[Donald’s Perspective]
Upon hearing this, Christian responded, "We’ve already reported back to Your Majesty! They said it would take at most half an hour to sail out of the Mist Sea Region, and a full frontal assault on the island can certainly go ahead according to the battle plan."
After hearing this, I nodded slightly and said in a deep voice, "That’s good. When the entire island’s attention is focused on the eastern side, that’s when we will catch them fully unprepared!"
This was the safest plan I could co up with. When the main force launched a frontal assault on the island, Henry would definitely be distracted. Even if he was truly ticulous and prepared for defense, breaching the defenses of this small hospital would still be very simple with the Lycans from my assault team and personal guard force at hand.
The only challenge for was how to do all this without hurting Margaret in the slightest.
But what I could not have anticipated was that at the very mont I was trying all ans to avoid this situation, Margaret had already been forced to resort to "self-harm" as a ans to achieve her goal of making contact with Simo.
This half-hour truly made feel as if seconds were dragging by like years. I would look at my wristwatch every minute, also waiting for the notification of the attack on the island the mont it began!
"Your Majesty! Don’t you find the female nurse who just ca out a bit odd?" Christian, whose mind was always sharp, seed to have noticed sothing and promptly said to while squeezing the binoculars.
At his words, I lifted my gaze and picked up the binoculars in my hand.
Soon, I understood why Christian thought she was strange. What kind of hospital nurse leaves work without changing out of her clothes or taking off her mask? At least the two nurses a short distance behind her weren’t doing that.
After a careful look, I suddenly recognized the figure as being familiar. Narrowing my eyes slightly, I imdiately said, "It’s Licia! Elliot, take two Lycans and follow her right away, bring her to . Rember, don’t alarm anyone else."
Elliot promptly left to carry out the order, and I slowly furrowed my eyebrows, a bad premonition rising in my heart.
Sure enough, before Elliot had gone long, a new situation erged. "Your Majesty! It looks like there’s so footage being displayed on the monitor above the hospital entrance... it seems a bit like surveillance footage!"
My heart gave a fierce jolt, and a very strange feeling washed over . I imdiately turned to look!
The mont I saw the very familiar figure on the screen, I was so shocked I almost stood up from the bushes, but thankfully Christian’s level voice was very tily in waking .
"Is that the Lycan Queen? Why are they suddenly broadcasting the Lycan Queen’s surveillance footage? What are they trying to do?" Christian asked, his eyes full of confusion.
I took a few deep breaths to barely suppress the urge to rush over and rescue her, my eyes glued to the surveillance screen showing Margaret.
Suddenly, Christian confird that it was indeed a live surveillance feed, but as for why the enemy would make such a strange move, we had no way of knowing at the mont!
With the aid of the binoculars, I could see the hospital’s front entrance very clearly, even though our position was extrely far from the hospital.
The monitor’s footage wasn’t particularly high-definition, but I still noticed that Margaret’s face was pale. The white thing on her forehead had to be a bandage, and such bandaging only indicated one thing—she was hurt!
I forced myself to suppress the anger and killing intent in my chest, staring at the surveillance screen with an icy deanor, as Christian, sowhat worried, looked at . I, however, gripped the binoculars without moving an inch, like a cold statue.
My dear Margaret, curled up on a simple hospital bed, looked incredibly thin and fragile. After Henry had people take her away, he had not treated her well at all!
Yes! How could I have such a naive idea? How could Henry, that madman, treat Margaret well? He probably couldn’t wait to tornt Margaret to death, satisfying his vindictive, narrow-minded, and insane psychopathy!
"Margaret..." I muttered her na, my heart wrenching as I looked at her now blurry profile.
Noticing the change in my emotions, Christian leaned in a little and calmly reminded , "The enemy might be doing this to provoke us. We can’t fall for it, Your Majesty! There are only 10 minutes left before the attack on the island begins. Can you hold on a little longer? At least now we can be certain of the Lycan Queen’s safety. That’s not entirely bad news!"
I didn’t respond to Christian’s reminder imdiately; I just stared at the display screen, my other fist clenching tighter and tighter.
"Your Majesty! It’s Levi from the Spirit Dragon Pack! He’s appeared on the screen too."
Before the nearby Lycan alerted , I had already seen Levi’s face through the binoculars.
It seed he had interrupted the surveillance footage around Margaret and appeared on the screen with an incredibly clear image. I could even see the reflected footage in his eyes through his gaze.
Levi was sitting in front of a computer, his expression mocking as he said sothing to soone nearby, "Has the footage been aired? Can I start talking now? Alright then."
As he spoke, he stared straight at , curling his lips and then continued, "Can you see , Donald? I know you’re out there. Don’t you want to co in and see Margaret? These past two days have been exceptionally tough for her..."
