The soldiers guarding Xia Pass in Beichang Country have been vigilantly watching every movent of Jun Moling’s army.

As the commander of Beichang, Chunyu Mingyan was particularly anxious at this mont.

He knew well that Xia Pass was the key to their survival; once it fell, Beichang Country would completely collapse.

However, if they could successfully defend it and form a stalemate with the enemy, then relying on the national strength of Dayi, they would eventually win, and the final victory would belong to Beichang.

But right now, their forces were a full hundred thousand fewer than Jun Moling’s army.

In such a scenario, they had no choice but to strictly guard and desperately try to block Jun Moling’s army outside the Guard River.

"Where is Jun Moling now?" Chunyu Mingyan urgently asked, a hint of uncontrollable anxiety in his voice.

The scout was taken aback by the sharp question as soon as he ca in and hurriedly replied, "They are almost at Moon Valley."

Chunyu Mingyan had a sinister smile on his lips; to him, as long as Dayi’s troops passed through Moon Valley, it would beco their grave.

Because they had ticulously buried almost all explosives in the valley, waiting for Jun Moling’s army to step into this death trap.

"Scout again!" Chunyu Mingyan ordered sharply.

Just as his voice fell, a soldier stumbled in frantically, his face full of fear and panic, "Commander, sothing’s wrong, all our ambushed troops above Moon Valley have been captured."

Chunyu Mingyan felt a buzzing in his head, as if hit by a heavy hamr, his limbs cold as a chill rose from his heart.

"Report, Jun Moling’s army is only three miles from outside the Guard River!"

Chunyu Mingyan’s legs almost gave way, he gritted his teeth, straightening his back, and raised a bloodthirsty smile at the corner of his mouth, his eyes showing determination and madness: "Tell all soldiers to prepare for battle! We shall fight to the death with Jun Moling."

The generals shouted "Yes!" with overwhelming montum.

At this point, there was no other way but to fight hard in this battle.

Fortunately, the terrain of Xia Pass was treacherous, easy to defend and hard to attack, making it impossible for Jun Moling to conquer easily.

The two armies faced off, the air thick with a strong atmosphere of killing intent.

Shen Ruoxi was now dressed as a man, wearing neat, plain attire, her long ponytail tied, moving like the wind, silently infiltrating the Guard River.

Until Shen Ruoxi left, Jun Moling’s heart was pounding wildly, cold sweat continuously trickling down from beneath his helt.

He knew very well that if sothing happened to Shen Ruoxi, it wouldn’t just be about dying with her; he would also beco a historical criminal!

Perhaps future history books would all berate him.

But he understood the heavy responsibility at this mont, and despite his imnse worry, he had to force himself to remain calm, his gaze fixed on Chunyu Mingyan across, not daring to relax for a mont.

On the battlefield, the wind howled, and flags fluttered.

The soldiers on both sides stood at daggers drawn, the tense atmosphere seed to freeze the air.

A great battle was about to erupt.

"Chunyu Mingyan, your encroachnt on our territory and your provocation of war between the two countries are unforgivable. If you repent now and return our land, I can spare your life!"

Jun Moling’s powerful voice echoed across the tense battlefield.

Chunyu Mingyan laughed coldly, "Jun Moling, since ancient tis, the victor is king, and the defeated is the bandit. Spare your words, let’s settle this in battle, not with words." His eyes were filled with provocation and determination.

Jun Moling knew he couldn’t glance towards the Guard River, but his eyes still couldn’t help but flick in that direction.

Shen Ruoxi was an excellent swimr, moving through the water like a nimble fish, quickly reaching the drawbridge.

The biggest concern at the mont was the sentry post above; if they detected her and took counterasures, she would not only be in danger, but cutting the ropes of the drawbridge would beco nearly impossible.

So, as soon as she erged, she rushed up with astounding speed.

Before the opposing soldiers could react, she had already leaped onto the sentry post, her sword flashing as it fell, and the two soldiers in front of her fell to the ground.

The Beichang soldiers never expected soone to breach their ranks silently; before they could report, Shen Ruoxi’s anesthetic was already in their midst.

In an instant, before the opposing soldiers could resist, they all fell to the ground unconscious.

Ignoring these incapacitated soldiers, Shen Ruoxi leapt swiftly towards the drawbridge.

Her body was as light as a swallow, her speed ghostly, reaching the drawbridge more than ten feet high in the blink of an eye.

The crossbown protecting her from Dayi Country were fully alert, eyes locked on her figure, ready to release arrows imdiately to ensure her safe retreat at the slightest mishap.

Because Shen Ruoxi’s Qinggong route was very covert, Beichang did not notice her, but Xiao Chengyi on the opposite side did.

In an instant, he felt a chill all over, so nervous that he didn’t know where to place his hands and feet.

The atmosphere on the battlefield grew heavier, almost freezing the air.

Ning Zhen, standing beside Xiao Chengyi, initially didn’t notice Shen Ruoxi stealthily infiltrating the hostile camp from the Guard River, attempting to cut the drawbridge’s iron lock.

At that mont, she only felt that sothing was off with Xiao Chengyi, even his warhorse seed restless and uneasy.

She followed Xiao Chengyi’s worried gaze, startled to see that plain figure swiftly moving along the wall, almost reaching the crucial drawbridge.

For the first ti, Ning Zhen witnessed Shen Ruoxi’s extraordinary Qinggong, her graceful and valiant posture was astonishing.

However, at this mont, she had no ti to envy Xiao Chengyi’s concern for Shen Ruoxi; her only thought was that this military rit must not be taken by Shen Ruoxi.

If Shen Ruoxi indeed achieved this feat, she might never outweigh her in Xiao Chengyi’s heart, nor be able to secure his affection firmly.

Therefore, she had to seize this military rit.

Resolutely, Ning Zhen stabbed her toe on the ground and leapt towards the drawbridge.

"Zhen’er, co back!" Xiao Chengyi shouted, urgent with anxiety.

But Ning Zhen seed oblivious, her Qinggong also quite remarkable, quickly flying to the opposite bank.

However, her sudden action instantly drew the attention of Beichang’s soldiers.

In an instant, Beichang’s ranks descended into chaos.

"Commander, not good, they’re trying to cut the drawbridge’s iron lock!" a soldier shouted in panic.

Chunyu Mingyan turned his head at the sound, seeing a woman rapidly approaching the drawbridge.

Upon closer inspection, he broke into a cold sweat because there was already soone on the drawbridge.

If the drawbridge’s lock was cut, causing it to collapse, they would be unable to stop Dayi Country’s army from surging forward, and Xia Pass would be lost.

"Archers! Kill them!" Chunyu Mingyan ordered grimly, his expression cold.

Instantly, the sound of bowstrings twanged, and arrows flew like a swarm towards Shen Ruoxi and Ning Zhen.
