The chira ca at them like a cannon shot, dragging its claws so hard they carved deep lines across the floor. Its whole body pulsed with blue light, each step shaking the ground.

Asher t it head-on.

The chira swung its right claw down in a heavy vertical strike. Asher shifted to the left and caught the arm with both hands, redirecting it to the ground. The impact shattered the stone where he pushed it.

The chira didn’t stop. It twisted its torso and swung its other claw sideways.

Asher dropped to one knee and leaned back, the claw passing inches above his face.

The Knight rushed in from the chira’s blind side. It brought its sword down on the cracked plate on the chira’s back. The blade hit clean and drove the crack deeper. Blue light spilled out in a small burst.

The chira roared in pain and spun its tail around like a whip.

The tail smashed into the Knight’s side and sent it flying across the room again, sliding across the stone until it dug its sword into the ground to stop itself.

Asher didn’t wait.

He ran straight at the chira. The creature tried to grab him with a fast swipe, but Asher ducked under the arm and slamd his fist into the crack on its back. The plate finally split wider, exposing the inner layer of the chira’s energy core.

The chira jerked forward, losing balance for a second.

It swung its arm wildly behind itself, trying to hit Asher without looking.

Asher jumped back just in ti. The claw tore open the ground where he had been standing.

The chira panted, its breath shaky, the blue fire across its body flickering. Parts of its armor glowed from the strain. It wasn’t falling yet—but the damage was starting to catch up.

The Knight recovered and returned to Asher’s side.

"Sa spot," Asher said. "We break it open from there."

The chira heard them. It slamd both hands into the floor, and the plates along its spine spread even wider. The glow beca almost blinding. Its entire body tensed like it was preparing a full surge.

Asher tensed as well.

The chira moved.

It disappeared in a flash—faster than before.

Asher shifted his footing, reading the air—then turned sharply.

The chira reappeared above him, claws raised for a downward strike.

Asher didn’t dodge. He stepped in under the chira’s falling body and slamd his shoulder into its chest. The impact knocked the chira off its attack path, sending it crashing to the floor on its side.

The Knight was already moving.

It jumped up and brought its sword straight down into the cracked section of the chira’s back. This ti the blade sank in deeper, breaking through another section of armor with a sharp tallic snap.

The chira thrashed violently. Its tail and legs kicked in all directions, trying to throw the Knight off.

Asher grabbed the tail mid-swing and yanked it down, forcing the chira’s body to stay low to the ground.

The Knight used the opening and pressed its sword deeper, twisting to widen the break.

The chira let out a short, desperate roar.

Its spine flickered hard—unstable, uneven. Blue energy leaked out of the cracks in sharp bursts, like steam escaping from a broken pipe.

Asher tightened his grip on the tail.

"This one’s close to breaking."

The chira swung a claw blindly backward, trying to hit either of them. Asher ducked under it and drove a kick straight into the open section of its back, right beside the Knight’s sword.

The armor finally split open completely.

A burst of blue energy shot outward, shaking the whole chamber. The chira’s body stiffened from the overload. Its limbs twitched, and its head jerked back as the energy ran through its core with no control left.

Its spine glowed one last ti—

—then went dark.

The chira collapsed face-down, its body giving out all at once.

Asher let go of the tail and stepped back.

The Knight pulled its sword free and lowered it.

The second chira lay still, its core silent.

Asher breathed out slowly.

"Two down."

He turned his head toward the next chamber—where the third one waited.

Asher and the Knight stepped away from the chira’s body. The room was quiet now, the air still shaking lightly from the last energy burst.

Asher wiped the dust from his hands and looked ahead.

The doorway to the next chamber rumbled.

A deep, heavy sound ca from inside—much slower and much heavier than the previous two. It wasn’t rushing. It wasn’t pacing.

It was waiting.

Asher narrowed his eyes.

"...This one’s different."

The Knight’s armor shifted slightly as it straightened its posture, sword held low but ready.

They walked toward the entrance together.

When they stepped through, the temperature changed again. The air felt thick, almost heavy enough to push against their skin. The chamber was larger than the last two, with broken pillars and long claw marks across the walls.

At the center stood the third chira.

This one didn’t pulse with bright blue light. Its flas were deeper—darker—almost violet. Its armor wasn’t cracked or unstable. It looked solid, clean, and tightly fused.

It turned its head toward them slowly, as if it had been resting and just woke up.

Asher imdiately felt the difference.

The first two chiras were unstable, rushing to attack, acting on instinct.

This one was calm.

Focused.

Controlled.

It stepped forward, and the ground pressed down under its weight. Each movent was smooth, balanced, almost deliberate.

Asher spoke quietly.

"It’s smarter. And stronger."

The chira opened its mouth, releasing a heavy sound—not a roar, but a slow, deep rumble that vibrated through the chamber.

The Knight stepped ahead, lowering its stance.

Asher raised his hand.

"Wait."

The chira lowered itself into a stance, its claws digging into the floor. Its eyes glowed with a steady violet-blue mix.

Asher rolled his shoulders once.

"...We do this clean."

The chira moved.

Not fast.

Not wild.

A single, straight dash—almost silent.
