Does Master Qin still rember Luo Jun’s tea party?
Of course I rember.
Not only did Qin Huai rember the tea party at 4 PM, but he also rembered the types of fruits at Luo Jun’s house. He planned to buy two bottles of yogurt from the convenience store and pick up so ice cubes from Ouyang’s shop to make fruit salad for everyone.
As for the custors at Xiao Ou Handmade Lemon Tea Store...
No worries, there’s Ouyang.
The recipe given by Cao Guixiang seed unreliable, yet it was actually quite easy to execute, and it tasted genuinely good.
Especially the coconut drink blended from several kinds of beverages—the taste was simply exquisite. One sip, and you would know it was from a famous coconut juice brand, with slight variations in taste making it fresher and richer.
People just couldn’t get enough of it and wanted more.
Even Ouyang himself drank three cups in a row and only stopped because he was full.
Unless sothing unexpected happens, Xiao Ou Handmade Lemon Tea should not lose money.
But considering the boss of this store is Ouyang, there’s still a 0.1% chance of unexpected events.
At 4 PM, Qin Huai appeared at the door of Luo Jun’s house on ti, carrying a bucket of ice (milk tea bucket), 6 bags of plain yogurt bought from the convenience store, and four large buckets of fruit tea.
He pressed the doorbell.
Zhang Shui opened the door.
Zhang Shui saw Qin Huai and appeared very enthusiastic. She picked up the canvas bag on the entrance and said loudly to Luo Jun, who was still sitting on the sofa watching TV, "Mr. Luo, Master Qin is here. I’m going to the fruit store to buy so fruits."
Luo Jun nodded slightly.
Zhang Shui happily took the canvas bag and went out shopping.
Once the door was closed, Luo Jun slightly turned his head, gave Qin Huai a look filled with 30% contempt, 50% criticism, and 20% sarcasm, more villainous than a villain.
"Oh, the ever-busy Master Qin actually has ti to visit my humble abode. I thought you ca here treating it like a fruit wholesale market, took so goods, didn’t pay, and left directly."
Qin Huai instantly understood, the key point of this sentence was "having ti," highlighting Luo Jun’s frustration about Qin Huai being late by many days, resulting in him having no Dried Tangerine Peel Tea to drink, nor snacks to eat.
Qin Huai quickly offered 4 cups of fruit tea, placed the ice bucket and yogurt on the dining table, and smiled, "How could that be, I specially made so fruit tea for you."
Luo Jun directly forwarded the ssage from the group to Qin Huai.
Qin Huai kept a straight face and continued to spin, "I made it specially for you at Ouyang’s shop. You wouldn’t know, Ouyang Danian made handmade lemon tea for his family on New Year’s Eve, and the whole family ended up in the hospital."
"Although you’re a Bi fang, your health is better than ordinary people, but didn’t you just fail the tribulation? Biologically speaking... at least according to the hospital records, you’re now a 92-year-old man. If a cup of fruit tea sends you to the hospital, or worse, to the grave, I’d be gravely guilty."
No sooner had Qin Huai finished speaking when the door opened again, and Chen Huihong and Qu Jing entered one after the other. It was evident that recently, Chen Huihong and Luo Jun’s relationship had progressed rapidly, as the Bi fang and Plant Spirits had ford a deep friendship—she even had a key to Luo Jun’s house.
"What grave guilt, I think I heard sothing about a second life. Qin, did you encounter so new spirits on your side? I was wondering why you ca back so late since Jingjing’s exchange had already ended." Chen Huihong asked loudly and chattered non-stop.
Qu Jing followed Chen Huihong inside, carrying a pot for cooking. Hearing Chen Huihong’s words, she quickly explained, "Actually, according to the hospital’s schedule, I should have returned by the end of March. At the beginning of the year, two doctors in our departnt resigned, and we haven’t hired replacents yet. I volunteered to end the exchange early, hence my early return."
"Chen Huihong, can you lower your voice a bit? A few more shouts and the people upstairs would know that there are no humans in this room." Luo Jun said with a face full of disdain, pointing at the kitchen, "The fruit plate is inside."
Qin Huai quickly went to get it.
He made himself so fruit salad with yogurt after cutting so fruits.
Qu Jing followed Qin Huai into the kitchen. The small pot she was holding contained freshly cooked rice cake soup. It hadn’t been properly cooked yet and needed to be served quickly, or else the rice cakes would turn into mush.
Qin Huai glanced at Qu Jing’s complexion.
She had gotten a little tanned.
Qu Jing used to disguise herself as severely allergic to ultraviolet rays, and she rarely saw the sun. Even going out, she wrapped herself up completely, her skin as white as snow.
Adding to the frequent bleeding due to self-harm, the lack of color in her lips and face made her look as white as paper. Anyone looking at her knew she was probably not in good health.
Once Qu Jing’s ntal state improved and her self-harming behavior gradually decreased, she rarely experienced the pale complexion caused by anemia. Upon recovery, she gained more color, and her lips beca much rosier.
Now, she was even tanned.
Qin Huai knew many girls pursue fairness, undergoing costic treatnts, applying sunscreen, and holding sun umbrellas. Even Qin Luo had learned to apply sunscreen when going out in the sumr after entering the eighth grade, to avoid turning into a little black coal after a vacation.
But Qin Huai thought Qu Jing looked better with a little tan.
Her previous skin tone was too pale, lacking vitality. It was fine when she wore a mask, but once she took it off, she stood out like a crane among chickens, unique and impossible to miss.
Now, Qu Jing appeared just like a normal person.
She no longer wore gloves, still wore long sleeves, but her mannerisms were typical of an ordinary person.
