[Donald’s Perspective]

I laughed out loud without paying any attention to Henry’s livid expression, nor did I care about the never-ending sound of gunfire. "Are you really the kind of person who sacrifices for others? In the end, it’s because you’re also unsure of the potion’s stability and its ultimate effects, yet you can’t bear to give up the chance that it could help you rise again!"

"Greedy for power, you’ve recruited so many people to die for you—oh no! Saying they’re dying for you doesn’t seem quite accurate, more like they’re your cute ’lab rats’ for drug testing! Are they aware of your despicable and selfish thoughts? Do you need to spread the word for you?" I suggested this seemingly kindly, while my eyes kept assessing the Guards still surrounding Henry.

These soldiers could hear my entire conversation with Henry. If they had a sliver of sober reason left, now would be the ti for them to reconsider whether their respected MASTER was a petty man who had been using them from the start to the end!

However, I clearly underestimated the brainwashing Henry had done to them. A long while passed, and these people showed no reaction, seemingly determined to be Henry’s ’lab rats’.

I laughed with amusent, almost admiring Henry’s ability. "These ’lab rats’ are really quite obedient. Your talent in beguiling hearts is as strong as ever! The Rebels outside the door probably won’t be able to resist much longer. Do you have any other tricks up your sleeve? If not, then today you truly won’t be able to leave this place!"

Henry, contrary to his usual self, did not retort. His gaze towards was full of resentnt and depth, and he fell silent, apparently deep in thought.

Silence spread between us, and I watched the enemy in front of patiently, without continuing to strike.

"Donald! You’ve already won this war, you..."

Upon hearing this familiar and dear voice, I tensed up a little, but I didn’t imdiately pay her any attention.

Seeing my lack of reaction, Licia slowly erged from the ranks of Lillian and the Rebels, her face full of guilt and reluctance. "Can you let Henry and Lillian go just this once? I know this is an unreasonable request, but consider it as a plea from your mother. Let Lillian take Austin and leave; I guarantee she will never appear before you and Margaret again, she will not affect your lives anymore!"

"As for Henry, he’s our only remaining family in this world. Can you spare him once more? For the sake of your mother and your Aunt Martha, can you spare his life?"

Licia’s wound at her neck had stopped bleeding. Although Lillian was a fool, she hadn’t really intended to hurt Licia before.

They were all acting, taking and Margaret for fools.

I transford into human form, slowly turned my head to look at Licia, while the gun in my hand remained aid at Henry’s head. "Even though it’s a bit too late to ask now, I’m still curious to know, between and Henry, who is actually your biological son?"

As if my question had pierced the softest part of her heart, Licia broke down in tears, shaking her head unconsciously and sobbing, "Ever since your father and your Aunt Martha died, you and Henry have been my only hope in this world. I can’t stand the pain of losing a loved one again. You understand , don’t you Donald?"

"You used to like your Aunt Martha and your cousin too, right? For the sake of past kinship and warmth, can you give your cousin a chance?"

In my heart, I actually understood Licia’s difficulty, but that’s not how things should be settled.

This was no trivial family spat. Henry was the final push behind betraying the entire country, and disrupting the natural order of the werewolf world. If such a cri could be forgiven, how could the Wolf royal family ever demand other werewolf packs to submit?

Licia, now ensnared by what she called kinship, was completely blind to these obvious matters, but I couldn’t act recklessly without regard.

"Loyalty and kindness are the most basic qualities of a werewolf. Without even these two basic things, how can Henry claim to be a Prince of this country? You consider him a close family mber in your heart, but how much has he considered you? Mother, I don’t want you to feel troubled or pained caught between us, but so things inevitably require a choice."

I slowly withdrew my gaze from Licia and continued in an uncompromising tone, "Now you can make a choice between him and ."

"Today, one of us between Henry and will die. You don’t have a second option that will make everyone happy."

After hearing my words, Licia collapsed to the ground in a breakdown, crying with her hands covering her face.

Henry seed to take a deep breath before bursting into laughter, looking at with eyes red as if filled with tears, "The Lycan King of the Wolf royal family really is heartless through and through. Such disgusting traits make stand staying here any longer unnecessary."
