiya scratched his head and gave a sheepish grin.

"I heard about Chizumi killing hundreds in Tanzaku Town… and noticed you didn't stop him. I got worried sothing happened to you."

Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"You were worried? That I didn't stop the kid?"

Jiraiya nodded awkwardly. "Yeah, I guess I panicked and tailed you."

"Tch. Why would I stop him?"

She waved dismissively.

"I'm fine. And if you've got ti to follow , maybe put that effort into finding Orochimaru instead—and give him a few good punches when you do."

Jiraiya stayed quiet a mont longer before speaking again.

"These kids behind you… are they the reason you didn't stop Chizumi?"

Tsunade's gaze dimd slightly.

"…Jiraiya, tell sothing. How evil do you think people can get?"

He paused. Scratched his chin.

"Evil grows with desire. There's probably a limit, but… the worst I've seen? It's probably Orochimaru."

Tsunade exhaled.

"Then you've underestimated just how deep this world's rot goes."

"Orochimaru's evil is selfish, arrogant, obvious. It makes you angry. It makes you want to punch him."

"But what Chizumi showed … it made feel sothing worse. Sothing darker. A kind of hatred that made want to burn the entire shinobi world down."

"It made realize… this world shouldn't be like this."

"It made it impossible for to look away."

Jiraiya was stunned.

And then Tsunade dropped the hamr.

"That night, Chizumi did kill hundreds of people."

"But I didn't stop him… because I followed him. And I killed nineteen."

"These kids… they were victims. I don't have a better place for them right now. I'm bringing them back to Konoha. Hopefully the old man will take them in."

"I can tell you the whole story later—but not in front of them. They've just barely forgotten."

"It was Chizumi who made them forget. He used his Sharingan genjutsu. He nearly passed out from pushing his eyes too far."

Jiraiya: "...?!"

This… this wasn't the Chizumi he had imagined.

And sohow, this kid had changed Tsunade's entire perspective…

In just one day.

anwhile — Fire Capital, Office of the Daimyo

News of a Konoha ninja murdering three people in public—two of them capital samurai—had already caused panic.

But now?

Now it was much worse.

"Wait… what do you an he killed fifty people?" the Fire Daimyo stamred.

His aide bowed, panicked and sweating.

"The ninja who killed the guards earlier—he invaded the Yuki Clan estate. When we arrived… he was covered in blood."

"There were over fifty dead. The clan head was decapitated. Only eleven people survived—mostly maids and gardeners."

The Daimyo's blood drained from his face.

The Yuki clan had existed since before Konoha was founded.

They had businesses all across the Land of Fire.

Even the Hokage had to show them so level of respect.

And now?

Wiped out.

Just like that.

Only a few maids and groundskeepers left.

This wasn't an incident. This was a ssage.

He gripped the arms of his chair, knuckles white.

Where are my Guardian Ninja? Asuma? Kazuma? Chiriku?

Where the hell are they!?

He suddenly stood.

"You! Find the guy I sent to announce the bounty. Tell him to raise it from ten million to—no, fifty million ryo! The Daimyo's estate will pay for it!"

His aide hesitated.

"Fifty… million?"

"YOU HEARD !"

He kicked the guy out the door.

As the aide stumbled out, the Daimyo's eldest son stepped in and blinked.

"Uh… Father? I heard a ninja killed three people in public. Is that why you're so upset?"

The Daimyo took a deep breath and said grimly:

"He didn't just kill three. That ninja has nearly wiped out the Yuki clan."

His son froze.

"...!"

Elsewhere in the capital…

Mitarashi Anko felt… nothing.

She'd gone completely numb.

At this point, she'd watched Uchiha Chizumi murder dozens—maybe hundreds—of people without hesitation. Nobles, samurai, thugs, shinobi… none of it seed to register with him.

To Chizumi, they were just nas on a list. Evil to be erased.

And when she saw him butcher the entire Yuki clan—a noble family with more than fifty mbers, all reduced to corpses except for a few terrified maids and gardeners—she knew:

There was no talking him down.

She didn't even want to imagine how many more people he was going to kill by the end of the day just to fulfill whatever he considered "Absolute Justice."

And what disturbed her the most—

No one was stopping him.

No one was even trying.

Where were the Twelve Guardian Ninja? Wasn't Sarutobi Asuma, the Hokage's son, one of them?

Why had they suddenly vanished?

Just as her thoughts were spiraling, Jujiro looked up at Chizumi and casually asked:

"Chizumi-sama, should we ask soone where the Daimyo's estate is?"

Anko's brain short-circuited.

"…Excuse ???"

Wait—wait—wait.

The Daimyo?

That talking ninja cat wasn't referring to so random landlord. He was talking about the Fire Daimyo. The head of the entire country.

Chizumi replied in his usual calm voice, "No need to rush. I didn't co all this way just to kill a single Daimyo and leave. The corruption here runs deeper than that."

"From what I see, this entire capital is a breeding ground for evil."

"Especially those so-called nobles. Born into privilege, they grow up thinking they're above the law. And they're right—the law protects them. Shields them. Enables them."

"They commit cris as if it's a daily routine. They look down on commoners like they're a lower species."

"And as long as these people rule unchecked, the shinobi world will never be clean."

His voice wasn't loud—but to Anko, it sounded like a series of explosive tags going off in her brain.

And one phrase echoed louder than the rest:

"Kill the Daimyo."

She was drenched in cold sweat.

And suddenly, it all made sense.

That "one thing" Chizumi said he ca to the capital to do?

It wasn't just an assassination.

No.

He was going to openly execute the Daimyo.

He didn't see the Daimyo as untouchable.

He didn't see anyone as untouchable.

"ow~ You were his classmate once, weren't you?" Jujiro said to Anko. "Surely you know by now—Chizumi-sama doesn't believe in 'people above people.'"

Anko felt like she'd been struck by lightning.

"…No one above justice…" she whispered, repeating the words to herself.

anwhile — Fire Capital's busiest district

A squad of samurai guards pushed through a crowd, ignoring the noise and complaints around them. They reached a public bulletin board, tore down old announcents, and slapped up a fresh set of posters.

Then they darted off, heading to the next street. Each carried a fat stack of identical docunts.

From the looks of it, they wouldn't be done posting them until dawn.

Curious civilians gathered quickly. So squinted at the new poster.

"Wait… is this a—"

"A wanted poster? For a ninja?"

"Hold on… it's got the Daimyo's seal!"

The crowd went silent.

Then a single voice gasped:

"FIFTY MILLION RYO?!"

And suddenly the plaza exploded with voices.

Even experienced shinobi among the crowd were stunned.

"That kind of bounty… that's Kage-level money," one ninja muttered, adjusting his Konoha headband.

He studied the poster.

The details were… minimal.

Na: Unknown

Age: Unknown

Gender: Male

Strength: Unknown

Accomplices: A talking cat and a short-haired kunoichi

Cris:

Murdered two law enforcent samurai in broad daylight

Killed a civilian without laying a finger on him

And…

He blinked.

"…Massacred dozens of nobles."

The shinobi recoiled instinctively, sucking in a sharp breath.

"Who the hell is this guy…?"

But as he stared at the crude sketch…

Sothing about it felt… familiar.

Too familiar.

Was it just his imagination?

Or had he seen this so-called unknown ninja before?
