A ray of light shot out of nowhere, and the mont it touched the ground, it transford into the figure of Yun Wuji.
With one hand clasped behind his back, he swept his gaze across the surroundings. Both sky and earth were dyed in a withered yellow hue, a desolate world that seed drained of all vitality. The sand beneath his feet moved endlessly, carrying within it an overwhelming force of sand and rock. Anyone whose cultivation was insufficient could be dragged under in an instant and buried for eternity.
Although the ground, or rather the sand, was in constant motion, one could still see rock pillars of every shape and size in the distance. They rose high into the heavens and stood as unmoving as ancient trees, unaffected by the restless quicksand around them.
The swirling sand across both sky and ground gave the Qilin God Realm the appearance of a true world of sand. From ti to ti, high level earth spirits revealed themselves, radiating either a faint or a dense, profound light.
"Sheesh! No wonder people say this place is a paradise for practitioners who cultivate earth law," Yun Wuji exclaid loudly as he walked casually. The density of the earth elent here was many tis greater than anywhere outside. If soone cultivating earth law from the Primal Chaos were to see this place, they would probably orgasm on the spot.
A door of dense silver light suddenly appeared before Yun Wuji, and from it another figure walked out; it was the Heretic God body.
To avoid trouble while traveling to the Abyss, Yun Wuji stored his other body inside the world of his profound veins. With the chaotic spatial ss there, it was far too easy for the bodies to beco separated, and there was even a chance that the Heretic God body could die if it was unlucky.
Back then, when Yun Wuji wanted to leave, almost all his won and even his daughter wanted to go with him, but he obviously refused. The environnt in the Abyss was far harsher than the Primal Chaos, and he did not want his won to suffer.
Even when he left, he did so secretly without informing them because he knew they might get clingy, and so, like Qianye Ying'er, Shui iyin, Xia Qingyue, and others, would insist on going with him.
He still had the Devil Body there, so it was not a big deal to leave without bidding them farewell.
Yun Wuji tapped the ground lightly and shot east, in the direction of the Qilin. Even soone who had never entered the Qilin God Realm or had no information about it would know its location as soon as they set foot in the realm.
The sea of sand to the east was bathed in a strange sheen of yellow light. It was the legendary light of the Qilin. An incredibly powerful pressure radiated from it, countless tis stronger than that of the Knight in training he had encountered before.
The yellow Qilin light grew clearer and more intense as he drew closer.
In a very short ti, Yun Wuji's two bodies reached the source of the light.
While standing proudly atop the sheen of Qilin light, Yun Wuji channeled his profound aura and shouted, "The Great Emperor of the Primal Chaos and the successor of the Creation God of Elents, Yun Wuji, has co to see you!"
His roar scattered the fog of sand, shook the surrounding space, and left ripples in the light that lingered for a long, long ti.
Then the world suddenly fell silent.
The sand ceased its endless flow, and his roar no longer spread. Every grain of sand and speck of dust froze in place. It was as if the world itself had co to a complete standstill.
The yellow Qilin light suddenly expanded, enveloping hundreds of kiloters of space. At the sa ti, an aura as vast as a sea pressed down on Yun Wuji, only to disperse like an insignificant breeze the mont it touched him.
With a light tremor, the light around him solidified. Looking around, Yun Wuji saw that it had transford into a gigantic, profound light palace, and he stood at its very center.
A pair of colossal eyes slowly opened in the space before him. Each eye was thirty ters wide and nearly perfectly circular, with pupils that resembled ancient monoliths. The yellow light within them shone like topaz.
"Inheritor of the Creation God of Elents? The Great Emperor of the Primal Chaos?" A heavy, ancient voice echoed beside his ears. "You ca from the other world?"
"Yes." This was a secret he should never reveal to a denizen of the Abyss, and yet Yun Wuji answered the Qilin God without the slightest hesitation. "I have co to retrieve the elental seed inside your body. I hope you will fulfill my wish."
He did it because he was completely certain the Qilin God would be dead by the ti he left this place. If he did not sacrifice himself, Yun Wuji would have to 'gently' persuade the god to die.
"Hehe!" The Qilin God's low chuckle shook the Qilin Sacred Palace. "By showing yourself here, are you not afraid of being buried in this sandy abyss for eternity?"
"Since I ca here naturally, I am confident in my safety," Yun Wuji replied calmly. "One of the Creation God of Elents' elental seeds is inside your body. You should know I am telling the truth the mont you perceived my aura."
His Heretic body unleashed profound energy. In his left hand, he ford a fireball, in his right an icicle. A gust of wind swirled beneath his feet, and lightning crackled around his body.
"So what if you are the successor of the Creation God of Elents? You are just a human Divine Sovereign!" The Qilin God scoffed coldly, its eyes flaring as the pressure emanating from it abruptly intensified.
"It is true that the seed you desire is inside my body. In fact, my very life has beco bound to it. If I give it to you, I will perish for sure. Why would I hand my life over to a re human Divine Sovereign?" Its gaze remained fixed on the Heretic body, observing the cultivation he displayed.
If this were the past, Yun Wuji, when he was still very weak, he would have relied on his number one skill, his acting, to bullshit his way and gaslight the Qilin God into handing over the Earth Seed.
But right now, that was completely unnecessary. He was strong, strong enough to punch through any obstacle standing between him and the seed.
"You want to justify my request? Very well," he said, loud and clear.
Rumble!
The yellow Qilin Sacred Palace shook violently. Tremors spread everywhere, even beyond the supposedly impenetrable palace that was ant to isolate anything. Ripples surged through the space, the yellow light was pushed back, and even the two gigantic eyes of the Qilin quivered, shrinking to pinpoints as they stared at the shocking change.
"Does this answer satisfy you?" Yun Wuji's main body spoke in a calm tone. His voice alone dispersed the pressure that had emanated from the Qilin monts before. Changing his tone, he added, "Of course, I can give you another reason."
"The only reason you have survived until today is the Creation God of Elents' elental seed. Without it, you might have perished long ago or joined the abyssal beasts in the Endless Fog."
"In a sense, the Creation God of Elents saved your life and allowed your kind to endure to this age. A favor like that cannot be repaid in a million lifetis, yet here I am, his successor, rely asking you to hand over the elental seed."
The Qilin God remained silent for a long ti, seemingly unable to recover from the shock the main body had caused him. When he heard Yun Wuji's next words, his pupils shrank again. "Unbelievable... Even though my strength has greatly declined, my insight rarely fails . To think that, despite releasing such a powerful aura, I still cannot sense your cultivation realm."
"No wonder you ca fearlessly to this place. And you even managed to bypass the barrier set up by the Abyssal Monarch."
As Yun Wuji's cultivation rose, it beca much more difficult for others to perceive it. Right now, probably not even a True God could discern his realm unless he willingly allowed them to.
"I do not know what is happening, or if perhaps my eyes are failing , but it appears to that you have two bodies, and they are not simply clones, and certainly not twins," the Qilin God said, staring at Yun Wuji's two bodies in amazent. "It is beyond how you managed to create two bodies and raise them to this level."
The Qilin God did not seem upset or frustrated by Yun Wuji's aggressiveness. On the contrary, it seed sowhat pleased. "Your reasons are indeed correct. With the power you have just displayed and the foundation you possess, you have the right to obtain the Earth Seed from ."
In fact, the mont Yun Wuji appeared and displayed his Heretic God power, the Qilin God had already intended to return the seed. A major reason it continued to exist in this pathetic state, barely able to sustain itself, was to give the seed to its rightful owner.
To the Qilin God, Yun Wuji's arrival was the best surprise it had experienced in ages.
"But young human, you are missing the most important quality you must have in this Abyss," the Qilin God said, abruptly changing its tone. "Vigilance."
"As an outsider, it is inevitable that you will draw attention once your identity is revealed. If they learn that you possess the inheritance of the Creation God of Elents as well, you will surely be hunted by everyone in the Abyss. It would be unimaginably difficult for you to act when that happens."
"That is why you should not have revealed everything to . Aren't you afraid I might announce all of it to this world?"
'Of course not! I will make sure you never get that chance!' Yun Wuji thought to himself, but what he said aloud was different from his thoughts. "I do believe in your character. You are the final Qilin. I trust that you would rather die than lose your last bit of radiance."
To the Qilin race, betraying others, their benefactors, and those who strive to "save the world" was a cardinal sin that would taint not only their own honor but that of their entire race. It would not be an exaggeration to say they would be denounced and ridiculed by later generations for eternity.
He was the final Qilin. He must protect his race's last honor and preserve its nobility of the past.
Of course, that was not absolute. Take Qi Tianli, for example. If pushed to the edge, he would definitely betray Yun Wuji in order to save his own race.
"Hehehehe, you definitely have a silver tongue."
The Qilin God was a supre being who had lived for god-knows-how-many years. How could he believe that Yun Wuji's words truly reflected his intentions? He could certainly bet his abyssal dust-contaminated balls that Yun Wuji's confidence ca from knowing it would die.
"However, you seem to have forgotten that this place is nad the Qilin God Realm, a gift the Abyssal Monarch Himself has bestowed upon . I may hide your existence from the rest of the world, but I am obligated to reveal it to the Abyssal Monarch. Do you understand the situation you're in right now?"
Yun Wuji smiled, a sowhat pitying smile. "Co on, man… I an Qilin. I know your relationship with the Abyssal Monarch isn't nearly as close as the people of the Abyss believe. In fact, I would even say the two of you are deeply estranged over a certain topic."
"..." The divine light in the Qilin God's eyes suddenly dimd. It didn't mouth a retort because it was the truth, and it wanted to know how Yun Wuji was able to find out about this.
"Although I have only been in this world for less than a week, I know far more than others," Yun Wuji spoke quietly. "You must have discovered that the reason the Abyss's laws are deteriorating is that guy who calls himself the Abyssal Monarch."
"How did you know?!" The two gigantic eyes trembled as the Qilin God's normally composed voice revealed another wave of shock and astonishnt, far greater than when Yun Wuji had displayed his power.
This was because the information Yun Wuji revealed was sothing he believed only he and the Abyssal Monarch knew.
"Of course, I would know. The very reason I ca to this place is because of it. Getting the Earth Seed is just a side quest," Yun Wuji spoke calmly, ignoring the Qilin's shock. "The cradle the Abyssal Monarch created has been slowly destroying the laws of this world. The reason the phenonon called the Black Tides is appearing is also because of it."
"That man's obsession with saving his lover is terrifying."
Of course, Yun Wuji could still sympathize with Mo Su. If he were in his shoes, he would have done the sa. If any of his won were injured or on the verge of death, and the only way to save them was to sacrifice the world and all its living beings, he would do it without the slightest hesitation. He could bear all the sins in the world if it ant keeping his lovers safe.
