This whole series of smooth operations left Qin Huai dumbfounded.
My goodness, Chen Huihong is practically a walking advertisent board.
Very quickly, Qin Huai realized that Chen Huihong, this walking advertisent board, was indeed very useful.
Because the wealthy lords and young masters in the inner city were really idle.
They actually followed Chen Huihong, watching where she would sit in front of which tavern.
Before long, a trail of different little tails had ford behind Chen Huihong.
So with braids, so without, so wearing long gowns, so draped in coats, and even a rich lady in a clearly Western-style sweater wanted to follow, but was pulled back by her maid.
Chen Huihong was completely unaffected by the little tails behind her and went about her business exploring taverns.
She would stop in front of a tavern, and the staff inside would imdiately beco overjoyed and greet her with smiling faces, just about to assist Chen Huihong, only for her to rcilessly turn and leave.
Leaving the staff at the door to receive a scolding from the shopkeeper.
She’d stop at another tavern, the shopkeeper would promptly have the staff clean the most prominent table by the door and put out tea, personally stepping out to greet her, only for Chen Huihong to walk on again.
Leaving the shopkeeper standing at the door, grinding his teeth.
There’s no denying it, this thod of exploring taverns is indeed very dramatic, not only did Qin Huai watch with great interest, but the onlookers also found it thrilling.
So mischief-makers even started taking bets, gambling on whether Chen Huihong would continue into Taifeng Building or head to another tavern today.
Finally, Chen Huihong reached the front of Taifeng Building, the place most frequently ntioned by the onlookers.
Qin Huai looked up at the sign of this tavern; the sign was old, but the tavern was new, much like Qin’s Stead Bun Shop.
The staff at Taifeng Building had already co out with beaming smiles.
"Crazy lady, are you dining at our Taifeng Building today? Master Jiang has especially reserved so great dishes for you—Phoenix Egg, Jade Cabbage, crispy duck, White Jade Square Cake. We even have a new Jiangnan Pastry Master in our store now, would you care to try?" The staff spoke fluently, pronouncing each word clearly with a robust voice that carried far.
Chen Huihong hesitated a little.
The onlookers got excited.
"Taifeng Building, I knew it was going to be Taifeng Building, haha, I won!"
"She’s eaten at Taifeng Building for seven consecutive days; no way, she’s got to be sick of it by now. It’s got to be Yonghe Inn today!"
"I think Babaozhai’s new dishes are pretty good!"
"I think Yongfu Building is alright too."
"She’s already browsed both Yongfu Building and Babaozhai, didn’t even stop."
Chen Huihong thought for a mont, turned around to leave, causing the onlookers to beco even more uproarious.
"Crazy lady, there’s Fernted Rice with Stead Buns today!" The shopkeeper rushed out to greet her, holding a small dish with a Fernted Rice with Stead Bun in it, "Just out of the pot, it’s still warm; you should sll it."
Chen Huihong paused.
The onlookers held their breath, not daring to make a sound.
After hesitating for a while, Chen Huihong turned again, walking back into Taifeng Building.
The onlookers burst out in exclamations.
"It really is Taifeng Building, I bet right, hahahahaha!"
"This Taifeng Building really is sothing, only been open for so long, yet has gained such favor from the crazy lady."
"Is it? Guess who I saw picking up dishes at Taifeng Building yesterday? The old prince’s steward!"
"Wow."
Among the chatting crowd, the staff’s voice stood out.
"To celebrate the crazy lady’s continuous eight-day patronage of Taifeng Building, our Manager Lu has announced that anyone dining in the shop today will receive four plates of snacks and a pot of tea!"
