[Margaret’s POV]

It had only been a few days since Donald encountered Angel in the Misty Forest, where he ordered his assault team mbers to surround and severely injure her.

Shouldn’t she be hiding sowhere, secretly healing? Or, like Elliot, lying in a hospital bed unable to move—she definitely shouldn’t be disgustingly clutching a sniper rifle, appearing on the battlefield, and taking cold shots at from a hidden position!

Had her wounds healed so quickly?

Or was it possible that her being gravely injured by Donald in the Misty Forest was just a deception?

Was her feigned injury and escape rely a ruse to deceive Donald, with the purpose of letting all the Lycans lower their guard, then waiting for an opportunity to strike out of the blue, in hopes of catching us off guard?

Just like now?

In that instant, countless doubts flooded my mind, I couldn’t fathom why Angel was appearing here at this ti; there had to be so strange secret behind it.

While I puzzled over these things, the gunfire and battle around still raged.

Thanks to Donald’s ticulous care, those peculiar rogues could no longer approach ; they were directly taken down by the Lycans working in pairs. Though the battle was tough, ultimate victory was undoubtedly ours.

Angel seed to be infuriated by the evasive tactics I continuously employed, and began frantically shooting at the car in front of !

The sound of gunfire made my heart contract in fright, but it was followed by a surging tide of rage inside ! This woman was so arrogant as to be utterly lawless, as if I not only stole Donald from her but also killed her parents.

I never quite understood why Angel harbored such intense hatred towards ; I just thought this woman must have so major psychological issues—or to put it simply, she was mad!

I was patiently waiting for Donald to give the next instruction, knowing that I couldn’t just stay hidden here forever.

"Margaret! Co over to , move quickly, and don’t lift your head."

It was Donald’s voice coming from behind ; I imdiately turned my head to look and then darted towards him, keeping my body low.

"Where is Angel? Have you seen her on this side?" I asked.

Donald quickly used his large and superior body to shield , his wolf head gently nuzzling my head as if to confirm I was unhard, "I’ve sent Mark and his team after her. She won’t escape!"

"From now on, you must stay close behind at all tis. I worry that besides this large-scale attack by the rogues, the enemy might have more tricks up their sleeve. I’m not comfortable having anyone else protect you!"

Hearing Donald speak like this, naturally, I had no objections. In fact, I yearned to be by his side at all tis because only by knowing he was within my line of sight could my heart settle a bit.

He wanted to protect well, and I was no different!

As night slowly fell, the battle between us and our enemies began to shift. Perhaps due to the length of the fight, the rogues, initially ferocious and aggressive, started to show signs of fatigue.

This was enough to reveal how rigorous the regular training of Donald’s Lycans was, which accounted for their superior endurance on the battlefield.

I followed behind Donald, scanning the surroundings, guessing that if the enemy had no more moves, the battle would probably end within half an hour.

Donald seed to think the sa. He swatted away an overconfident rogue with a sweep of his paw and looked towards Louis, not far from us, and said in a deep voice, "Don’t give them any chance to breathe. Everyone, attack! Notify Mark to find a way to draw Angel here."

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Louis replied respectfully, taking the lead with his Lycans into the enemy ranks.

Yet what none of us expected was a strange turn of events that happened just then!

The rogues, engaged in a bloody battle, suddenly all stopped and turned to retreat towards a birch forest. And Angel, whom Donald had ordered to be pursued, unexpectedly walked out from the woods at that mont.

In her hand, she held a silver pistol, pressing the barrel against the head of a blood-covered Lycan, mockingly looking at Donald and .

"Dear Donald, we et again! Have you missed these past few days? Hahaha, it’s okay if you haven’t. I ca to bring you a gift this ti, you’ll like it, won’t you?"

With an arrogant tone, Angel spoke, and without warning, she suddenly pulled the trigger, blowing the Lycan’s head apart!

The blood-red brain matter sprayed on the ground, and Louis, who had not run far, witnessed this scene and seed to recall sothing suddenly.

He sharply turned his head toward Donald, his voice trembling slightly as he reminded, "That’s one of the personal guard force..."
