Everyone knew that Gong Liang had awakened.

Cheng Gong and Shi Dadan imdiately let go, and Shi Dadan continued eating fruit. He glanced at the coconut paste mooncake with a bite taken out of it and asked, "Qin Huai, did you only make this one mooncake?"

"I only had ti to make this one, but there are still crusts and fillings in the kitchen. Old Shi, if you want to eat more, I'll bake a few more for you later."

Shi Dadan nodded, feeling a bit disappointed, "I thought you would make more, at least one for ."

Qin Huai: ... What is this inexplicable feeling of guilt?

Gong Liang was still in a daze. Chen Huihong had already started munching on sunflower seeds, while Luo Jun seed regretful, perhaps feeling unsatisfied with just stuffing one in, and began contemplating how to scold soone later.

The others, including Qin Huai, were quietly waiting for Gong Liang to wake up.

Finally, after five long minutes of waiting, Gong Liang moved.

He now regained clarity in his eyes and then started—

"Hot-hot-hot-hot-hot!"

Alright, that was a genuine expression of emotion just now.

Gong Liang inhaled frantically, and Qin Huai quickly handed him ice water. Gong Liang gulped down half of the cup in a few large sips, leaving the last mouthful in his mouth.

Qin Huai took the cup and refilled it with ice water for Gong Liang, who repeated the previous action and then stared at Qin Huai with a shock and puzzlent.

Gong Liang wasn't foolish; rather, he was very smart. Though he couldn't quite figure out the situation, he imdiately discerned that Qin Huai was the main character, the one who awakened him. The other spirits were mostly just watching the show.

Gong Liang stared at Qin Huai for a long ti, slowly swallowed the water in his mouth, and asked sowhat unclearly, "Does it have to be done this way?"

"Do I really have to eat such a hot mooncake to wake up? Is that how everyone wakes up?"

Qin Huai sighed internally, indeed worthy of being a Scamr beast, to have figured out the situation so quickly and concluded that the awakening of the other spirits also happened with his assistance.

"Not really; it's mainly that Mr. Gong's awakening requirent was quite unique. You had to eat the coconut paste mooncake while it was hot."

"When I looked into your mory earlier, I saw you got burnt by a coconut paste mooncake, and figured that it ant this kind of mooncake needs to be eaten hot. If it needs to be hot, then go all the way, right? What if the temperature isn't enough and it burns your tongue but fails? Can't really grab you from downstairs and forcibly stuff the mooncake in your mouth, that would be considered wrongful captivity and kidnapping, wouldn't it?"

Upon hearing Qin Huai's explanation, Luo Jun showed a hint of disappointnt, evidently a bit reproachful towards Qin Huai for not using such a good thod.

Qin Huai: ...

How much do you really want the Scamr beast dead? The beast's cri isn't that severe, is it?

Gong Liang: "…Alright, then what did the others eat?"

"I had Rice Cake Soup, a rather bad tasting one." Qu Jing answered first, sowhat comforting Gong Liang.

"I had Longevity Noodles, which is the Chicken Soup Noodles that Xiao Qin usually makes." Chen Huihong replied.

"I suppose I woke up from eating Four Happiness glutinous rice." Cheng Gong wasn't very sure.

"I woke up by myself, didn't eat anything." Shi Dadan chuckled warmly.

"Zhao Cheng'an had potato dumplings." Since Zhao Cheng'an hadn't returned, Qin Huai spoke for him.

Only Luo Jun was left.

Luo Jun replied coldly, "I was from the first life, about to fail reincarnation, but was not successful."

Gong Liang promptly said, "That's not good, Mr. Luo, you need to hurry up; everyone here has awakened except for you. You're falling behind."

Luo Jun: ...

Luo Jun looked at the mooncake on the table and asked, "Can I stuff this back into his mouth?"

Such a troubleso Scamr beast, not speaking like a human right after awakening, wasn't he quite articulate when he hadn't awakened?
