Chapter 936: Chapter 23: Eastern Azure Dragon

Xiao Jie listened, slightly frowning, “Mr. Yuan, could you translate this for ? What is the aning of ‘[Zi Kui, Lou regions in line with the Purple Palace]’? And what does ‘[Passing the Western celestial lodges of Mao and Bi]’ signify?”

Xiao Jie wasn’t entirely clueless; he roughly understood that this passage was describing the trajectory of the Demon Star when it descended and flew across the sky. However, he lacked a solid grasp of celestial phenona, especially in this ga world where the celestial configurations might differ from those of ancient China.

Explaining such matters required the expertise of a professional.

Yuan Tianke nodded slightly, “Haha, of course, follow .”

The two of them walked out of the Guardian Room to the courtyard. Yuan Tianke pointed at the many constellations in the sky and explained them to Xiao Jie one by one.

Xiao Jie stood behind Yuan Tianke, trying hard to match the constellations Yuan Tianke pointed out with his explanations, and finally gained a rough understanding.

When the Demon Star descended, it flew slightly westward over Xiaofeng City, then plumted in the direction of Canglin State.

Xiao Jie opened the ga map and began searching. The landing point of the Demon Star was the Demon Star Tower, located to the south of Fengyin State.

Xiao Jie drew a circle with his pen around the Demon Star Tower and then traced a line all the way back to Xiaofeng City. He drew a short line slightly west of Xiaofeng City, marking the airspace the Demon Star traversed along this distance.

Then, using the Demon Star as the starting point, Xiao Jie extended two long lines crossing the short line, stretching them northward.

This ford a narrow fan-shaped area, indicating that Gu Yun State must be northward within this fan-shaped area.

Although the region was narrowed, the range was still vast; the further north, the larger the fan-shaped area expanded, making it necessary to further narrow it down to facilitate the search.

Xiao Jie glanced over the fan-shaped area, and an idea struck him. The state mansion of Beiming State, Chuyun City, was within this range. Chuyun City likely had an observatory and similar records. By consolidating this information, they could more accurately determine the descent trajectory of the Demon Star.

“Thank you, Master Yuan, for clarifying my doubts. I still have urgent matters to attend to, so I will take my leave. I’ll treat you to a drink another day.”

Despite the fall of night, it didn’t dampen Xiao Jie’s enthusiasm for uncovering the ga’s secrets.

He promptly assud the form of a Storm Thunder Eagle, soaring skyward toward Beiming State. Yuan Tianke, watching Xiao Jie vanish into the pitch-black night, rely shook his head slightly before returning to the Guardian Room to read.

By now, the sky was completely dark. Xiao Jie soared through the night sky with darkness sprawling beneath.

The Storm Thunder Eagle’s prototype was the Gray Eagle. While its dayti vision was excellent, at night, it beca nearly blind, unable to see anything on the ground.

In the ga’s wilderness at night, there were no people, nor was there much light, only starlight and moonlight. Looking down at the ground, one could only make out vague silhouettes.

Fortunately, it was possible to navigate using the ga map, preventing complete disorientation.

After flying northward for over two hours, Beiming State’s state mansion, Chuyun City, finally entered Xiao Jie’s line of sight.

In the ga Old Soil, there was an incredibly realistic weather system. The various weather conditions differed depending on the map’s region.

Located in the north, Chuyun City sotis experienced a special weather phenonon called Ice Fog. When it appeared, the entire city would be shrouded in pervasive white mist. From the sky, only the tallest buildings protruded, making the entire city seem like it was nestled among the clouds, ethereal and exceedingly beautiful, hence the na Chuyun.

However, at this ti, the sky was dark, and Xiao Jie witnessed a different scene.

“Kill! Charge!”

Shouts of slaughter pierced the heavens. Outside Chuyun City, countless soldiers charged toward the city gates and walls, their lanterns illuminating the night. At the forefront were hundreds of Heavy Armor Hamr Soldiers, clad in heavy armor and wielding iron hamrs, pounding furiously at the city gate in a chaotic lee.

So even started dismantling the walls.

In reality, such tactics might seem rather absurd, but this was a ga. These Iron Armor Warhamr Soldiers were a distinctive troop type of Longhua State, specialized in siege damage. Hence, their ability to dismantle city walls was indeed formidable.

As they pounded the walls relentlessly, the wall’s durability quickly diminished.

Given enough ti, they might actually tear down the walls.

However, the players and soldiers on the wall had long been poised to defend, with arrows raining down incessantly, felling NPC siege soldiers in droves.

There were also Thunder Masters summoning bolts of lightning to strike. The Iron Armor Warhamr Soldiers, though highly resistant to arrows, were completely countered by the lightning strikes. A few bolts of Heavenly Thunder brought down a swath of them.

Xiao Jie observed intently, noting the flag bearers among the soldiers, whose banners clearly displayed the Black Dragon Flag of the Ritian Kingdom.

Xiao Jie was sowhat surprised, not expecting the Ritian Kingdom to launch a direct assault on Chuyun City.

But why were there only NPC soldiers? Where were the players?

Circling in the pitch-black night, he soon located the players’ position. Among the shadows of the forest outside the city, nurous knights’ silhouettes could be spotted.

They were players!

It seed those NPC soldiers were rely cannon fodder for reconnaissance; was the Ritian Kingdom attempting a forceful siege?

Such a frontal assault could lead to heavy casualties, inevitably resulting in a major battle.

Xiao Jie felt a twinge of hesitation. He had already inford Long Xingtianxia that he would not engage in conflicts between the two countries. Yet, having stumbled upon this, could he really just stand by and watch?
