"Are you sure these are what you need?" Lu Xinying looked doubtfully at a tent and a computer on the ground.
"Yes, these are exactly what I need," Xiao Buli said with a serious nod.
"Well, this is the contract."
Qin Shimoon's face was cold as she tossed a scroll to Xiao Buli. Xiao Buli examined it, finding the scroll quite peculiar. The text on it was blood-red, giving off a very strange feeling. He glanced at Wu Min'er for confirmation, and she nodded slightly.
"Yes, this is the Soul Contract," Wu Min'er said. "Many people in this organization, including scientists, have signed this contract. I've witnessed its power myself. As long as the conditions are t, the contract will take effect, and any horrific fate written on it will truly befall the signee. The holder of the contract can also issue any order to the person who signed it, and they have no room to resist."
This was indeed convenient, Xiao Buli thought. He read over the contents of the contract, which were quite straightforward. Xiao Buli realized that was the case and was sowhat disappointed as he looked at the icy Qin Shimoon, thinking he probably wouldn't have another chance to issue any orders to this ice queen beauty after leaving.

"Agreed," General Huo said, seemingly prepared for this. When the door opened, another scroll was brought in.
Wu Min'er snatched the scroll and examined it closely. Suddenly, a relieved expression appeared on her face. She pulled out a lighter and set the scroll on fire. As the flas consud the scroll, the red glowing text on it dimd and faded away.
"Congratulations," Xiao Buli said.
"Thank you!" Wu Min'er said gratefully, but Xiao Buli shook his head, "You should thank Lu. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have co."
Wu Min'er looked at Lu Xinying with a complex expression and nodded, "Let's get this over with quickly."
Transferring the Energy Core was not difficult. Xiao Buli opened the computer in the tent and logged into the ga. His character was still in the underground dungeon in the mountains. These players were from the sa guild, nad the Ancestral Dragon.
The Energy Core was quickly traded into Xiao Buli's hands. He bid farewell and left, finding a desolate mountain to transfer the Energy Core into a ring, while simultaneously moving the firearms into his ga inventory. Only then did he log out of the ga.
Taking the Energy Core out from the space within the ring, Xiao Buli felt mixed emotions. To be honest, he didn't think he was making a wise decision. It was clear that once the mystical organization known as the Ancestral Dragon obtained the teleportation technology, the power they would gain from the ga would increase exponentially. Together with their real-world power, it would likely beco impossible for any governnt or major guild in the ga world to confront them.
If General Huo was an ambitious man, he might well use the ga to dominate the world. But at that mont, Xiao Buli had no other choice. He didn't have the conviction to sacrifice his life to stop an ambitious man from conquering the world.
Moreover, even if it was an ambitious man, it was a Chinese ambitious man. If General Huo could indeed conquer the world or do sothing similar, Xiao Buli felt it might not be such a bad thing. So, although making this deal gave him so unease, it didn't stop him from going through with it.
Xiao Buli pushed open the tent and walked out.
When Xiao Buli took out the Energy Core, which emitted a white glow, Qin Shimoon's eyes widened with shock, "How did you do that?" Xiao Buli shook his head, "You don't need to worry about that, let's complete our deal."
As the four of them walked out, the soldiers outside were still on guard. General Huo did not show himself but only his upper body was revealed on a computer screen. His eyes imdiately lit up with frenzy at the sight of the white Energy Core in Xiao Buli's hand.
"So this is the Energy Core? The essential item to operate the Six Realms Gate! Heh heh, it looks pretty much the sa as in the ga—hand it over to now."
Xiao Buli snorted coldly and said, "Hey, do you think I'm stupid? Let us leave, and then I'll give it to you, otherwise I'll blow it up with a Palm Thunder."
General Huo's expression was stern, "Don't test my patience. I always keep my word, and don't forget, Colonel Qin is still in your hands. On the other hand, if I let you go, what's to stop you from running away?"
Xiao Buli glanced at Qin Shimoon and felt that there was so truth to it. Most importantly, he was not confident that if things turned sour he would be able to destroy the Energy Core. After hesitating for a mont, he decided to compromise.
"Have your soldiers stand down, leave no more than ten, and the rest must leave. Then I will hand over the item to you."
"Ten n are too few. I know your capabilities, and ten n cannot hold you down. Let's say I only keep twenty, and the others will leave."

General Huo gave Xiao Buli a look and then gazed at Qin Shimoon behind him. His face showed a trace of regret, which made Xiao Buli feel sothing was amiss.
"Hey, quickly give the order." Xiao Buli said. The soldiers, however, still stood with loaded guns, showing no intention of stepping aside.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't let you go." General Huo finally spoke up, but the first words he utters stunned Xiao Buli. Although he had considered this, he didn't expect the other party to turn his face so quickly.
"What, you're going to go back on your word? Aren't you afraid I'll kill her!" Xiao Buli pointed at Qin Shimoon, whose face was a picture of misery.
"So sacrifices are necessary for our goals. After I achieve our aims, you will be rembered by future generations and inscribed in history." The latter sentence, however, was directed at Qin Shimoon. Qin Shimoon smiled miserably, "So you've decided to sacrifice after all huh?"
"It's not that I want to sacrifice you, but that you have sacrificed yourself. When I asked you to sign the contract just now, you already knew I would do this, didn't you?"
Qin Shimoon nodded, let out a sigh, closed her eyes, and seed resigned to her fate. General Huo waved his hand and the surrounding soldiers closed in.
"One last chance: Surrender, and I will spare your life." This General Huo was truly ruthless! No wonder he was a notorious arch villain in conspiracy. Xiao Buli looked at the Soul Contract in his hand; with just one command, Qin Shimoon's life would be in his hands. But what good would that do? He was still going to die, so should he surrender or not?
There wasn't a trace of panic on his face, yet his mind was racing. No matter how he envisioned it, he couldn't co up with a way to escape. Was he really going to et his end here? A wave of anxiety washed over him, and then suddenly, a murmuring voice whispered in his ear, "Don't panic, Xiao Buli, you still have a chance."
He was stunned, thinking that it was Lu Xinying speaking to him. He turned and looked at her, but she was standing next to Wu Min'er, eyes intently fixed on her. If it wasn't Lu Xinying speaking, then who was it?
Before he could ponder this further, suddenly there was a loud boom, and the entire base's do trembled along with it, causing the lights providing illumination in the hall to flicker violently several tis. General Huo looked around in surprise, "What's going on, what's happened?"
"General, our base is under attack from magnetic weapons."
Boom! A series of thunderous roars ensued, this ti it was clear as day. The thunder seed to co from ancient beasts roaring from deep in the past. It pierced through the thick layers of earth, transmitting right above them.
The lights flared intensely and, under the pressure of the high voltage, burst with a loud bang, plunging the hall into total darkness.
