Just from Zheng Da’s first reaction, Qin Huai could guess that Zheng Da simply didn’t like the Four Happiness Rolls, because his response was a bit too intense.

It seed like a bit of an overreaction.

What harm did the Four Happiness Rolls ever cause Zheng Da?

On the way to the community, Qin Huai discreetly took out his phone to ssage Dong Shi, asking him to ensure that he finds out the truth by tomorrow.

It might have been the end of the workday at Huang Ji; Dong Shi replied almost instantly, promising to complete the task, assuring Qin Huai he’d hear the complete story first thing when he arrives at Huang Ji tomorrow.

He then casually asked if Qin Huai would be making breakfast tomorrow morning. If he was, Dong Shi would co early with an empty stomach.

It was apparent that ever since Qin Huai left Huang Ji, the employees there have been missing out on a precious breakfast.

Zheng Da escorted Qin Huai all the way to the community. Since Uncle Wang only short-rented a place in the community without buying a house, he temporarily lived with Qin Huai. Tan Wei’an and Zang Liang lived in the house purchased by Chen Huihong, while Zheng Siyuan lived in the house bought by Xu Tuqiang. Normally, Zheng Siyuan should go ho, but he felt his ho was too far from Huang Ji, requiring a long commute daily, so he chose to live in the community across from Huang Ji for convenience.

As for Shi Dadan, before setting off, he found a rental through an agent within the community, directly renting an apartnt right below Qin Huai, which was quite convenient.

Qin Huai could tell that Zheng Da really wanted to use the excuse of caring for his son to conveniently live with Zheng Siyuan, hinting several tis, but Zheng Siyuan completely ignored his father. Zheng Da could only leave heartbroken, cursing his ungrateful son a few tis in his mind.

This was Qin Huai’s first ti living with Wang Gen Sheng, relishing the rare opportunity for open and honest close contact and idle chatter.

While Qin Huai was keen to chat more, unfortunately, Wang Gen Sheng wasn’t interested at all. His mind was entirely focused on tomorrow’s accounting task, already full of energy and just wanting to rest early for a vigorous beginning to intense accounting work.

Wang Gen Sheng’s 40 years of professional accounting spirit were already ablaze.

Considering Wang Gen Sheng wasn’t interested in chatting, Qin Huai could only give up. After all, he had arranged a very exciting scenario for Wang Gen Sheng tomorrow, requiring a final ntal rehearsal to ensure the plot would unfold flawlessly the following day.

Then Qin Huai ended up chatting with Shi Dadan on WeChat till 1 AM, deeply analyzing and discussing tomorrow’s script.

Shi Dadan was also one of the important extras for tomorrow, an essential role to set the atmosphere.

A good night’s sleep.

But when Qin Huai woke up, it was already 8:30 AM the next day. Realizing he slept in again, he hurried to get up and saw Wang Gen Sheng and Shi Dadan in the living room.

Wang Gen Sheng was sitting at the dining table, wearing reading glasses, looking at the computer.

Indeed, Wang Gen Sheng was so well-equipped, he even brought his own laptop.

Shi Dadan was sitting across from Wang Gen Sheng, calmly eating dumplings. Those dumplings were clearly Paopao Dumplings made by Zheng Siyuan; he still loved making them in the morning.

"Xiao Qin, you’re awake," Shi Dadan said cheerfully when he saw Qin Huai get up. "Old Wang went to Huang Ji specially to pack so dumplings for you. You can eat dumplings before heading to Huang Ji. Master Huang from Huang Ji said that since you were busy all day yesterday, it’s normal to wake up late today. No need to hurry; snacks can go on sale at any ti."

Having never been taken care of by grandparents (as Mr. Qin and Granny Qin lived in the countryside most of the ti), Qin Huai was stunned. Was this the legendary treatnt of being cared for by grandparents? Sleeping in wouldn’t be rushed or awakened; instead, soone would buy breakfast, pack it, and wait for you to eat.

"So... have Zheng Siyuan and the others arrived at Huang Ji?" Qin Huai, being too shocked, realized after asking that he had asked a silly question.

"Zheng Siyuan and Tan Wei’an have arrived. Zang Liang... When Old Wang and I returned from Huang Ji at 8, he hadn’t arrived yet. He should be there by now."

"Right, Old Wang?"

Hearing Shi Dadan call him, Wang Gen Sheng adjusted his reading glasses, glanced up at Shi Dadan, and took two seconds to pull himself from his focused work state before nodding: "It seems so. Is Little Zang the young man who talks a lot? He seems not to have arrived."

Qin Huai said he understood the situation and hurried to the bathroom to wash up. Shi Dadan got up and went to the kitchen to scoop out Qin Huai’s portion of Paopao Dumplings from the thermal container, serving it in a bowl on the dining table.

Qin Huai washed up quickly, replied to so ssages while eating, with Shi Dadan sitting silently beside him, keeping him company, while Wang Gen Sheng frowned at the computer.

For the first ti, Qin Huai saw this expression on Wang Gen Sheng’s face. If Grandpa Qian and Xu Tuqiang had seen Wang Gen Sheng like this, they surely wouldn’t be spreading rumors about Wang Gen Sheng likely having dentia.

"Uncle Wang, is sothing wrong?" Qin Huai asked tentatively.

"This accounting is just too unprofessional, all ssy. Are today’s accountants really doing things like this?" Wang Gen Sheng frowned and said, "With account books and forms like this, it’s way too easy for accountants to fiddle things, casually causing the factory... restaurant to lose tens of thousands."

"Um... Huang Ji possibly doesn’t have professional accountants," Qin Huai wasn’t very familiar with the personnel situation at Huang Ji, but it seed similar to Yunzhong Restaurant, with a professional foreman leading not necessarily very professionally trained but relatively serious and responsible senior employees.
