Xuanxu Zi led Xiao Buli back the way they ca, and with a flash of white light from the teleportation array of Immortal Beast Island, the two once again appeared inside a side hall of Mystic Hollow Palace.

Looking at the familiar surroundings, Xiao Buli couldn't help but take a deep breath. The string of good fortune in the Immortal Realm had gradually relaxed him, but now that he was back in Mystic Hollow Palace, his spirit tensed up again.

He had not forgotten his task, nor had he forgotten the matters plotted by his eldest senior brother.

But to be honest, he still had so aversion to the idea of scheming against his master. After all, they did share a master-disciple relationship. Although Xuanxu Zi was eccentric, he had been quite passable towards him. Especially the ti before in the Immortal Realm when Xuanxu Zi had saved him during a mont of peril, Xiao Buli couldn't help but look towards Xuanxu Zi.

All he saw was the old man with a hint of exhaustion between his brows; it was unclear whether it was due to too much expenditure of power while touring the Immortal Realm, or simply the result of his body being overly aged. Regardless, Xiao Buli knew that now he was like an arrow on the bowstring that had to be released; otherwise, not only would Gu Yuexuan be in mortal danger, but the answer to curing Soul Departure Syndro that he had been desperately seeking would also beco an unknown with the passing of Xuan Zhenzi. Thinking this, Xiao Buli gritted his teeth and bowed to Xuanxu Zi, saying, "Thank you, Master, for accompanying this disciple on this journey. I obtained so opportunities in the Immortal Realm, and I will find a secluded place to study them thoroughly. Does Master have any other orders?"

After Xiao Buli's intervention, Xuanxu Zi seed to have lost interest in checking on Gu Yuexuan's matters. Hearing Xiao Buli speak like that, he just shook his head and slowly walked back to the lotus throne in the main hall to ditate and rest.

Xiao Buli, seeing this, did not disturb him and hurriedly rushed outside. Once out of the main hall, he headed straight for his eldest senior brother's residence. He hadn't gone far before suddenly hearing the Heart Demon's voice in his ear; at such a tense mont, the sudden sound really startled Xiao Buli.

"In such a hurry? Do you think by killing Xuanxu Zi you'll find a way to get rid of ? Naive!" the Heart Demon's voice tried to sound indifferent. But Xiao Buli knew that if it weren't truly afraid, it wouldn't be so eager to shake his confidence.

He snorted coldly in his mind and ignored it.

"Don't you even believe in yourself? Even if you're sure Avatar Shadow Transformation can separate , do you know how much pain you'll have to endure? Soul-splitting, do you have any idea what kind of tornt that is?" The Heart Demon apparently wasn't giving up, continuing to speak, "But I'm rather looking forward to it, actually. After your soul splits, your abilities will be much smaller than they are now. Look at Xuanxu Zi, hehehe, leaving you might not be such a bad thing after all. From what I've seen so far, by the ti I might even surpass Xuanxu Zi's achievents, and you won't be able to defeat then. Won't you still be slowly devoured by ? Why struggle in vain?"

"Enough, cut the crap," Xiao Buli said, his tone very unfriendly. He was currently worried about the progress on his eldest senior brother's side.

"Haha, resorting to curses? Seems like your cultivation is truly lacking. I wonder if you'll be able to remain composed like Xuan Zhen and even know how to assign tasks to others to help collect spirit energy," the Heart Demon's voice contained scorn, provoking Xiao Buli's inner irritation. But knowing that this was exactly the effect the Heart Demon was aiming for, he took a deep breath and slowly cald himself, "You're so eager to disturb now, are you scared? If so, I suggest you get the hell out of my body right now, and maybe I'll be gracious enough to arrange for a rather decent body for you. But if I have to do it myself, I'll make sure you're eradicated." Xiao Buli said the last few words through gritted teeth, nacingly.

"Junior brother, who are you talking to?" Jingci's voice suddenly sounded nearby, and it turned out Xiao Buli had walked near the Beast Pen without realizing it.

"Oh, second senior brother, it's nothing, haha, just talking to myself. Second senior brother, have you acquired any new Divine Beasts lately?" Xiao Buli hastily changed the subject, not wanting Jingci to probe further.

Sure enough, upon hearing the topic of Divine Beasts, Jingci's eyes lit up, "We've just t a few days ago, where would I get the chance to find those fine creatures in such a short ti? But I did hear that junior brother was fortunate enough to tour the Immortal Realm with Master, did you capture any formidable Immortal Beasts?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Buli thought to himself that if it were any other ti, he would indeed boast, but today was urgent, with plans to set things in motion with his eldest senior brother in a day or two. Therefore, the business at hand was top priority. With that in mind, he replied to his second senior brother, "Heh, you're not unaware of my trivial abilities, second senior brother. Let's not talk about Immortal Beasts; if I were in the Human Realm facing formidable foes, I'd have to steer clear of them too. You, on the other hand, second senior brother, are so mighty. However, I happen to have learned so flying sword techniques in the Immortal Realm, and I'm in a hurry to consult our eldest senior brother about that."

His words sounded reasonable, and Jingci thought so too, but he wasn't very optimistic about Xiao Buli seeking advice from their eldest senior brother, "Eldest senior brother, I'm afraid he might not be so easy to speak with, best of luck to you."

Xiao Buli quickly bid farewell to Jingci, only then arriving at the eldest senior brother's residence. Approaching the bamboo building, Xiao Buli thought there might be hope, noticing that the seals the eldest senior brother had set up outside to avoid disturbances had been removed, and the bamboo building had returned to its original state, seemingly tranquil and surrounded by the sounds and fragrances of nature.
