The Oga was on him in less than a second.

Asher barely leaned to the side before the claws sliced across where his chest had been. The air felt sharp as the strike passed by.

He tried to counter with a punch—

But the Oga didn’t stop moving now.

It ducked under his punch and drove its fist straight into his ribs.

The hit was brutal.

Asher’s body jerked sideways. He almost fell, but caught himself on one knee.

The Oga didn’t give him a second.

It swung again—straight at his head.

Asher rolled forward, feeling the claws cut a line through his hair. He ca up behind the Oga and tried to grab its waist again.

The machine twisted instantly.

Its elbow—its one good arm—slamd into his face.

Asher hit the ground flat on his back.

He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to roll away just as the Oga stabbed down. The claws punched a hole into the floor where his chest had been.

Asher got up, coughing.

"Fast... way too fast now..."

The Oga didn’t respond. It didn’t need to.

It charged again.

Asher moved sideways, barely keeping ahead. The Oga’s claw cut a long scar in the wall.

He grabbed the Oga’s wrist mid-swing.

This was a mistake.

The machine jerked its arm upward and lifted Asher off the ground with one hand. It slamd him into the wall hard enough to leave a dent.

Asher fell, landing on his side.

His lungs burned. His vision blurred. His shoulders throbbed from the impact.

The Oga walked toward him, step by heavy step.

"Your physical capacity is dropping," it stated. "Victory probability: 92%."

Asher pushed one hand against the floor.

"Yeah... you talk too much..."

The Oga’s visor brightened.

It lunged forward with a killing strike.

The claws ca straight for Asher’s head—

And Asher finally changed tactics.

He didn’t dodge backward.

He dodged inward.

He stepped directly under the Oga’s arm, letting the claws pass over his shoulder, and grabbed the machine around the torso again—this ti lower, near the hips.

He lifted.

This ti, he put his entire body into it.

He scread through clenched teeth and slamd the Oga backwards into the floor.

The ground cracked under the impact.

The Oga imdiately tried to rise—

Asher elbowed its visor with everything he had.

The machine’s head snapped sideways.

Asher hit it again. And again.

Each hit left a dent.

But the Oga’s free arm rose—

It punched Asher in the side of the head.

Asher stumbled away, stars filling his vision.

The Oga stood up again.

Even with a dented head and a broken arm—it looked almost untouched.

"Continuing ergency mode," it said. "Adapting."

The claws on its remaining hand reshaped—longer, thinner, sharper.

The machine lowered into a new stance.

Asher stared at it, breathing hard.

"...Okay," he muttered. "That looks worse."

The Oga launched forward again—

Even faster than before.

Asher barely had ti to raise his guard before the next attack hit.

The Oga’s next attack smashed through Asher’s guard like it was nothing.

The claws slashed across his forearms, cutting shallow lines through his skin and armor. The force pushed him back three steps before he could steady himself.

Asher grunted in pain.

The Oga didn’t slow down.

It swung again—this ti a wide, slicing arc aid at his chest.

Asher dropped flat to the floor.

The claws sliced through the air above him, close enough that he felt the heat from the friction.

He rolled to the side and jumped back up, but the Oga was already turning.

Its movents were sharper now, faster, almost unpredictable.

It thrust its claw forward.

Asher sidestepped, but the tip still grazed his ribs. A thin streak of blood marked the hit.

He hissed through his teeth.

"Yeah. Definitely worse."

The Oga kept coming.

Another slash.

Asher ducked.

A stab.

He pivoted away.

A sudden kick—fast and low.

That one caught him.

The kick slamd into his shin and swept his legs out from under him. Asher fell hard, hitting the ground on his back.

The Oga didn’t wait.

It stomped down at his chest.

Asher rolled again. The tal foot smashed into the floor, sending a shockwave through the ground.

Asher sprang to his feet, breathing sharp and uneven. His entire body felt like it was being torn apart.

He backed up, putting a little distance between them.

The Oga watched him, silent and focused.

"Observation," it said. "Your reaction ti is slowing."

Asher wiped the blood from his jaw.

"Still fast enough."

The Oga tilted its head slightly, as if scanning him.

Then it vanished forward again.

A blur.

Asher braced—

The Oga appeared right in front of him.

The claw ca down.

Asher caught it this ti.

His arms shook. His muscles strained. The claw pushed closer and closer to his face, inch by inch.

The floor under his boots cracked.

Asher roared and shoved the arm to the side.

For the first ti, he overpowered it in a direct contest.

He drove his head forward, headbutting the Oga right in the dented helt.

The impact rang through the chamber like a tal gong.

The Oga staggered one step back.

Asher didn’t waste it.

He lunged in, grabbed the Oga’s shoulders, and drove his knee straight into its chest—right at the glowing core.

A crack appeared under the armor plating.

The Oga reacted instantly.

It slamd its forehead into his nose.

Asher stumbled back, blood spilling from the hit.

The Oga charged again, its claw raised for another stab.

Asher wiped his nose, breathing through the pain.

"Alright... hit the core again..." he muttered to himself.

The Oga closed the distance—

Asher moved.

He ducked under the incoming strike, ignoring how close it ca to slicing his ear off. He grabbed the Oga’s side, spun behind it, and punched the crack near the core as hard as he could.

The armor dented deeper.

The Oga jerked violently, trying to shake him off.

Asher held on and punched again—

and again.

The crack widened.

A red glow leaked through.

"Structural breach detected," the Oga said, its voice glitching for the first ti.

Asher tightened his fist.

"Good. Let’s make it worse."

He pulled his arm back for one more heavy hit.

But the Oga wasn’t done.

Its claw suddenly snapped backward, stabbing toward his stomach like a reverse spike—

Asher twisted just in ti, feeling the tal graze his side instead of piercing him.

He jumped back, putting space between them again.

The Oga turned to face him fully, the core leaking red light from the damaged plating.

Its voice buzzed, distorted now.

"Ergency threat level increased. Switching to kill priority."

Asher spat blood onto the floor.

"Yeah? Sa here."

The Oga lowered its body again.

Steam rose from its joints.

Its visor glowed like a burning line.

Asher raised his fists.

Both of them knew the next exchange was going to be brutal.

The Oga rushed forward—

Faster than everything before.

Straight at him.

"Co on!" Asher shouted.

And the two collided again.
