[Angel’s POV]

Suddenly, MASTER’s voice rang in my mind, instructing to retreat.

I glanced at Margaret in front of . This despicable, diocre she-wolf had sohow developed the ’Being There’ ability with Donald, a very rare special ability among mates. How could Margaret be so lucky!

I couldn’t contain the jealousy and hatred swirling inside . Margaret deserved to die.

MASTER’s angry voice brought back my sanity; I glared fiercely at Margaret, who, empowered by the imnse strength shared by Donald, dared to provoke .

I keenly sensed movents deep in the forest; Donald was coming with his n. I muttered ’damn it’ under my breath.

Although I was reluctant to let this bitch Margaret off so easily, MASTER was right. I couldn’t confront Donald directly at this mont; I had to leave imdiately!

With that thought, I tensed my muscles, preparing to retreat, but Margaret, like a madwoman, lunged directly at .

I dodged her attack with a agile sidestep, a flash of murderous intent crossing my eyes. This wench must have heard Donald’s mind-link and was trying to stop .

I snorted disdainfully, planning to ’play’ with her a bit longer.

Without hesitating, I lunged back at her. Margaret quickly stepped back to dodge. My left-hand attack missed, and my right transford seamlessly into a wolf’s sharp claw, aiming to tear this stupid, worthless wench apart.

While Margaret’s combat moves were crude and naive, her evasion was swift. My claws didn’t manage to tear her apart directly, but the few ters’ distance between us signified I had achieved my objective.

Margaret was still as foolish as before; even with Donald’s fearso power within her, she was no match for , neither in fighting skills nor in wisdom.

I looked at her and smirked sardonically, then without any hesitation, I completed my shift and vanished in the blink of an eye.

The battle with Margaret had drained so of my strength, but it wasn’t a fatal danger. I was just feeling a bit weary.

What really hurt was Margaret’s sudden successful counterattack and Donald’s ’betrayal.’

In my wolf form, I sprinted to the edge of the forest, our prearranged rendezvous point with my Lycan subordinates. I shifted back to human behind an imnsely thick tree and leaned against it, exhausted.

The physical drain and injuries made tired. I leaned on the tree trunk. A few figures erged from the bushes nearby. "You’re hurt? You can’t even beat that she-wolf?"

The speaker was a Lycan nad Arthur, one of MASTER’s n. He was the one who had helped capture Margaret and Elizabeth yesterday.

"So the forr commander of the assault team, a big na in the Lycan king’s squad, is just this capable, huh! Angel, you seem much weaker than our master anticipated..."

"Have you said enough?" I looked up coldly, not really in the mood for idle talk with these Lycans, "I need to see MASTER. Where is he now?"

Seemingly choked by my icy deanor, Arthur’s expression turned sour. If not for the wary Lycans by my side, I bet he would have rudely clashed with directly.

Though MASTER’s subordinates seem very capable, each one is tough to deal with, necessitating absolute caution and care when collaborating.

"Hmph." Arthur snorted unwillingly but eventually responded to my question, "The master will et you, but not now. We have other tasks to do now. Co with , dear Angel."

I looked at Arthur quizzically and asked coldly, "What do you an? I’ve done everything I was supposed to. What ’task’ does MASTER have still?"

I looked around at the Lycans nearby as my brow slowly furrowed, "My team mbers have all been injured to varying degrees. We need treatnt and rest, not so damn continued tasks!"

"Also, during the recent fight, your n didn’t give their full effort. You think I don’t know that? Do you take us for idiots to be used at your convenience?"

"Arthur, the task you ntioned was assigned by MASTER, right? So you think you can deceive and use us? Aren’t you being overly naive?"
