Upon swallowing the mouse, the giant python's body suddenly beca completely different: a flash of golden light shimred, and a fla light flickered between the scales of the lava giant python. It seed as if lava were flowing inside its body, and its eyes changed from the original black to a golden yellow hue.

The golden eagle montarily lost its target, and then it charged toward the giant python. Just as its claws were about to reach the python's eyes, the giant python opened its mouth wide and spewed a stream of lava mixed with fiery light directly at the golden eagle. Normally, the lava alone wouldn't have been an issue, but as previously ntioned, this space had an enhancing effect on fire elents. The fiery light was even more intense than before, and with a whoosh, a fierce blaze engulfed the golden eagle.

With a shrill scream, the golden eagle flailed, and Jingci, without hesitating and entangled with Xiao Buli, feinted with his sword and rushed toward the golden eagle. Jingci always had a special affection for pets, and catching the Golden Eagle King had not been easy. How could he let it die so easily? Seeing the eagle injured, he imdiately ca to its rescue, but with the eagle covered in firelight and himself lacking water spells to extinguish the fire, he stood on the spot in desperation, watching the golden eagle fall to the ground, writhing with flas.

The lava giant python, having severely wounded the golden eagle, seed to let out a malicious glee, its body pulsating, and its fla-like tongue constantly flicking in and out, as if boasting of its victory.

Seeing no imdiate way to save the golden eagle, Jingci, furious, lifted his treasure sword to slay the giant python.

Behind him, Xiao Buli suddenly had a stroke of inspiration, "Quick, retract the sealed space."

Jingci paused for a mont upon hearing this, then realized that the sealed space had healing capabilities. Although the golden eagle was covered in firelight, it wasn't dead yet. There still was a glimr of hope if it was taken back into the space now. Blinded by anger, he hadn't thought of this before. He imdiately turned his thoughts, and took back the golden eagle.

Affected by the lava giant python's lava shot, the golden eagle's body caught fire. Thanks to Xiao Buli's reminder, Jingci promptly recalled the golden eagle into the sealed space, narrowly avoiding the loss of his beloved pet.

The two n and the python stood their ground, and for a mont, none had the intention to fight. Jingci, being honest in nature and just saved by Xiao Buli from losing the golden eagle, didn't feel right about starting a fight with Xiao Buli imdiately, so he turned back to look at the lava giant python and beca excited.

"Junior brother, did you catch this giant python in the Immortal Realm? How does it spit fire?" Jingci's knowledge of pets was extensive, and this question was really just a change of subject.

Seeing an opportunity, Xiao Buli quickly went along with it, "Yeah, I'm also surprised. Logically speaking, it should have lost the ability to spit fire after leaving the Lava Cave." Xiao Buli looked around but saw no sign of the Stone-tooth Rat, "It looks like it ate the Stone-tooth Rat."

"Stone-tooth Rat?" Jingci pondered for a mont, then suddenly realized, "I got it. The reason they're called lava giant pythons is that their fire elent skills are based on the presence of lava or fierce fire. Stone-tooth Rats feed on fire spirit stones. It seems that after the python ate the Stone-tooth Rat, its body replenished with fire elentals, allowing it to recover its fire-spitting ability in a short ti." Jingci quickly offered the most likely answer.

"Perhaps." Xiao Buli wasn't primarily concerned with this issue at the mont, "Second senior brother, aren't we fighting anymore?"

Jingci turned to look at Xiao Buli but suddenly shifted the topic, "Can you tell what exactly is going on with master? You said he was training us to be his tools for soul possession. What do you an by that?"

Xiao Buli, delighted to see that Jingci was willing to listen, knew it was best not to fight. He put away the giant python, and the two sat down cross-legged in the space. Xiao Buli then explained everything about Xuanxu Zi, with Jingci nodding frequently as he listened.

"Sigh." After listening to Xiao Buli's account, Jingci sighed deeply, "I didn't expect the situation to have such a background. But Xuanxu Zi has been my master after all. Since we're deeply trapped in the Two-Yi Formation, getting anxious is pointless. Just leave it to his fate."

For the next while, the two talked about pets. Xiao Buli told Jingci about his recent experiences in the Immortal Realm, which amazed Jingci endlessly. He hadn't expected Xiao Buli to have so many encounters in just one day. While they were in the midst of their enjoyable conversation, suddenly the bright white light dissipated, and Mystic Hollow Palace once more appeared before them.

Xuan Zhenzi, dressed in a dark azure robe, stood before everyone. His face had returned to normal, indicating he had overco the Heart Demon's soul possessed by Xuanxu Zi. Qingfeng Mingyue stood by Xuan Zhenzi's side and seeing the four reappear, bowed and said, "It was a matter of great urgency, please forgive us." This was, presumably, about the trapping of the four in the formation.

Ji Xiangyun had already halted the tale from their eldest brother earlier in the formation. Although she still found the bizarre story about the master being a Heart Demon hard to accept, after the recent events and the attitudes shown by Qingfeng Mingyue and their eldest brother, she realized that the matter was highly likely true. Moreover, she wasn't foolish. Her master had already put her on the list of candidates for soul possession; why would she take rash action for such a person? So, when the four erged unhard, none were too surprised.

"What do we do now?" Ji Xiangyun, always straightforward, broke the silence as they awkwardly stood there, "Mr. Xuan Zhen, are you staying in Mystic Hollow Palace?"
