"For instance?" Shaobang loved to chi in, so he was the first to type and ask.
"Hallucinations?" Han Wenhuan was the second to type.
"Han Wenhuan, can you stop saying we're hallucinating?" Everyone was sitting together in the lobby downstairs to go online, so as soon as they saw Han Wenhuan ntion hallucinations in front of Xiao Buli, Gu Shaobang, Xiao Ge, and Xie Tiankong all voiced their complaints in unison.
"You've experienced it too?" Xiao Buli didn't know the situation in front of the computer, but hearing Han Wenhuan say such a thing, he felt a shock in his heart, fearing the worst had still happened.
"I haven't, but Shaobang, Xie Tiankong, and Xiao Ge all have." No matter how reluctant everyone was, Han Wenhuan still typed it out. His concerns seed to have co true. Gu Shaobang was the first to experience it, as Han Wenhuan had seen him talk to thin air with spit flying everywhere, but because Gu Shaobang tended to be active and occasionally enjoyed rapping along to music, Han Wenhuan didn't take it seriously. Then it was Xie Tiankong. Xie Tiankong was usually quiet and said little. At first, Han Wenhuan thought Xie Tiankong's face was becoming increasingly sullen, and he often isolated himself, sotis looking as if soone at his side was speaking and annoying him.
As the one amongst them with the strongest leadership personality, Han Wenhuan had heart-to-heart talks with them a few tis. Nevertheless, both insisted that soone was living inside them. Xie Tiankong said the voice inside was rather talkative and annoying, but Gu Shaobang was more optimistic. He felt the person inside him was like a twin with whom he got along very well.
This made everyone present click their tongues in wonder. The original plan was to wait for Xiao Buli to ask if it had anything to do with the ga, but as Xiao Buli was late in arriving, Xiao Ge also started showing the sa symptoms.
This convinced everyone that the hallucinations must be directly related to the ga. However, they were unsure why, whether it was sothing unintentionally implanted by the ga or a side effect of the ga.
For this reason, the three visited a well-known local hospital's ntal health departnt for an examination. After a thorough check-up, they received a diagnosis of neurasthenia and were prescribed so dications. Gu Shaobang, happy to have constant companionship, refused to take the dicine. Xie Tiankong, on the other hand, was eager to get rid of the noisy voice and thus took the dicine alongside Xiao Ge for a while. Surprisingly, it worked sowhat, but the side effect was that both started sleeping more and their reflexes slowed. A few tis in the ga, they nearly faced danger, leading them to discontinue the dication.
However, Han Wenhuan kept a close watch on the three, thankfully apart from talking to them, their second personalities hadn't done anything extre. Without any solution in mind, that was how things stood.
After listening to the various discussions, Xiao Buli understood the whole story.
"They call it Soul Departure Syndro, a problem that gars deep in the ga and with enhanced abilities will encounter. Fortunately, you are only at the initial stage. Generally, at this ti, the voice is harmless, but as your abilities increase, the power of that voice will also grow and eventually take over our bodies. Therefore, before that happens, we need to find a way to completely drive that voice out of our bodies," Xiao Buli explained.
"Where does this thing co from? How do we get rid of it?" Xie Tiankong, who usually disliked talking too much, asked.
"We are still unclear about what this voice really is. So call it a Heart Demon, but getting rid of it is extrely difficult. That's what I've been striving for this whole ti. I hope to find a solution before you suffer any harm from it." Xiao Buli proceeded to share with everyone the various things that had happened during this ti, how he entered the base, and his encounters with Xuan Zhenzi in the ga. Luckily, he was speaking rather than typing, or he'd have probably ended up with cramped hands given how much there was to share. However, he did not tell everyone that his Heart Demon had left him; making them believe he was in the sa boat as them seed the best way to ensure they trusted he would strive to resolve their Heart Demons.
"So you're saying, you have to go to the Barbaric Wastelands?" Han Wenhuan once again grasped the crux of the matter.
"That's right, this trip might take a long ti. No one knows just how vast the Barbaric Wastelands are. But thankfully, now I have a mount. Riding the Immortal Crane should save a lot of effort," Xiao Buli said lightly, not wanting everyone to worry too much. "However, during this ti, I hope you all stay away from the ga. Otherwise, it's very likely that the formation of the Heart Demon will accelerate. I believe the reason why Han Wenhuan hasn't developed a Heart Demon is probably because he primarily focuses on commanding, leading troops, so his personal skills advance more slowly."
Everyone fell silent. They had all left their lives behind to enter the deadly ga with Xiao Buli, harboring the sa sentint—to live life passionately. Now the ga they thought would be their career for the second half of their lives was wrought with such issues, leaving them without direction for a mont.
It was like straining hard in the bathroom only to end up with a fart that didn't even sll.
"I know, this is sothing very difficult to accept. Whether my journey will be good or bad is uncertain, as is whether I can find a solution. I brought you all into this ga, and I hope I can ensure you all return ho safely. Shaobang..." Xiao Buli began. He and Gu Shaobang were the closest of friends, with Gu Shaobang being the first to join the ga. Therefore, Xiao Buli hoped Gu Shaobang would speak up for him, anything to avoid the awkwardness of the current silence.
