However, after taking a tour around, Xiao Buli was truly amazed in his heart. The surrounding walls of the highland were obviously designed to fend off fierce beasts, and the scene inside was a sight to behold. The village built by these people was extraordinarily beautiful. As the local climate was rather hot and humid, it was conducive to plant growth. Dense greenery was visible everywhere, with large patches of exotic flowers and strange herbs. They had diverted a river from the rainforest, digging a trench on the desert side. The water flowed into the trench and unexpectedly created a beach, resembling a vacation resort. The river was crystal clear, and there were plenty of villagers leisurely enjoying themselves on the sandy beach. Owing to the clear division of the rainforest and the desert on this map, a bizarre yet picturesque scene had ford—a beach with a dense forest. These people sunbathed on the beach, and if they got hot, they dashed to the shade under the trees on the jungle side, lying on wooden rocking chairs, sipping coconut juice through straws, and munching on fruits and ats collected from the rainforest. They all seed to be enjoying life to the fullest.

Xiao Buli strolled around the village twice, imdiately becoming infected with the relaxed atmosphere. Laying on a bench by the river and sipping coconut juice, Xiao Buli suddenly felt that sothing was out of place. If he rembered correctly, wasn't the setting of this ga supposed to be based on ancient Chinese immortal heroes? Why did everything before his eyes seem more like a Hawaiian beach?

"Hey, this place is really beautiful, huh?" Xiao Buli couldn't help but speak to the NPC who had been accompanying him.

Upon hearing this, the NPC revealed a smile. Xiao Buli sat beside him when suddenly it felt as if he had been electrocuted. Just now, the NPC's smile had seed eerily familiar to him, but that feeling was fleeting. In the blink of an eye, the NPC, with a face full of hair, transford back into the simple and good-natured uncle with a voice that was an octave too high.

"Haha, as one of the founders here, I really love the scenery," the uncle said cheerily to Xiao Buli. But it was his gaze and his gestures that Xiao Buli suddenly found exceedingly familiar.

"So you're the village head?" Xiao Buli asked, his eyes fixating on a badge on the village head's chest which had turned sowhat blurry from age.

"Of course, everything in this village was built by ," he said.

"Could you please tell your story?" Xiao Buli set down his coconut, a thought gradually forming in his mind.

"Certainly, it was a very, very long ti ago. We, the Green Dragon Adventure Group, set off to find the legendary Pangu's Tomb. To cross the entire Barbaric Wastelands, we sacrificed more than a dozen teammates. Eventually, we arrived here, but an endless desert blocked our path. By then, only a few of us remained. If we were to enter the desert, we'd face certain doom, yet the thought of going back through the other side of the Barbarian Wilderness left us courageless. In the end, with no choice left, we decided to settle here. We dug rivers, built houses, and constructed defensive walls, which granted us temporary peace..." The village head rambled on with a long-winded recount of his experience, but Xiao Buli was no longer interested in listening. He observed the surrounding NPCs, each of whom wore a content smile on their faces.

He hadn't noticed before, but as he looked closer, he began to see the shadows of the original Green Dragon Group in them. Wu Tao, who was always in the front line as a tank in dungeons, was now dressed in a plain blue robe and a large bamboo hat, the garb of an old farr, tending to flowers planted to beautify the environnt. He was now an elite NPC with a blue na.

Zhang Hao, originally from the White Tiger Division, had beco what he was now because of the company rging two groups. Had he not convinced everyone to rebel with him or joined the Azure Dragon Division, maybe he would have never ended up like this. There he was, lying on a lounger in the shade, holding a large coconut, his figure distorted by excess weight. If not for Xiao Buli's careful scrutiny, nobody would have recognized him as the once weak and somber Yin Yang Sorcerer. Now, he wore a blissful smile, looking at Hua Yueying beside him, who had also put on weight. It seed they had beco a couple, most likely just because the system wanted them to be together. Now one bearing a deep blue na and the other a silver one, their current fighting prowess was probably not as formidable as it was when they reached these levels.

No wonder they had made it through the Barbaric Forest, for they had already been a group with significant fighting ability. Unfortunately, they were unable to escape the fate of becoming NPCs. Perhaps when they had initially stepped into this forest, they carried with them endless hope—hope to eventually find the Temple, to call back the wavering spirits to clarity.

Yaoyao, Wu Tao, Yi Lian... Xiao Buli recognized these people one by one. Suddenly, an entirely unfamiliar woman caught his eye. She was petite and stood out starkly compared to the slightly overweight life-loving mbers of the Azure Dragon Group, cheerfully bustling about to fetch things for everyone, preparing food.
