At this mont, Obito had no mind to worry about the Akatsuki at all. Even Black Zetsu himself wasn't particularly concerned about Akatsuki right now. Instead, he stared intently at Obito, who was trying to establish a connection with that giant Tenseigan.

"What about it? What about it?"

"Can you activate the strongest technique within this Tenseigan?"

Black Zetsu looked at Obito eagerly, his eyes filled with anticipation. Compared to the Eye of the Moon Plan, he clearly preferred the Tenseigan's straightforward brutality. If they could just use the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion to split the moon in half, why bother with all the extra complications?

"I can borrow a bit of the Tenseigan's chakra, but it's not like what you said. The amount I can draw is very limited."

Obito's expression wasn't good. He had indeed managed to establish so connection with the Tenseigan. After all, the Uchiha clan descended from Indra Ōtsutsuki, and going further back, from the Sage of Six Paths, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo—who was the brother of Ōtsutsuki Hamura.

That lineage allowed Obito to barely mobilize so of the Tenseigan's power. But the amount he could use was even less than Neji, let alone the overwhelming power Black Zetsu had described—enough to sweep across the entire ninja world.

What Obito didn't tell Black Zetsu, however, was that as the Tenseigan's chakra flowed into his body, the depleted ocular power of his Sharingan was being replenished in a different way.

If he could possess this giant Tenseigan for a long ti, then with the influence of his transplanted Wood Release and the Tenseigan itself, it was even possible that his Mangekyō Sharingan could evolve into an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

However, Obito had a premonition—if he wanted to rely on the Tenseigan's power to achieve that transformation, the ti required would be extrely long. So long that it could rival the ti it took Madara to awaken the Rinnegan.

"So… it requires the bloodline of the Hyūga clan…"

After hearing Obito's explanation, the disappointnt in Black Zetsu's eyes was visible to the naked eye. Although he had considered the possibility that the Tenseigan required the bloodline of Ōtsutsuki Hamura to function, he had still held onto a sliver of hope.

Now, that hope was completely shattered.

'Perhaps… we could try looking for survivors of the Kaguya clan?'

'I rember that aside from branching into the Byakugan clan, Hamura's bloodline also produced a lineage with Shikotsumyaku.'

'But that clan seems to have gone extinct in Kirigakure…'

As Black Zetsu realized that the Tenseigan required Hamura's bloodline to operate, he couldn't help but think of the long-vanished Kaguya clan.

'If we can find a mber of that clan and have them activate this Tenseigan, maybe we could unleash its true power.'

'Yakushi Kabuto once said that Orochimaru had once found a mber of the Kaguya clan.'

'And that person's bloodline had regressed so far toward its origin that even his own body couldn't withstand its power.'

At this mont, all sorts of thoughts flashed through Black Zetsu's mind. Once he confird that Obito couldn't control the Tenseigan, he had already begun considering alternatives.

And instinctively, what ca to mind was a strategy similar to what he had used with Nagato—a roundabout approach. Back then, he had given the Rinnegan to the Uzumaki clan to use. Now, he could do the sa—hand the Tenseigan to the Kaguya clan!

"What a pity…"

Although Black Zetsu already had a plan in mind, his face still showed regret, as if he genuinely felt sorry that Obito couldn't wield the Tenseigan.

"It's not really a pity. At least it weakened Konoha's strength, didn't it?"

"That little girl from the Hyūga clan has already awakened her own Tenseigan thanks to it. If she keeps holding onto that giant Tenseigan, who knows when that girl—Hyūga Hinata—might fully awaken hers!"

"The Three-Tails will be revived soon. Any chance to weaken Konoha is worth taking!"

Although Obito was sowhat disappointed, he still tried to comfort Black Zetsu.

In Obito's view, Black Zetsu was rely the manifestation of Madara's will. Even if Madara had lived for a long ti, he was still just an Uchiha—how could he possibly understand the Hyūga clan's secrets so well?

Besides, obtaining this Tenseigan wasn't without benefits for him. Naturally, Obito wanted to reassure him.

It could only be said that with Obito's level of intelligence, the day Black Zetsu sold him out, he'd probably still say thank you…

"This Tenseigan isn't necessarily useless!"

Seeing Obito's foolish expression, Black Zetsu felt that revealing the secrets of the Hyūga and Kaguya clans to him wasn't a big deal. After all, it was uncertain how many mbers of the Kaguya clan were even still alive.

After Black Zetsu explained his plan to find a Kaguya clan mber and have them wield the Tenseigan, Obito only hesitated for a mont before agreeing.

"Akatsuki lacks soone truly on our side!"

"If we can find that Shikotsumyaku user, we'll let him familiarize himself with the Tenseigan's power first. Once he experiences that kind of strength, he'll naturally be willing to serve us!"

"And once he joins Akatsuki, he can act as a hidden thorn planted within the organization!"

Obito's mind raced. He felt that his intelligence had been improving by leaps and bounds lately. Even if he couldn't use the Tenseigan himself, he could still use it to achieve many other goals.

"That's indeed a good idea."

Inside the cave, Black Zetsu and Obito let out sinister laughter. At this mont, even Black Zetsu had to admit that while Obito might not be particularly smart, he did have a certain talent when it ca to scheming.

anwhile, news of Ōnoki's death and the Akatsuki began to spread.

Even in the remote Land of Water, as the number of rchants increased, the Mizukage Terumī i received news that Iwagakure had nearly been destroyed by Akatsuki.

"Should we participate in this Five Kage Summit?"

i looked at the elder Genji beside her, unsure of what to do.

Although the Land of Water still appeared to be one of the Five Great Nations, with Konoha's jōnin stationed there and security forces being established across the country, her authority as Mizukage was steadily declining.

Moreover, the Land of Water was now essentially tied to Keizumi—or rather, had beco his subordinate. i couldn't help but wonder whether it would be more appropriate for her or for him to attend the summit.

"Send the information to Keizumi-sama."

"Our Kirigakure has suffered significant losses. Even though we are working hard to rebuild, it will take at least ten years to restore our strength to what it was before his arrival."

"Under these circumstances, it's better for us not to get involved in the Five Kage Summit."

After so thought, Elder Genji concluded that when the sky falls, the tall ones should bear it—and unfortunately for them, the "tall one" of Kirigakure was currently in Konoha.
