[Elizabeth’s Perspective]

As my blurry consciousness gradually returned to my body, so ca an unbearable agony!

I think my arm must have been snapped off; the people who attacked us yesterday afternoon were ruthless, showing no rcy whatsoever.

I slowly opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was Armstrong’s bloodied face. He was still unconscious, his breath through his nostrils very faint, but thankfully, I was certain he was alive.

I lifted my gaze toward the only source of light in the cabin, a three-ter-high iron window. Sounds of branches swaying were barely detectable from outside the window, and in addition, I could sll the earthy scent of soil, freshly washed by a downpour.

Had Armstrong and I been taken by the attackers to so secluded forest?

The excruciating pain in my arm made wish for death. I suppressed the urge to cry out and gingerly kicked Armstrong, who was lying across from , "Armstrong? Wake up! Can you hear , can you wake up, please? I’m so scared Armstrong..."

When I called out Armstrong’s na, I realized just how hoarse and unpleasant my voice sounded, but at a ti like this, I couldn’t be bothered by that. I needed to wake him up first; otherwise, alone, I would have no chance of managing our current predicant!

"Armstrong..."

"Bang!"

But before I could really wake Armstrong, the sound of footsteps ca from outside the cabin, followed by the loud noise of the door being kicked open!

I was scared stiff for a second by the noise, instinctively closing my eyes, pretending I hadn’t woken from unconsciousness.

But our enemies were clearly not so easily fooled. A few seconds later, I heard a mocking sneer and a chilling voice said, "Since you’re awake, we can sit down and have a good ’talk,’ now can’t we? The respected Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack and Luna!"

Right as the other side’s words ended, I thought I heard Armstrong snort softly.

"Cough, cough, what would you like to talk about, oh exalted leader of the despicable Rebels?" Armstrong’s response was in a low, graveled voice as if scraped forcibly from his throat.

I sharply looked up at Armstrong across from , glad that he had woken up, "You’re awake Armstrong! Are your injuries okay? Can you sit up now?"

Armstrong’s eyes glowed a blood-red, but his gaze upon was gentle, I could even read a firm reassurance in them; he was trying to give a sense of safety.

Looking at Armstrong, covered in blood, I could hardly control the tears that started to fall.

Seeing this, Armstrong just gave a comforting smile before he continued to speak to our captor, "You dare provoke the entire Wolf royal family. The Lycan King and Queen will not let you go unpunished. You’d better brace yourself, for the wrath of the Lycan King is not sothing trash like you can bear!"

While speaking, Armstrong tried to shift his body a little to speak more directly to our captor. Being so close to him, I could almost imdiately sll the blood on him!

Indeed, in the cruel battle yesterday afternoon, he and Anthony fought the enemy for hours to protect us. His wounds were all from that ti, and Anthony...

’Is Anthony already dead?’ I asked myself.

But it seed there was no answer to that question, as the last mont I was conscious yesterday, I seed to see Anthony collapsed in a pool of blood; he had fallen re steps away from in the muddy ground!

"Really? You think that with such an impotent warning I would be frightened enough to release you? Oh my respected Alpha, you are just as ’naive’ and ’adorable’ as your luna, hahaha!"

As the leader spoke, he suddenly burst into a maniacal laugh, as if he had heard so incredibly amusing joke.

"I’m not afraid to tell you that the so-called Wolf royal family you rely on will soon no longer exist! And the Lycan faction led by Donald is about to be wiped out! This corrupt and filthy world is about to welco its new overlord—the ’MASTER’—and we will establish a new order and future. ’MASTER’ will surely replace Donald!"

Armstrong and I listened quietly to the enemy’s blasphemous words, but inside, a tidal wave of emotions stirred fiercely.

So the enemy’s goal was not only to disrupt the Queen’s coronation ceremony today, but they intended to use this opportunity to officially declare war on the entire Wolf royal family!

Looking at the leader’s maniacal behavior, a sense of foreboding suddenly surged in my heart. They had ambushed the Silver Moon Pack yesterday and captured Armstrong and , undoubtedly planning to use us as leverage against Margaret and the Lycan King!
