[Margaret’s POV]
The thoroughly satisfying sexual encounter I just had with Donald left us both a bit too excited.
The marks on Donald’s upper body were both ambiguous and obvious, and I didn’t want anyone else to see them, not even the physical therapists!
Although werewolves have strong natural healing abilities, it still takes so ti. Before that, I need to do sothing to cover up, after all, my skin is quite thin, not as thick as a certain Lycan King’s, like city walls.
Donald didn’t care about the covert glances from everyone else. After glancing at the paper file passed by Anthony, he asked Benjamin in a calm voice, "How are the Lycans who were injured yesterday? We still have a 2-hour journey before the next rest stop where we can take a breather."
"Also, I’ve contacted the Minister of Palace Patrols, and he will bring his people to et with us later. The healers of the Holy dical Pavilion are also prepared to receive Elliot. We just need to make it there within the agreed ti."
By the ti Donald had finished this statent, he had also finished reading the docunt in his hand, and he raised his eyes to look at the few people standing in front of him, waiting for their response.
"Your Majesty, everyone sustained only minor injuries which have all been taken care of," Benjamin was the first to speak up and answer. "About the task you entrusted with last night, I already have so theories, but to confirm them, we still need the support of so research data."
Regarding what Donald had instructed him to do last night, which Benjamin ntioned, I started feeling curious. Sitting next to Donald, I asked him in a low voice, "What was it? Why so secretive?"
After hearing my question, the expression on Donald’s face changed a bit, showing so annoyance and confusion, "Speaking of this, it’s ti I had a good talk with Benjamin. Haven’t you been researching those potions for several days?"
"Now, tell , this ti Margaret, the assault team, and Guard Team’s Mind-link got blocked midway again. What exactly is the reason for this?"
"Or is it still because of those special potions? But this ti, we did not encounter werewolves who used the powder, and apart from the animal attacks on the way, you didn’t run into any other suspicious individuals, did you?"
After listening to Donald’s queries, I clasped his hand, understanding that he was still fixated on the fact that we had lost contact once again.
Among closely-linked werewolves, the Mind-link should be the most stable and reliable way of communication, but ever since Donald and his group arrived at the Silver Moon Pack, this theory seed to have been challenged many tis.
Apart from the ’Mist’ drug occasionally used by the military, which has a similar effect, there are also special potions from MASTER and even peculiar environntal influences that could block our Mind-link.
It seems to be becoming a common phenonon.
Everyone began to frown slowly, knowing this was abnormal.
"I previously hypothesized that the blocking of Mind-link was due to Your Majesty and the assault team entering the Misty Forest. The environnt and terrain of that forest are very peculiar, and the magnetic field is also very different from the outside, so it seems possible to explain the disruption of Mind-link in this way," Benjamin said.
"I think perhaps that’s also one of the reasons why MASTER chose that place as their stronghold. He indeed is a very talented individual," Benjamin said, shaking his head, seemingly at a loss for words at the enemy’s overly comndable abilities.
After giving it so thought, I still found it strange. Glancing at Benjamin, I asked softly, "When they were in the Misty Forest, it could indeed be explained as you said, but what about after that?"
"After they left the forest, our Mind-link was still ineffective. Could it be that Starry Ravine is also like the Misty Forest, having so kind of magnetic field that affects our ability to contact each other?"
The situation was indeed incredibly bizarre, almost impossible to fully explain.
After hearing my doubts and analysis, Benjamin also fell into deep thought, and the RV quieted down once again.
"It seems this matter is complicated, and we won’t be able to clear it up in a short ti. Let’s put it aside for now," Donald sighed lightly after half a minute of silence, summarizing in such a manner.
With that, he looked toward Anthony, who had been silent throughout, with a look of appreciation in his eyes, "You’ve been a great help to us this ti. I will surely reward you generously when we return to the Palace. Think about what you want, and just tell directly then."
Seemingly not expecting Donald to say that, a look of surprise appeared on Anthony’s face. He paused, then suddenly knelt on one knee, raised his fist to his heart, and said gravely, "It is my honor to serve Your Majesty. Anthony dares not claim a reward for his contribution."
