Asher spun toward the distortion in the air. The chira reappeared behind him, both claws already swinging. Asher dropped to the ground, rolled, and the claws sliced through nothing but air. The force of the swing tore a half-circle trench behind him.

Before Asher could fully stand, the chira moved again—another blur.

The Knight intercepted it mid-motion. Sword and claw clashed, the shockwave blowing dust upward. The chira pushed hard, shoving the Knight back several ters, boots grinding against the floor.

Asher jumped in behind the chira. He swung at the back of its knee, striking the cracked area again. The blow hit deep. The armor bent inward this ti instead of just cracking.

The chira stiffened from the pain.

It spun around fast, tal-smoke arm reshaping into a blade again, and slashed at Asher. Asher leaned sideways, the blade passing close enough to cut a strand of hair.

He punched the exposed joint right after, aiming for the sa weakened spot. The chira buckled for a mont, struggling to stay upright as its leg trembled.

The Knight attacked at the sa ti. It brought its sword down on the damaged tail again. Another loud crack split the room. The tail sagged, its movents now clearly slower.

The chira roared in frustration.

Then its spine flared dangerously—unstable now, flickering, like it was ready to overload.

Asher narrowed his eyes.

"It’s forcing more power through its body. It won’t hold that for long."

The chira dug its claws into the floor, using them like anchors. The segnts along its spine locked into place, glowing bright blue. Energy built inside its chest, its limbs, even the cracks in its armor.

Then it launched itself forward again.

This ti the speed was nearly impossible to track.

Asher reacted by reading the floor—the direction of pressure, the shifts in the air. He moved a split second before the chira reached him, sliding beneath its next attack. The creature ripped past him, smashing directly into the far wall hard enough to dent the stone.

It didn’t pause.

It turned instantly, tearing back toward him again.

The Knight cut across its path, swinging its sword horizontally. The blade bounced off the chira’s shoulder without doing much damage, but it slowed the creature for a brief mont.

Asher used that opening. He moved in fast and hit the cracked ankle one more ti, this ti with everything he had behind the strike.

The armor finally split open.

The blue energy inside blasted outward like steam escaping a ruptured pipe. The chira dropped to one knee, the entire right leg shaking violently under its weight.

Asher jumped back as the creature clawed at the floor, trying to stand.

The Knight appeared next to him, sword ready again.

The chira’s breathing changed. Shorter. Rougher. Its void-eyes glared at both of them, filled with frustration and rising desperation.

It pushed itself up again using only its arms.

It could still fight—but its balance was gone. Its right leg dragged uselessly.

Asher adjusted his stance.

"This is it. Keep hitting the weak spots."

The Knight nodded silently.

The chira planted its remaining good leg.

Spine glowing, claws ready, jaw trembling with unstable energy—

It charged them again.

Even wounded, it wasn’t giving up.

The chira limped forward, dragging its damaged leg but still forcing its body to accelerate. Its claws tore grooves into the floor with every step. It refused to slow down.

Asher stepped forward to et it.

The chira swung its left arm in a wide arc. Asher ducked under it and hit the exposed side of its ribs. The armor dented but didn’t break. The impact still made the chira twist off balance.

The Knight ca in from the right. Its sword cut down at the cracked tail again. This ti the blade cut halfway through. The chira whipped its upper body around and slamd its good arm into the Knight, sending the Knight sliding several ters back but still on its feet.

Asher stayed on the chira, not giving it ti to recover.

He struck the open ankle again—right where the blue energy leaked out. The chira jerked violently. Its entire leg twitched, then collapsed fully under its weight. The creature fell to one knee, both claws slamming into the ground to hold itself up.

The glowing in its spine beca unstable, flickering hard. The blue light pulsed like it was about to burst.

The chira snapped at Asher with its jaws. Asher stepped to the side and grabbed the edge of its chin. He drove his knee up into the underside of its jaw, snapping its head back and forcing its mouth shut.

The Knight dashed in again. It swung its sword straight at the chira’s neck from behind. The blow didn’t cut through, but it cracked the armor plates further, sending chips of tal scattered across the floor.

The chira roared—short, sharp, desperate.

It threw its body around, trying to catch either of them with a wild swipe. Asher rolled out of reach, and the Knight jumped back just in ti. The chira’s claw smashed into the ground and tore up a chunk of stone.

The creature tried to stand again using only its arms.

It managed to lift itself halfway before its broken ankle flared with energy and forced it back down.

Asher didn’t wait.

He rushed in one last ti. He drove his blade straight into the exposed gap on the chira’s ankle joint—the place where the armor had split open completely.

The strike hit deep.

The chira’s entire body stiffened.

The blue energy inside its leg burst out all at once, shooting up its limb and into its torso. The creature let out a sharp, distorted scream as its body overloaded.

Its spine flared a final ti—

—then went dark.

The chira collapsed forward, the impact shaking the whole room.

Asher stepped back, breathing hard but steady. The Knight lowered its sword beside him.

The chira lay motionless, its armor cracked open, its core quiet.

Asher nodded once.

"That’s one."

He turned slowly toward where the second chira waited.
